Good morning Cap'n Q. I lied, I am here, for a bit.
got up to 106 here yesterday; we seem to be consistently 10 degrees above weather service projection. Today shuld be "88" meaning that it will be 98 here, so we're gonna let the cross bay commute die down a bit and then head on over to the coast. There's a small working harbor by Half Moon Bay with a little seafood shack right on the water over there that we like, so we'll run over for lunch and then walk some of the coastal/shoreline trail a bit south of there to work it off.
Glad you have a 'puter again, sorry about the back, though. Backs are a horror, you go along minding your own business and then the damn thing goes out on you with no warning.

Good morning, el, et al!
A lawyer pal flew out to Florida for 3 days to hang out with the fun women in her family. I chatted with her while she was waiting to board for the flight back to Houston. She said she had made the decision to do exactly what I am doing, which is to take on no new cases, finish up all remaining cases, then work from home doing deeds and wills.
I have 2 of my 5 remaining open cases set for final hearing this month, and may be able to slip in the final 3, as well. I will work at the office today destroying all case file contents of cases five years old or older. I will have a crew move office furniture in the next 2 weeks. The city will buy whatever furniture I leave behind.
The surveyors came and did their thing, so the title company can do theirs soon. The title search should be simple. The property has changed ownership 4 times in 100 years since the original plat.
Enjoy an afternoon on the coast. Sounds like a fun way to avoid the extreme heat! Thanks for filling in with the OT, friend!

Yeah, Spain tops Needles in my book except for access to
my medical provider, though It's a serious drive from Needles to anywhere I might find what I need - no Kaiser on the central coast, Barstow is out, maybe Bakersfield or Palm Springs.
