Welcome to Thursday Coffee Hour. This is an open topic so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. As an artist since childhood one of the hardest questions to answer is how I come up with ideas for my artwork or jewelry. I have been on a new jewelry making spree and thought maybe I could try and explain how I go about the creative process with one of the new necklaces. The necklace is called Sleeping Fox.

The first thing in most of my necklaces is spotting a piece that will be used as a pendant. I couldn't resist this little fellow. He is antique gold with sparkles on him.

Next is to decide what I want to use to hold the pendant. Since I have been doing jewelry for years I have a lot of beads and chains to choose from. Pixie of course gets a say so in the beads. She also lets me know what fasteners I'll need.

After choosing a selection of what I think may make a good design I lay out the supplies for a preliminary design.

I will then narrow it down to the final choices.

At that point Pixie helps me make a final necklace which would take half the time to make without her help.
