CNN calling PA for Monarchy
TYT just had it.
Meanwhile, Bernie is giving one of this best speeches ever. CNN not running it, instead running empty podiums.
I fucking loathe the MSM so much.
He's laying it down so clearly, with such focus, on the insanity of a for-profit insurance system running our healthcare i.e the ridiculous co-payments, deductibles, etc. Had this conversation with two women working at the local pharmacy today. Both openly received my public criticism of it, agreed and joined in with their own. Everyone gets it.

Bernie's on fire at the podium in WV.
Tackling issue after issue, with fantastic local anecdotes of history too. Stitching together the history of mass protest movements to every progressive value we've ever had.
If anybody missed it you must see the PBS film "Mine Wars" about how badly the Capitalist Economic Elite destroyed generations of WV miners.

Even though I think I saw that when he died Bernie admitted he didn't know much about him. That's ok.
To take that point another way, the amount of artistic outpouring for the Bernie campaign, from artwork to music to videos, etc, towers over the stagnant deathtrap of Hillary's commodified, platitude-drenched superficiality which inspires nothing comparatively.
That means something to me. Because that's a big part of movement-building.

For the record, I will never give up on Bernie until the convention declares someone else the nominee.
I'm still making my monthly donation and gonna bump that up to weekly just so that Bernie can stay out there on the campaign trail. I'm very very grateful to him for standing up for us working people.

In Montgomery County? Too many people in safe jobs
they don't feel the pain of social injustice. Lots of educated working women. Not much poverty there. 62.6% White (47.0% Non-Hispanic White), 18.6% Black, 14.9% Asian. Population 1,030,447 as of 2014. and 57.1% had a bachelor's degree.
So, basically the well to do majority white county and the well to do majority afro-american county both preferred Hillary to a large margin, but I think they did so for different reasons. Baltimore is a mystery to me.

There's no justification for it.
Agree wholeheartedly
According to a recent Gallup poll 47% or respondents were independents/unaffiliated. With only 30% Democrats and 20% Republicans. Why should party members be the only people able to determine who the rest of us have to live with for the next 4 years/

Prince Georges County in MD, a well-to-do
population with 62.7 Afro-Americans, 27.4 % whites and 7.2 % Latino/Hispanics, a county bordering Washington DC to the Northeast, home of the University of Maryland, has 78.3 % to 20.3 % for Hillary with 17.9 percent reporting. That's my county. It's a deep blue county, very conservatively blue apparently.
Well, what is there to say? Nothing much.

Same thing. Bunch of lifelong DC government people.
Even Baltimore City is gone to HRC with 71.7 to 23.9 percent

Yeah me too.
It seems a little extreme. I'm surprised there's such a big gap in percentages.
I agree. Esp since last week in NYC. Margins don't make sense.
Black neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and Hispanic ones in the Bronx, with 70% wins too? I don't believe at this stage she could be winning with the kind of numbers she had when no one had heard of Bernie. Several months down the line now, and even despite all the backlash of a media blackout and Dem stranglehold on him, he is way more popular and stood to win many more votes (especially from young voters) than he apparently has in these tallies.
Same thing in '08 for Obama. There was one district in Harlem in which he got zero votes...until they went back and "found" some.
There's something fishy going on.

I think Sanders didn't convince the afro-american
elderly voters and the women in PG County. I wonder where the younger student voters are. The elderly democratic voters in PG county all take their voting very serious, at least that's what my impression from canvassing was.
https://www.euronews.com/live
Bernie knew the odds before he got into this campaign
his insistence to see this campaign through to the convention speaks to his devotion to an orderly transition from the "third way" Democrats to another "New Deal" Democratic Party. He has done his part; a new flood of young voters will challenge the Establishment Democrats. It is up to us to keep his ideals alive and not vote for the LOTE Dems. It is time for us to be like the Tea Party Republicans and purge the DINOs from the party. It's either that or form a new party and leave a putrid and stinking corpse of the Democratic Party to history.
I am liking the overtures from the Green party.
More and more every day.
With their infrastructure to build upon we could really form a viable challenge for 2018/2020 cycles for many lower offices as well as a run for the WH against Hillary.
That is providing the rank and file members of the Green party don't see it as a hostile takeover. I would much rather try to build a new party and form a coalition with them than try to fight against them for control of theirs.
"I used to vote Republican & Democrat, I also used to shit my pants. Eventually I got smart enough to stop doing both things." -Me

I still keep wondering
if Trump and the Clintons are somehow colluding.
Beware the bullshit factories.
Trump and Clinton Colluding
I was thinking the same thing. He's playing the scary foil to her grownup competence. Hill and Bill went to his wedding and Trump and Bill are golf buddies.
Even if they were - I don't think he can be horrible enough
to lose to Hillary. I don't know what he could say that he hasn't said...
I'm not wondering at all.
Chelsea and Ivanka ae BFF's.
I have wondered if Trump, the Clintons, and the media have not set up this whole 1% Kabuki theater:
Trump ADMITS that he has been play-acting his whole campaign. Perhaps they agreed he would play the fascist boo-man to scare everyone into voting for HRC and then being relieved we saved the country from descent into the dark ages.
November 9 Chelsea & Ivanka will have lunch somewhere nice, they will split the bill, and the rest of will pay the price.
The marriage between capitalism and democracy is over. –Slavoj Zizek
I'll believe that til the day I die
I don't know about "the media" planning in advance, but you can bet Camp BillnHill and The Donald enjoyed the hell out of cooking the whole thing up. IMO, Trump gave it away early on when he talked about "I gave her money for...". You wonder if he just didn't take it all that seriously at first, and it's about now that he's wondering what the hell he's gotten himself into. Who knew his idiocy was going to be popular?
And of course, nobody counted on Sanders, this whole thing was going to be over by freaking March, remember?
The whole thing is so contrived at this point, I don't even know why we're putting up with it. It's completely clear that thousands of voters are being denied their vote. These conventions--both of them--are liable to be uglier than anybody thinks, the way the electorate is being treated thus far--you hear story after story of cheating and malfeasance and FSM-knows what else--and nobody in a position to do anything about it to fix it will do so. It's blatant disregard and people are pissed!
Well...he is the absolute perfect foil for how higly unlikable
she is.
The two most unlikable candidates in the history of presidential campaigning. What a sad, pathetic joke. I still find it so fucking surreal. Everyone is reaching for Idiocracy as a satirical comparison. It's frightening. I'm angry. These two represent the worst of the worst decade (the 80's), in everything it stood for: brash vulture capitalism, gaudy, horrible, cheeseball style, ruthless individualism, artistic and creative vapidity, Worship of the Rich.
Is this really the best we could do?, future historians will constantly perplex over.
I thought I would leave the country after Bush 2004. I'm glad I stayed, especially to participate in OWS and have that epiphany change my life.
This may be that time for real.

Sorry I'll try not to wonder out loud
They have been friends in the past and I'm not sure Trump really wants to be President.
Beware the bullshit factories.
Maybe they made a little deal
Trump blows up the Republican party and paves the way for Hillary and gets rewarded somehow. Lots of pictures of them together
Beware the bullshit factories.
On reflection lately,
I really don't think anybody expected him to be so completely popular. At this point, I don't know what he could do to blow it up. The more obnoxious he gets, the more people on the right slurp it up. With that in mind, yes, I kinda get the vibe off him lately of "WTF did I get myself into?" What he had to say about Sanders blew my mind earlier. To begin with, he's absolutely right...
I think he is hoping to split the Dems.
Problem for him is if he did run independent, particularly if one of the other RWNJ's run independently as well then Sanders could indeed win with both parties having a divided vote.
I think Sanders would pick up a LOT of the Independents.
I doubt he could do so anyway though even if he would. It might be too late for him to get onto many states ballots.
"I used to vote Republican & Democrat, I also used to shit my pants. Eventually I got smart enough to stop doing both things." -Me
It's too late for Bernie to run without affiliation to a party
that is already on the ballot. Maybe he can make a coalition deal with the Greens and other small parties so that he gets on every ballot.
Beware the bullshit factories.
Unfortunately the Greens are only on the ballot in about 20
or so states I think.
I do know they are working to increase that number but not sure to what level or how much success they are having.
That is one of the things a Sanders merger could help them achieve. We have the numbers and drive in all 50 states to get them on the ballot.

Prompted by what, and in what context was it said? (I literally can not stand to listen to a word from that asshole - thanks Alphalop!)
I've been thinking this for months. The two outsider campaigns vs. the two insider campaigns.
In that scenario I can't see how Bernie doesn't win a massive landslide.

Different styles of speaking, but the same result:
He speaks like an 8th grade neanderthal on the playground whose Daddy's riches are there to pick up after his insufferable bloviating and douchebaggery. Every thing is a complete contradictory lie from what he said one minute ago.
She is like a cheap and hollow Hallmark card, with predictable pandering cheap commercial art on the cover, corny swirling script lettering and a gag-fest of empty, meaningless platitudes that say absolutely nothing.
As Cenk said on TYT tonight in what was so indicative of her emptiness and cold calculation, Hillary when asked couldn't even pick a favorite ice cream flavor, because she didn't want to lose the votes of chocolate lovers for instance. Speaking of her and food to illustrate her sheer, transparent phoniness, I think John Oliver had a clip of her eating a hot dog in Iowa. With it just entering her mouth and barely having taken a bite into it she was compelled to immediately say how good it was.
Looking for Kurt, as usual in times like these, to help put things in perspective about the sorry state of the "damned" human race, as Mark Twain put it.
Here we go, an explanation of Vonnegut's "Wampeters, Foma & Granfalloons":
