Trump makes corruption great again: part 2

This actually happened several days ago, but I didn't notice it until now.

After sundown Friday, a new crack appeared in the wall of America’s rule of law. A wall that protected us for two and a half centuries, but that’s showing signs of strain. It is axiomatic that corrupt governments eliminate those responsible for policing corruption. The Friday night massacre of over a dozen inspectors general across the executive branch lays the groundwork for taking over that government from within. The job of an agency or department’s Inspector General is to independently root out corruption, fraud, and abuse in the executive branch and report on such to the legislative branch. They are embedded within these agencies to accomplish this task.

This is a modern adaptation to achieving the checks and balances the Framers of our Constitution intended when they created the federal government. But if the designated watchers aren’t watching, because they’ve been purged by the very abuse of power they were installed to prevent, then the way is open for more abuse and corruption to flow. Absent independent institutional whistleblowers, a significant check on power is now missing.

Since few here actually read what I posted the first time, I'm going to summarize Trump's executive orders so far:
1. Trump fired most of the inspector generals.
2. Trump revoked Biden's rules against accepting gifts from lobbyists
3. Trump revoked Biden's rule against the "revolving door"
4. Trump replaced civil service classification with political appointees.
5. Trump revoked Biden's order that would allow Medicare to negotiate lower prices with Big Pharma.

The Trump Administration has an unprecedented 13 billionaires in it. That alone makes it ridiculous to give him the benefit of the doubt. These are the very same people that have twisted our government and society to what it is. These are the people that want us fighting each other, because they benefit the most from things not changing. But that's my values.

The two parties simply choose different approaches in their opposition to democracy. If you hope to run outside of the two-party system, the Democrats will simply run a different set of tactics to destroy you.

What was the George Carlin line? "They'll get it all -- they'll get it all from you." Why do you think they even bother with a two-party system? Life would be so much simpler if the consensus oligarchy could simply ratify its thefts without bothering to ask the public what it wants. My answer is that the crushing of dissent requires the appearance of democracy, so the two parties must put up facades of "opposition" from time to time.

The ruling classes need an extra party to make the rest of us feel as if we participate in democracy. That's what the Democrats are for. They make the US more durable than the Soviet Union was.

Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.
