Another hurricane approaching the panhandle after Helene passed through Georgia and the east coast regions last week. My brother lives in Columbia County S.C. and I haven't heard from him. I'm sure he and family are ok because he is very resourceful and generally prepared. I hoping the power and cel service is impacted and he is incommunicado. But it's been a long time to be out of phone service.
I will keep trying though.
Hurricane Milton is still tracking through Florida and out to sea, but not before giving a big damaging punch to the middle of the panhandle. They are calling for a new storm category 6 designation to show the intensity of Milton.
Hopefully it won't turn north and ravage the Carolinas again.
That's all I got for the morning till I hear from my brother.

And now, here we are.

I'll be voting for Stein. At the rate disasters are happening, and being carefully ignored by the current administration as they focus all their attention on starting wars with other nuclear powers, there is a growing chance that she will lose this election. And I have to say that that will be fine with me. At least Trump realizes, on some level, that global thermonuclear war would be bad for the hotel business...

And it’s proven to be true. Shitlibs were outraged when anyone said that Biden had a bad debate performance and they said that he just had a cold. Outraged when he was being forced out, outraged when it happened because he has been the best president of their lifetime….only to get swept up in the joyous propaganda aimed at making people fall in love with the Kam idiot. But now she has picked her own insurance policy with Walz who became friends with school shooters. WTF?! Who says that?

I haven’t seen one shitlib saying that they don’t understand what the F she says. The power of propaganda and media getting people to believe what isn’t real.

Advice from an older relative the first time I was on the wait and wonder team - Stop Fretting, get busy doing all your work for the next few days, so if necessary you have the time to devote to helping. If your not needed to help you will have a few days free of daily chores.

I hope you receive some kind of communication soon.

This is now the 4th strongest hurricane ever recorded by pressure on this side of the world. The eye is TINY at nearly 3.8 miles wide. This hurricane is nearing the mathematical limit of what Earth's atmosphere over this ocean water can produce.

And very dangerous. Good luck, Floridians!

the roads are jammed, can't fly out, wouldn't take a boat out in these conditions, no hills to climb ..
