JFK, Nixon and Trump vs. The Invisible Hand
Not that it matters to anybody, not even myself, but I mistook the Adventures of Donnie Fascist Pig Trump. I based my dismissal of the danger of Trump on the true life(?) stories of Jack Kennedy and Dick Nixon. Both were removed from office by sinister manipulation of reality. Jack was taken down by rifle fire and a bullshit story. Tricky Dick took it on the lamb after being framed for one of the few evil things that he did not actually do. And JFK got killed by a magic bullet that defied the laws of physics.
Based on this cynical wisdom, I watched Donnie Blowhard do his act for the first 12 months of his second term as he did his usual grifter routine. And then at the end of February this year, he just decided that starting a war was the thing to do.
As the goofy lies have piled up for these the ensuing three months, I have expected the Brass Hats and the Big Money Folks to slap him down as he strangles the global economy for no coherent reason.
Maybe the Brass Hats have become morons, too. The one story seeping out of the White House cutting the other way has the Biggest Dude in the Military refusing to let Mr. Blowhard have access to the nuclear codes. Twice. Nice story if true.
But if they were going to slap him down like JFK or Tricky Dick, they would have done it when the Hormuz situation exploded.
One possible explanation is that the Zionist Billionaires have bought the whole shebang. Maybe those folks are dumb bunnies as well as filthy rich.
I dunno. It makes no sense from any perspective. The American Experiment fails, demonstrating the perversity of democracy.

He should never be forgiven for what he did to Jerry Voorhis in the 1946 House race. And in his case he knew that he was lying his ass off.
Nixon deserved far worse than he got
but Watergate was a double cross. My guess as to why he got the boot is that he and Kissinger got too big for their britches with shit like visiting China.
I had been a hippie era Nixon Hater and an avid follower of the Watergate Affair. But I wised up when I found out about Bob Woodward's bio -- Naval Spook, briefing the White House on a daily basis. At the end of his hitch, he applied to and was accepted by Harvard Law School. But the Sundance Kid declined Harvard to go to work as a cub reporter for the Washington Post. Unfortunately, Woodward could not cut the mustard as a writer. So the Post farmed him out to a suburban broadsheet so he could learn how to write a simple lead.

I believe what you're missing is:
A) The only reason they're falling on The Shamshir is because the Likuds did it first - and they managed to convince DJ Trump* that Iran was to blame for the repeated threats his own life.
B) Speaking of, they've ALREADY tried to send him the way of Kennedy. Multiple times, it would seem.
C) This war has been the NeoCon Holy Grail for DECADES.
D) They're in full Anchovy-Mode now: Neo-Israel's become (or at least is perceived to have become) the keystone of The Empire, especially now that their attempted Ukraine-stunt has so clearly become a stunt of the Shark-Jumping variety. They've been trying to use this poor bastard as a scapegoat since even before he was elected the first time around, but the "economy-strangling" is ultimately THEIR desperate idea.
E) Get rid of Trump, and they'll have VANCE, the known and consistent foreign-policy heretic, to deal with; they don't seem to have a script for what to do about him.
