It's been 4 days of cool temps, gusting winds, and a lot of rain this week. But the storm has passed and sunny skies and warm temps are in the forecast for this weekend and the rest of next week.
As promised in last weeks edition of FNP, here are some of the sea and shore birds I saw while I was at La Jolla Cove 2 weeks ago.

Yesterday the Kereru paid a visit to imbibe Puriri seeds. They sometimes get very drunk on them, and lose navigational skills.
In 3 days I will have the great pleasure of my sister and brother's company.

What a pretty looking bird. When I was growing up we had Pyracantha plants in our yard. The birds would eat the berries and get drunk and also lose their navigational skills. Have fun with your brother and sister.
