Open Thread 22 NOV 23 ~ pre-turkey day
Prepping for a small gathering tomorrow. A cooking adventure ultimato. Trying to figure out
if I want to make traditional cajun dirty rice or another southern staple: cornbread dressing.
Suppose could just do both, but that may be a bit much.
Will spatchcock the turkey, so dressings will be on the side. The gals are doing the veggies
and the table is only so big (like the stomachs). I do so love to make a skillet cornbread.
And I may be the only yankee around that craves white rice. So there is that to consider.
Irregardless of culinary chores, hope your preps are satisfactory and company heart filling!
