Afternoon folks!
It's a pretty good blues week, this week. Starting off we've got a compilation of a couple of 60's and early 70's albums (with bonus material) from Chicago blues slide guitar player J.B. Hutto, followed by an album from a guitarist from Detroit, Johnnie Bassett. After that there's an album of New Orleans blues and barrelhouse piano from Champion Jack Dupree very late in his career. Then it's on to a fine blues-rock album from Rory Gallagher and we finish up with an album from another insanely accomplished guitarist, Danny Gatton.
Enjoy the tunes and have a great weekend!
Here 'tis:
J.B. Hutto ~ Stompin' At Mother Blues
Johnnie Bassett & The Blues Insurgents ~ Cadillac Blues
Champion Jack Dupree ~ Forever And Ever

danny was one of my favorite musicians, i'll eventually get around to posting more of his stuff.
glad you're enjoying the tunes, have a great weekend!
Great sounds
Hey Joe,
Great Danny Gatton and Rory Gallagher albums, and the J.B. Hutto was awesome too.
Last week, the Albert King and Hip Linkchain were also outstanding. White boys from suburbia with names like Kent and Kyle didn't stand a chance against these cool cats like Hip Linkchain. Thanks for the great sounds.

you really have to be a talented artist to be able to compete with some of the old blues guys, their music was simple in some ways but effective in ways that really matter.
