The Hill of Slane sits in sight of three ancient mounds know as the Bru'na Boinne, Newgrange, Knowth, and Dowth. These burial, ceremonial, and astronomic mounds are surrounded by large carved boulders. Also in sight, not far in the distance, is the Hill of Tara where the kings of Ireland were once crowned. Hill of Slane is traditionally regarded as the location where St Patrick lit the first Pascal Fire in 433 AD in defiance of pagan King Laoighre, the King of Tara. Legend has it Patrick's large fire on the Hill of Slane symbolized the beginning of Christianity and the end of paganism in Ireland.
The serpent has represented evil since the story of Eve and Adam. The snake or serpent story of St. Patrick has nothing to do with snakes, but represents the conversion of the pagans.
Banishes the Snakes from Ireland
One of the most famous legends Saint Patrick is associated with his supposed banishing of all snakes from Ireland. According to the story, Patrick drove snakes into the sea after they attacked him during a 40-day fast that he was undertaking on top of a hill.
However, post-glacial Ireland never had snakes. Water has surrounded Ireland since the end of the last glacial period, preventing snakes from slithering over; before that, it was blanketed in ice and too chilly for the cold-blooded creatures.
The legend of Saint Patrick and the snakes is rather an allegory for his eradication of Pagan ideology. When Patrick drives the snakes out of Ireland, it is symbolically saying that he cast out the old religion and brought in a new one.

So today on St Patrick's Day, I thought it might be fun to discuss the banishment of the serpents (evils) which are so pervasive in western culture today.

Mercola influenced me and my diet...
Those who use fat for fuel create glucose from proteins gluconeogenisis. Cortisol may be involved as Dr Mercola suggests.
I like his idea that you must listen to your body to make health decisions. I think he is basically recommending high fiber (which are mainly carbs) to feed your gut biome. Whole unprocessed foods are what he is recommending. That's also Lustig's recommendation.
I continue to think when we eat is as important as what we eat.

Now, I want to share my true story about my brush with a psychic.

Let me defend ozempic
As a type 2 ozempic I began to take ozempic. Ozempic was originally developed to help regulate blood sugar levels in Type 2 diabetics by helping pancreas produce more insulin. At much higher dosages it was found to reduce weight by basically slowing digestion. It increases the levels of incretins – a hormone – which helps your body to produce more insulin when needed.
It helped me a lot. My average blood sugar levels dropped 40 points and had no sudden and rapid spikes. Then I could not get it refilled as certain celebrities caused a run on the drug for weight loss. And of course online doctors suddenly appeared to write prescriptions and then even fake pills appeared.
While I was on ozempic (again the much lower dosages compared for weight loss) it lowered insulin injections amounts. You know, a good thing.
I have no idea of whether ozempic will cause substantial negative symptoms for weight loss, but I do know the mania against it removes it as a viable aid to type 2 diabetics.
Over prescription is the problem...
giving it for life to over weight kids is a terrible mistake to my mind. Taking it away from people who are benefiting is also a bad idea. Not educating people about alternatives and side effects is also a problem. From the link...The answer is fasting...But the fact that fasting reverses type 2 diabetes has been known for close to 100 years!

I just watched the Glenn Greenwald video.
In that video, an interviewee on Morning Joe, Johnathan Greenblatt, made the complaint Tik Tok allowed too much anti-Semitism AND anti-Zionism from young people, making the distinction they are NOT the same thing.
He needs to go to some universities and mansplain the difference to their presidents, and go around the 3 branches of government. Criticizing the Zionist policies of the Israeli government, and calling out its' genocide of Palestinians, is not, and never was, anti-Semitic.
