OT WED 24 APR 24 ~ Control
The control of information is something the elite always does, particularly in a despotic form of government. Information, knowledge, is power. If you can control information, you can control people.
-- Tom Clancy
A new form of law fare is gaining traction in administrative circles. This technique was
jump started by the "Patriot Act" AKA the 'we are all terrorists now' act. Conceivably
this was preceded by Clinton's Crime Bill AKA "we are all criminals" act.
More recently, the courts and legislators have fine-tuned the control process by
whittling down civil rights and freedoms with warrantless spying, the FISA fiasco
AKA "we are all spies now" act; outlawing freedom of assembly; various NSA and
'intelligence' agencies-style black ops; and globalist dampers shown by the likes
of IMF, WHO, NATO, etc.
The intended outcome of these rules is to control our options in opposing the
increasing grips of elitist power. Ignoring their power grabs have serious
consequences, as the Covid experiment has proven.
What is a freedom loving person to do? Returning to the ideals of limited
government which only derives their authority by the will of the people.
This may be a good direction to focus on.
Just a few ideas to spark discussion. Opening it up to whatever is
important to you, as this is the way of the open thread.

We are a people
that accept paying 10x, 15x what other countries pay for life saving drugs. We have a health insurance system that profits for denial of valid claims. We have a system of everything from Ibuprofen to MRI's having incredible markups and healthcare is rationed by ability to pay. This system is based on the same business model, even though non profit, as outlined in the tax code with the stipulation that profits be dealt with differently than for profit businesses. We know this, but can't seem to change it.
What I'm saying is....we have plenty of information. Even the lack of it informs us, dogs that don't bark, the pause, then scramble that happens while our leaders scheme their responses to crisis. I don't know if we are powerless, neutered, or if we have any path to change but we're getting better at smelling bullshit day by day.

Excellent conversation...

The entire conversation is worth while too. (80 min)
Y'all have a good day. Caging tomatoes this AM, and air layering chestnuts later. Always something.
Have a good day and thanks for the OT!

Good morning QMS. Thanks for the OT. That is a great mask
and reminds me a lot of some of the Hopi masks. You suggest:
I'd like to remind everybody that the above enunciates the absolute test of legitimacy, only such governments as govern by and according to the will of the people are legitimate. Since we are never meaningfully consulted on anything, and our wishes, when we express them are consistently ignored, our government is illegitimate. Accordingly we need, if only for the record, to express this early and often. Simply periodically publicly declare that "I don't consent to this government" or this war, or this law or regulation, etc.
Remember always:

One of the only things
that L. Ron Hubbard ever wrote that was actually true, and not simply the lunatic ravings of an incredibly bad science fiction author who was also a pretty good grifter, was this:
Well, there you go. It works for governments and politicians, as well.
He also said:
And to think that people still believe in his made-up "religion", and give it bucketloads of money... He told the world exactly what he was doing. Exactly! Sigh...
In that respect, our government, politicians, and their presstitutes are simply cut from the same cloth. They'll happily lie about everything, up to and including whether the sun will rise tomorrow. And we will continue to uncritically give them bucketloads of money. Being controlled by their lies just comes along for free.
Sigh.
Twice bitten, permanently shy.

money makers indeed
I received mail from Biden yesterday.
With that money, he would protect Roe v. Wade, guarantee inclusiveness, and forgive student loan debt.
