Anne Graham Lotz, Billy Graham's not-so-famous daughter, runs something called AnGeL Ministries, which is apparently a North Carolina Church.
She says God has gotten so angry at "transgender silliness," that he let 9/11 happen, has let historically bad weather kill people all over the country, and is bring chaos to the land.
It must be true.
North Carolina’s governor ruled that people must use the bathroom corresponding to the gender on their birth certificate – sparking a wave of anger from gay rights groups and boycotts by businesses, entertainers and tourists. But Mrs Graham Lotz said the gay rights protest was an example of the “craziness” which was angering God.
There is silliness, there is craziness, there’s the most illogical rulings.
The one in North Carolina on HB2, which is to protect our children in bathrooms and locker rooms, has become something where the justice department is suing us for something that’s just common sense.
To me it’s evidence that God has backed away.
Our nation seems to be shaking its fist in God’s face, we’re abandoning God as a nation.
What happens then is God abandons us and backs away, he takes his favor and blessing away from us.
I think that’s why God allows bad things to happen. I think that’s why he would allow 9/11 to happen, or the dreadful attack in San Bernardino. To show us we need him.

Surely you've read the old testament. The story of Joshua at Jericho is what got me questioning the whole shebang as a 2nd or 3rd grader at a Protestant private school. I asked too many questions to be a good little sheep for my teachers.
But what about the commandment about killing? So, we're supposed to kill anyone who has a different God?
And, but if God told Josh he wasn't supposed to pillage"this" time, that means he did all other times, so what about the commandment about stealing?
As for the gender listed on birth certificates, are we all supposed to be carrying ours around? When I'm sporting a ball cap, I have a tendency to look an awful lot like Buck from United States of Terra. I could be mistaken for an "icky" trans person. Maybe I should just carry it when I'm unintentionally looking a bit too butch for the Puritans. Fucking loons!

I actually saw Billy Graham, several times
and for added measure, Billy Joe Hargis, waaay more confrontational. Former, during HS, when I was a committed non-believer with many believer friends. Interesting study. I wish I had been older for a better cynical patina.
The Hargis attendance was in a small venue, as a Date with another non-believer. It got scary enough that anything overt would likely go bad, so just an odd date.

Making a living off of supposedly being superior in God's eyes, while all they have done is fleece the rubes. My understanding is that it was Billy Graham who managed to get a lot of the stupidity of the 50s done, such as in God we trust on our money and the changes to the Pledge of Allegiance.

every week in school, (I'm a 5th grade public school teacher). I always leave out the "Under God", when we're saying it. Surprisingly, none of my fifth graders have asked me about it. Perhaps they haven't noticed. I keep waiting for someone to say something so I can do a quick "mini-lesson" on church and state.
