As the Trump Phenomenon assumes Shock and Awe Mode

Ok, Trump Derangement Syndrome Sufferers -- this ain't the "He's gunnas." It's now the full monte of
"Holy Shit! He done it!"

Are we shocked? Awed? That is up to us.

Personally, I doubt that he dreams up any of these crazy assertions of lethal force, but he sure as hell owns it all as of now.

I oppose shooting people dead, as a matter of moral principle. Duh.

I oppose kidnapping. Call me a stickler.

Resign Now!

for this Righteous Rant. It's hard to know what he could do now to get impeached or removed by the 25th Amendment or whatever that he hasn't already done. I mean, if Congress hasn't removed him now after he's slaughtered children, kidnapped a president, taken over a country and bombed others, what exactly would he have to do that would cause the Congress to remove him? On the other hand, presidents Bush, Obama, and Biden did most of those things also. So I guess we have no laws or standards. So we're living in a dictatorship.

@Linda Wood
.
As our right to protest is being erased,
the tyrannical tactics are escalating.
Trump is only in it for self aggrandizement.
He couldn't care less if his new Stazi force
kills a few folks. Collateral damage.

Unfortunately, the balance of power is broken
by an ineffective congress and a compliant judiciary.

But the prison system is doing great.

@Linda Wood
or perhaps had never been informed about previous occupants of the WH efforts deporting “illegal immigrants”. Trump has a long way to go to match Obama’s deported tally as well as deaths by ICE.

On the other hand, presidents Bush, Obama, and Biden did most of those things also. So I guess we have no laws or standards. So we're living in a dictatorship.

All of our presidents from Eisenhower to Trump seemed to answer a higher powers, and obediently followed a course set by their overseers.

Entrepreneurs using politics for personal profit and aggrandizement -- all owned by the Donors.

It is our culture that is corrupt. That is just how it has played out, as Money recovered from the great exception known as The New Deal.

Baby Boomers saw and played the major role in changing the culture in many significant ways. We are probably too old and infirm to repeat, but we can do our part.

Peace Culture!!! Starting with asking Trump to resign because he is a fraud. Of course he will react with anger and force of some kind. That's when our King/Ghandi strategy of non-violent non-cooperation kicks in. We give Americans the choice of mafia law or peace.

mafia law as they know they can game the system
to increase their profits. If they have to give token
cuts to the mafia, that is just the cost of doing business.
They will then pass the costs down to the masses.
Win-win. Except for us. Lose-lose.

@QMS We write off everybody who considers themselves capitalists. They are pretty much the enemy in the coming struggle over what kind of future we will share. The smart money is on them. I'm playing a long shot.

It has to start somehow . . . .

My career as a labor agitator hammered home to me the difference between words and deeds. It is easy to say so and so really sucks. It is much. much harder to do something effective about ol' so and so.

My immodest proposal posted last May:

The original Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776 -- its 250th anniversary takes place on July 4, 2026. Virtually nobody in the country is satisfied with our society, but we are mainly at each others' throats about what is wrong or how to address it.

My own dissatisfaction is mainly about the absurdity of our politics. The two parties are in a non-stop booger flicking contest about who is more corrupt, trying to put each other in jail as they agree on most major issues. Both parties favored the policy set during Obama's term that led to sending humongous amounts of weaponry to Ukraine. Both parties are on board with Isreal's war on the people of Gaza. Both parties oppose Medicare for All.

The Democrats say they are fighting Trump as they shadowbox for the cameras putting out the constant message that they do not like what Trump is doing. Since they control neither House of Congress, there is nothing they can do about His Orangeness other than fuss and fume about how they are fighting against him with the full measure of fussing and fuming.

Speaking of Congress and the Federal Government, I just looked up how much it costs to influence Congress and the Executive Branch. Wiki on total campaign expenditures. From the year 1998 through 2022, total costs came to $81.9 Billion.

Politicians have to raise that kind of money to get elected. That is why nothing ever changes in the Federal Government, other than individuals getting fired.

We the people can resist. We know we are getting conned by the two party system which is for sale to the highest bidder. This con job keeps us separated into rival cults of personality.
We need to reunite as a society.

We need a new set of self evident truths for our disintegrating society.

I suggest that there be a March on Washington on July 4,2026 to present the Declaration of Interdependence to the White House and the Congress and the Supreme Court.

Text to be developed. Unity, Peace and Civil Liberty plus what else?

I have two strident thoughts:

1. Yammering about how absurdly rotten is Donald Trump is counter-productive, playing into his act which is provoking "liberals" into saying whacky things that really piss off his constituency of dimwits.

2. Criticize the deed rather than the dude.

It does not matter that Obama or Biden did the same deeds. They both worked for the same donor class as Trump. It is the deed that we oppose, not the label.

The main strategy of the ruling class is to get us to fucus on personalities.

See you all in DC come July.

Well, in spirit.

@fire with fire I learned as a wannabe comedian -- never blame the audience. It'll be a lonely demo in DC come July.
