I was reading through a few pro-Trump reddits last night, and by backing out when and how he did actually managed to do real damage among his supporters.

When your whole persona is built around being a tough guy who doesn't care about political correctness, backing out was the dumbest possible move he could make. And then to say the debate would have been "inappropriate?" OMG, that did not go over well. Even among his supporters they were grumbling that by following Hillary's proclamation that there "will be no debate" after the GOP seemed okay with it that he really might be a Clinton crony plant who's going to throw the election to Hillary.

It was... surrealistic.

The vast majority of his supporters don't get that his policies are idiotic, his position is fascist and that he's a coward and a bully.

However when he backed off he SHOWED exactly what he was: That asshole nobody likes, who welshes on bets when he loses.

Nobody, not even Trumpkins, likes that. They wanted their bloodsport and they got this:

I seriously hope Bernie pursues this.

Last night Scott Adams (Dilbert) was on Bill Maher (as was Bernie) as the end guest and he's a hypnotist and trained in the art of persuasion and explained, very very well how Trump works and why Trump works. He predicted over a year ago that Trump would win in a landslide because he was watching Trump and saw that he was incredibly gifted at Persuasion.

This was not, as some thought, an endorsement of Trump but rather an analysis. He thinks Trump is frighteningly good as a salesman/showman/con man. All the same techniques that he explained. He explained why facts don't matter to Trumps supporters, he also explained how Trump was A/B testing memes with his audience to see what worked and what didn't. That's why he is throwing all these memes out there in his rally, he gives people two choices, sees which works and then tosses what doesn't.

The guy is a master manipulator and in my words, master con-man.

The ONLY way to go after someone like this, who has this much support is to persuade back.

Bernie and his supporters need to pound on #ChickenTrump, he is a coward and a bully (most bullies are cowards at heart) Bernie and his army need to discredit Trump in the eyes of Trumps supporters.

That's how you fight Trump.

HRC is more than clearly incapable of doing that. Scott also explained/demonstrated exactly how HRC's slogans all fell so incredibly flat. In his words the slogans were all corporate jargon, they make sense on paper, but when you hear them, feel them, they work in the opposite direction from what is intended.
