Nine times Clinton Foundation donors got special access at State

by Sarah Westwood, washingtonexaminer.com -- 1/14/16

Hillary Clinton has forcefully denied reports that the FBI is expanding its investigation of her private email network to include allegations of "public corruption" involving the Clinton Foundation.

But thousands of emails made public by the State Department between May of last year and Friday indicate donors to the Clinton Foundation were often given personal meetings, generous contracts or special consideration that was seemingly not afforded to the same number of private groups that had not written checks to the charity.

The allegations that sparked the reported probe, which the FBI has yet to confirm or deny, focus simply on whether the State Department extended preferential treatment to Clinton Foundation contributors. [...]

That article goes on to describe the deals and favors granted by the former SOS to active corporate donors to the Clinton Foundation. Much of these quid-pro-quo details were disclosed from the "wheeling-and-dealing" contents of Clinton's private email server. No wonder she was so keen to delete nearly half of her email history as Secretary of State, once the FBI came knocking. A "public service" history that is supposed to become "public record" by the way.

What about those private "side-deals" under the auspiciouses of the U.S. public banner -- are they still "technically" a public record? Or are they really more like those inconsequential "personal" messages, talking about "yoga class and wedding details"??? Like private speeches to a small group of your Top One Percent friends, for a Fee. ... Messages, that Inquiring minds, no longer want to know ...

Inconsequential messages to Blackstone Group, Honeywell, Morgan Stanley, Greif, Inc., Merck, Cisco, Boeing, Morgan Stanley General Electric, George Soros -- sealing the deals and delivering things like a boost in arm sales to so many unheralded foreign interests?

Why should anyone care about those "private" QPQ actions, as SOS? ... Why indeed.

Clinton Foundation Donors Got Weapons Deals From Hillary Clinton's State Department

by David Sirota and Andrew Perez, ibtimes.com -- 05/26/15

Even by the standards of arms deals between the United States and Saudi Arabia, this one was enormous. A consortium of American defense contractors led by Boeing would deliver $29 billion worth of advanced fighter jets to the United States' oil-rich ally in the Middle East.
[...]

But now, in late 2011, Hillary Clinton’s State Department was formally clearing the sale, asserting that it was in the national interest. At press conferences in Washington to announce the department’s approval, an assistant secretary of state, Andrew Shapiro, declared that the deal had been “a top priority” for Clinton personally. Shapiro, a longtime aide to Clinton since her Senate days, added that the “U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army have excellent relationships in Saudi Arabia.”
[...]

The Clinton-led State Department also authorized $151 billion of separate Pentagon-brokered deals for 16 of the countries that donated to the Clinton Foundation, resulting in a 143 percent increase in completed sales to those nations over the same time frame during the Bush administration. These extra sales were part of a broad increase in American military exports that accompanied Obama’s arrival in the White House. The 143 percent increase in U.S. arms sales to Clinton Foundation donors compares to an 80 percent increase in such sales to all countries over the same time period.

American defense contractors also donated to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state and in some cases made personal payments to Bill Clinton for speaking engagements. Such firms and their subsidiaries were listed as contractors in $163 billion worth of Pentagon-negotiated deals that were authorized by the Clinton State Department between 2009 and 2012.

The State Department formally approved these arms sales even as many of the deals enhanced the military power of countries ruled by authoritarian regimes whose human rights abuses had been criticized by the department. Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar all donated to the Clinton Foundation and also gained State Department clearance to buy caches of American-made weapons even as the department singled them out for a range of alleged ills, from corruption to restrictions on civil liberties to violent crackdowns against political opponents.

It's a dirty job, but someone's got to grease the wheels of the Global Corporate-Oligarchic Economy. Just don't be surprised when those kind of emails, somehow get "unintentionally wiped" ... Ooops. How "careless" of me. I've said too much and provided too many links already ... Oh Noes!

Hillary makes even the shadiest arms dealers look like Boy Scouts.

How many millions of lives has this woman shattered simply for her own personal enrichment?

Now just imagine how many more if she becomes President.

Nice job jamess.

I tried going to SIPRI to find details behind the chart, but no dice. But,
- the U.S. sells more arms to South Korea than anyone else?
- Singapore is a major arms importer?
- no Saudi Arabia?

The chart may be accurate, but it sure doesn't match up with my expectations.

The picture posted in this diary has been posted a gazillion times.

Every time I see this picture and read that Hillary didn't want to carry two phones, so for convenience she had her own email server for both her personal and work email, I can't help but think if she ditched that large broach, large necklace, and large sunglasses, she could have easily carried a second BlackBerry.

Most people seem to have missed this:

“There are reasons when you start out in Washington on a Blackberry you stay on it in many instances. But it's also — I don't know, I don't throw anything away. I'm like two steps short of a hoarder. So I have an iPad, a mini iPad, an iPhone and a Blackberry."Source

When she wants to, apparently, she can carry a lot of devices. It still does not explain, even if she only used one device, why she could not handle two different email accounts--which can both reside on one device.

The Clintons are the causes of their many scandals. They believe that they are above the laws and when someone calls them out on it, they cry foul. The Mafia could learn something from the Clintons. They are truly arrogant and disgusting human beings who do not care about any other living beings unless they can be used to feather their already overflowing bank accounts. Hubris=Clintons.

I have been commenting on this conflict of interest for months here and over there. Over there I have been accused of spreading right wing talking points even though I've documented the accusations from reputable sites.
But they won't believe that this happened. Or they say that the Clinton foundation does great charity work with AIDS drugs in Africa. According to the charity navigator which gives the foundation a bad review, they state that the foundation doesn't give much of their money away to charity.
A lot of the money goes to paying high salaries for the people on their staff, using it to pay for air travel on private jets and other luxuries.
Has anyone heard anywhere else that the foundation is helping people or countries? Gee, just think how far those billions would go to help the refugees that had to flee from the countries that Hillary's foreign policy helped decimate!
And as stated, the people who donate to her foundation sure get a lot in return for their donations.
The Clintons are corrupt to their core and have been for their entire political careers. And they have brought a lot of misery and deaths to people in this country and around the world!
And they are going to get back in the White House and continue to destroy people's lives.
Bill was in the process of privatizing social security, but thankfully his sexual escapades saved us from that. Anyone want to bet that Hillary won't work with the republicans to finish what he started?
I don't want either one of them close to power in the White House again.
I just wish that people would wake the hell up and see how corrupt those two are!

So even though she signed an agreement with

“The word was out to these groups that one of the best ways to gain access and influence with the Clintons was to give to this foundation,” said Meredith McGehee, policy director at the Campaign Legal Center, an advocacy group that seeks to tighten campaign finance disclosure rules. “This shows why having public officials, or even spouses of public officials, connected with these nonprofits is problematic.”
And even though she signed a agreement saying that she would keep her duties as SOS separate from her foundation, no one at the state department or the White House who 'reviewed' these deals had a problem with what she and Bill did.
I hope that this gets more attention tomorrow.
I'm going to save these links and continue to post this information over there. I'm not going to quit exposing what those two represent and the threat of the damage they can do if she is elected president.

Hillary Clinton’s willingness to allow those with business before the State Department to finance her foundation heightens concerns about how she would manage such relationships as president, said Lawrence Lessig, the director of Harvard University’s Safra Center for Ethics.

snip

before Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State, the Clinton Foundation signed an agreement generally obligating it to disclose to the State Department increases in contributions from its existing foreign government donors and any new foreign government donors. Those increases were to be reviewed by an official at the State Department and “as appropriate” the White House counsel’s office. According to available disclosures, officials at the State Department and White House raised no issues about potential conflicts related to arms sales.

How Monica Lewinsky saved social security.

http://www.counterpunch.org/2004/10/30/how-monica-lewinsky-saved-social-...
Let us now reconstruct the plot in greater detail.

Had it not been for Monica’s captivating smile and first inviting snap of that famous thong, President Bill Clinton would have consummated the politics of triangulation, heeding the counsel of a secret White House team and deputy treasury secretary Larry Summers. Late in 1998 or in the State of the Union message of 1999 a solemn Clinton would have told Congress and the nation that, just like welfare, Social Security was near-broke, had to be “reformed” and its immense pool of capital tendered in part to the mutual funds industry. The itinerary mapped out for Clinton by the Democratic Leadership Committee would have been complete.

It was a desperately close run thing. On the account of members of Clinton’s secret White House team, mandated to map out the privatization path for Social Security, they had got as far down the road as fine-tuning the account numbers for Social Security accounts now released to the captious mercies of Wall Street. But in 1998 the Lewinsky scandal burst upon the President, and as the months sped by and impeachment swelled from a remote specter to a looming reality, Clinton’s polls told him that his only hope was to nourish the widespread popular dislike for the hoity-toity elites intoning Clinton’s death warrant.

And try to find a showing of the movie Clinton Cash. First look at the explosive documentary Clinton Cash!
http://nypost.com/2016/05/17/first-look-at-explosive-hillary-documentary...

In announcing the $2 million gift, "Clinton did not point out that, to secure the donation, the State Department had set aside ethics guidelines that first prohibited solicitations of Boeing and then later permitted only a $1 million gift from the company," the Post reported in April of last year. "Boeing had been included on a list of firms to be avoided because of its frequent reliance on the government for help negotiating overseas business and concern that a donation could be seen as an attempt to curry favor with U.S. officials."

The State Department's pavilion was sponsored by Pepsi, General Electric, Procter and Gamble, Pfizer, Intel, Honeywell, Yum! Foods, Boeing and Qualcomm.

Each of those companies have also donated heavily to the Clinton Foundation.

is the real story here. Thank you for writing about this, James. I find it hard to believe that Hillary Clinton has not overtly violated many of the procedures of the State Department regarding the pay to play sales of arms to many foreign countries. This is just another example of how corrupt the Clintons are. I hope you will write more on this subject.

“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”

What's good for the goose isn't apparently good for the gander.

My biggest problem with Hillary (aside from all the actual negatives) is that her acolytes are essentially paving the way for future bad behavior. There's a moral hazard here in that they're excusing any appearance of impropriety by all future leaders. Clinton supporters scream the mantra "No proof!", but what would they think if all of these stories were about a Republican? The graft, the attacks on women, the destruction of evidence, the war. The cognitive dissonance with that crowd is off the charts.

because what I am feeling is that Hillary (and Bill) will get away with all of this and everything else we've read about, just as they have for decades. One thing I know, they are corrupt and this nation is going to suffer if she should become Dear Leader. I cannot stomach much more information about what they have done, and worse still, when I think about what they will do in the White House, again.

What is the cosmic message, lesson, to all of us about all of this? WHY do we seem to be doomed to the worst people in office, on both sides? Even if Bernie could swing this election, how in hell would he deal with the Democratic Congressionals who have gone full-out for Hillary, (and internationals!) knowing full well the Republicans will have a huge sigh of relief, too, if she takes office instead of Trump?

The Bilderberg Group that invited Hillary way back-when in 1997 to one of their yearly conferences comes to mind. Read the list of attendees from the U.S. -- Kissinger is on the list with others you know: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bilderberg_participants , and again she was invited as recently as 2012 at their conference in Virginia. There is much, much more about this group, but here's the recent link about Hillary's last attendance: http://www.globalresearch.ca/bilderberg-chooses-hillary-clinton-for-2016... Call it CT if you want. I've done a lot of reading about this Group and what I read is daunting.

This nation does seem to be run like the mafia. BTW... I have believed that for a VERY long time and after Bush II, I was hoping our Democrats would clean house. It hasn't happened and instead they are falling in line for Hillary. And yet, Bernie Sanders supporters are called "thugs."

What has happened to President Obama in his second term? I cannot wrap my head around some of his proposals. I'm thoroughly disappointed, and yet I believe he was the best chance we had to turn things around for the better. I'm very perplexed!

Thanks for the information but I am disgusted beyond belief that so much has been allowed to go on for too long and probably nothing will come of it! At my age, I'm losing my patience. I fear for the future of my daughter, and the future of all our children and grandchildren. Maybe today I'm just "in a mood," as they say about someone who comes out speaking negatively.

"After all, tomorrow is another day!"
