I'm wondering how Ryan Routh knew Trump was going to be at the golf course that day and time.
Secret Service claims Trump was not scheduled to golf that day and were caught by surprise of his golf outing.
So, was Routh tipped off?
More questions than answers.
The girls on The View were marveling at a poll of American thoughts on political violence finding the majority found it unacceptable.
A majority? Hmm.
Maybe if we took a poll of how many want to string up all the bureaucrats from lampposts just to give the first poll a metric judge by?
If just 1% want to string them up, that's believable with a half point + or -. If 5% poll for it, the first poll is in trouble.
If 10 % are for it, the bureaucrats are in trouble.
Anyway, if I were Trump I'd eliminate that 6th hole and plow on to the seventh⁸.
It is his golf course afterall.

Looks like there is an Israeli pager company that should probably not be in business much longer. 8 dead, 2000+ injured in Lebanon. The explosions occurred with little to no warning, and appear to have been much more violent than a "normal" lithium battery explosion- not to mention having 2000+ of them detonate essentially all at once. So, they were very probably packed with some energetic explosive.
If this is all true, it should unquestionably constitute an act of the T word, in any sort of a sane world. But, since Israel is alleged to have done this, it can't be referred to as "terrorism". Right? That would be antisemitic.

that mentioned this occurrence, but gave no indication that it was of such a magnitude or scope. This is a definite global threat because, as earthling1 noted, they can do phones too. That means that pagers and phones except from certified trusted sources will be to be inspected by some trusted body, except that no such body exists.

Well, for what it is worth,
I have personally stripped down my iPhone15 to its bare bones (including X-rays, and as part of a work-related research project), and I can state with reasonable certainty that at least that one example of that one phone model does not contain any explosives.
Explosives detection can be done with readily available scanners: that was developed for the TSA at the dawn of their existence, and can be used to scan pallet-sized loads relatively easily. At this point, I'm looking for country-of-origin information for several instruments that I use in my daily work, and I'll have them apart on the bench soon.
The temptation for nation-states to co-opt companies in their territories has now proven to be irresistible... We live in increasingly dangerous times, and our "betters" would appear to have completely lost the plot.

Apparently, at least one of the pagers in question was manufactured by Gold Apollo in Taiwan. The AP-900 is a very old (1990s) design, powered by simple replaceable AAA batteries. That makes the lithium-ion-thermal-runaway explanation less likely.

The question now becomes: was it the pager, or was it the batteries themselves that were doctored? This is a developing situation, and there will be more to come- undoubtedly, a *lot* more.

Incredibly, this story stinks even more than the Penn Close Call stank. Would-be assassins flying drones and setting up clean shots for their scoped rifles, thwarted mainly through happenstance -- the only certainty is that we live in a banana republic.

Sampling the flavors of bullshit on cable news, I watched a gaggle of Fox yammer-heads dissing the Secret Service account of there being nothing about the golf game on the "official" schedule. According to these Fox voices, it is supposedly common knowledge that Trump plays a round of golf there every Sunday.
Like every other smelly detail coming from these two unsuccessful attempts to rid the world of The Donald, this explanation only raises more smelly questions about these two attempted murders. Why does the Secret Service bring up the topic of the schedule? To what purpose? Ass covering?

One of the "telegram" headlines indicated that the Rus had "liberated" Ukrainsk a villiage, town or city that has been being contested for a while according to the military summary channel. I searched Ukrainsk using Yandex and then translated a promising looking article in English and found that:

Well, my office is adjacent to a community garden. The master Gardeners grow a few vegetables, and numerous varieties of flowering plants. They take pride in not using any poisons that will harm butterflies. However, they use Round Up to kill weeds in the garden's parameters.
So, a mature woman is at the garden, staring at a sign and some flowers. She appears to be talking to herself, painting the decorative sign directing you around the garden. She was wearing green and yellow floral patterned coveralls with a royal blue long sleeved sweater top. It is 96 degrees. Sunny, humid. I walked past her and she told me was feeling radiant, and did I? I answered, "Well, something similar to that."
I think Round Up does something to the brain.
I won't be buying a pager any time soon.
We may never never know if Routh is a CIA asset. I expect him to be Epsteined.

A classic situation I have very personal/professional experience is when a drug mule gets arrested, drugs get confiscated.
