Bernie Sanders on Hillary's Votes and Positions: "I don't think you are qualified to be President if..."

The Very Best Candidate to Preserve the Status Quo!

Of course, the Ruling Elite has their hair on fire after hearing this statement of Bernie's because, in their eyes, each and every item on this list makes Hillary Clinton eminently qualified to be the next President of the United States.

I don't think you are qualified if you have voted for the disastrous war in Iraq. I don't think you are qualified if you've supported virtually every disastrous trade agreement, which has cost us millions of decent paying jobs. I don't think you are qualified if you supported the Panama free trade agreement, something I very strongly opposed and which, as all of you know, has allowed corporations and wealthy people all over the world to avoid paying their taxes to their countries.

I've watched the collective internet--oh wait, I meant that other progressive site--screaming their heads off over this one.

What I found most hilarious is it was only ONE statement I kept seeing, until I came over here, and that was the one where HRC wasn't qualified to be president if she's taking superPAC money with its various special interest ties.

Going off even that one statement, I agree; I'm so sick of politicians who care more about what's going on in their pockets than about the people they're supposed to be representing. And no, a President beholden to Goldman Sachs and the Saudi royal family and who knows how many other financial backers is NOT qualified to lead the country, no matter what accomplishments are on their resume.

And just because HRC said she's "not sure" if Bernie's qualified, doesn't mean she thinks he is or isn't; it's called political pandering, something Bernie doesn't do. We have two totally beholdenless candidates who speak their minds this round; too bad one of them is a complete lunatic, but that just means Bernie looks even better. Smile

that I didn't sleep well last night after hearing Bernie's "not qaulified" comments. Not that I disagree with him, but I hope the gd lame street media doesn't turn it into the Dean Scream- which they obviously are trying to do.

I still follow Billmon and he is absolutely correct that Bernie hit a nerve, or "technocratic hot button" with that argument. To the pundits and elites, meritocracy is everything.

To elites who perceive their own status rests firmly on the "meritocratic" ideal, nothing is more sacred than "qualifications."

So yes, by that definition Clinton's near perfect CV is eminently qualifying.
However, ethically and morally, Clinton falls far short and yes, that does disqualify her for the Presidency.

I hope the voters realize that, and not listen to the spin.

This is a race like no other, so the Dean Scream doesn't figure here. This isn't just a horse race for the ruling elites to bet on. Too many people are hurting. Too many people are sick and tired of politics and political games as usual.

The main stream media can try and gin up all of their outrage. But Bernie's supporters know that what he said is the plain and simple truth.

Bernie is loud and brash, he sure is, and he's using that quality to fight on our side. We've been waiting a long time for a candidate who is on our side and is not afraid to say it.

They're not the same.

For example, I was 18 when I realized that my college GPA represented a credential, rather than a qualification, given that it was based, not on what I knew or had learned, but whether I showed up for class at 8am (after working at a pizza restaurant till midnight) to take a quiz on material I had learned in high school.
