...is a reference to the thaw or attempts to normalize relations with North Korea. The April 1, 2018 joint North South arts performance in Pyongyang was referred to as "Spring is coming." This overture by former president Moon Jae-in led directly to the Trump-Kim Jong-un summits.

The related political policy in South Korea is referred to as the Sunshine Policy. Former President Kim Dae-jung was awarded the Nobel Prize for his peace overtures toward North Korea, which included a summit in 2000 with Kim Jong-il. Kim DJ is credited with initiating the policy. Before he was elected president, there had been assassination attempts on Kim DJs life, imprisonment and a death sentence, which he narrowly escaped through US intervention. These were his bona fides as a political leader.

Likewise, there has been at least one assassination attempt against current democratic opposition leader Lee Jae-myung, who inherits the political legacy of Kim DJ. The Yoon reactionary far right political machine has been trying to put him in prison for years. There are pending criminal cases against him, poorly fabricated affairs, constructed after literally hundreds of search warrants, and interviews of hundreds of witnesses, alteration of evidence, coerced testimony and labored legal arguments.

Currently, instead of hope in the spring's arrival, there is apprehension and great fear in South Korea among the majority of people. The inexplicable delay in the judgement of impeachment pending on suspended president Yoon Seok-yeol is the main reason. It seems as if the overwhelming evidence that Yoon and a cabal of generals sought to overthrow the Republic of Korea isn't enough. Yoon initiated a military led coup designed to lead to dictatorship; to then purge, torture and execute members of the National Assembly opposition, the press, civic society, and unions nationwide. Isn't this enough to prompt the Constitutional Court to a sense of urgency?

I saw a video of the militant mob of Yoon supporters outside the barricades around the courthouse, with a large banner prominently featured, and no doubt visible to the CC justices saying, "Don't make good people engage in bloody revolution." In other words restore Yoon to power or else. This is clearly a continuation of the insurrection encouraged by Yoon and the PPP's national assembly members. The common belief is that the CC or at least a few justices on the right, are trying to delay their decision, until the timing of the next presidential election is delayed long enough to ensure Lee Jae-myung's next hearing will result in a conviction barring him from public office.

Incident to this, the MBC news network, has published several stories based on anonymous reports from primary sources. In one, Kim Gon-hee is reported to have complained to the presidential security service when Yoon was arrested on Jan. 15, "why are you guards armed, aren't you going to oppose this? (The leader of the security service was fired for failure to forcibly oppose the police). She also said, "If I had a gun, I would shoot Lee Jae-myung, and kill myself."

In another disclosure, someone leaked phone records that appeared to show that Yoon had been in contact with Lee Man-hee, the leader of the Sincheonji cult. This is significant because Lee was responsible for the spread of covid in South Korea. Also, the assassin who attempted to kill Lee Jae-myung with a knife, appears to be connected to the religious cult.

The third most alarming MBC report just out comes from anonymous military sources who reported conversations in the clear during provocative military exercises in June, July, August and November of last year associated with large scale live fire military drills near the Northern Limit Line with North Korea and the DMZ between North and South Korea designed to provoke a military response from North Korea:

Some pundits believe the US is privy to everything happening at the CC through eavesdropping technology. If they are playing a role in these events, and it appears they may be, (see all the American flags there, and PPP leadership with US ties encouraging this activity) they need to understand that Yoon is a threat to world peace and push him out expeditiously. Publications in the US suggesting or explicitly stating Lee Jae-myung is anti-American are simply false. A balanced and stable US foreign policy in northeast Asia is not possible without restoration of constitutional government in South Korea.
