Nice to take a break. Love the opening song ... and the flowers!

I am in the middle of planting a few more petunias in containers right now. Some marigolds caught my eye at the garden center, so I'm putting a few of those in too. Haven't had marigolds with petunias before. We will see how it turns out.

Hope you are having a good holiday weekend, joe. And, everybody. I am just staying in mostly and taking it easy.

You're the best, joe. If I had someone to dig holes for me, I might have fewer in containers and more in the ground. Wink

We are still working on trust issues. Her old-timey vet, also a Cairn owner says that they are cat-like. This one head-bumped a freshly bought parsley plant, ignoring others. Other cat-like behaviors, all clues. Sleeping/snoring now.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

those are pretty bad. i wonder who writes their headlines.

the first one, though, is pretty funny. except that the dems are so busy shooting themselves in the foot, that they will have to hop to the circle.

Love that red flower the best, I think, because of the others faintly in the background.

everyone a wonderful Memorial Day. Thank you for the gorgeous photos and tunes, Joe.

Still busy with Family. Had a fun time building our neighborhood bonfire, which was on our property. Gonna cook out this evening--a (mostly) vegetarian BBQ!

Wink

Oh, want to mention to folks that elenacarlena has a wonderful Critter Essay up--sorta a new Group, I guess you might say. So, please, swing by the 'Caucus Critters,' and say 'hello,' if you have a chance.

It's here.

Traffic's been heavy, we hear, although we didn't do the traveling this time. We're on the road later this week, though. Should be better by then.

Again, hope Everyone is having a nice and safe Memorial Day!

Bye

Mollie

and was touched by it and thought I share it here:

Some – a poem by Daniel Berrigan
(to the Plowshares 8, with love)
by Daniel Berrigan

Some stood up once, and sat down.
Some walked a mile, and walked away.

Some stood up twice, then sat down.
“It’s too much,” they cried.
Some walked two miles, then walked away.
“I’ve had it,” they cried,

Some stood and stood and stood.
They were taken for fools,
they were taken for being taken in.

Some walked and walked and walked –
they walked the earth,
they walked the waters,
they walked the air.

“Why do you stand?” they were asked, and
“Why do you walk?”

“Because of the children,” they said, and
“Because of the heart, and
“Because of the bread,”

“Because the cause is
the heart’s beat, and
the children born, and
the risen bread.”

There is so little I know and discover so many things. I feel like a child right now. Amy Goodman had a special today about Father Berrigan and Michael Ratner. I bet most of you know the poem.

Beautiful flowers, Joe. I should look at a flower every day. Smile
My son just told me that he is happy every morning when he wakes up, sees the sky and is still alive. Me too.
