OK, y'all stop giggling. There is or was a National Kindness Day, now seemingly subsumed within World Kindness Day. Its Objective (Ahem) is, in part:
World Kindness Day is to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness for good which binds us. Kindness is a fundamental part of the human condition which bridges the divides of race, religion, politics, gender and location.
I said to stop giggling, dammit! This is serious business. Well, it could be, at any rate, probably should be. We do need at least an awareness day to distract us from the constant wars, empire building, and warmongering. "Peace, Bro", heh.

Fantasia is awesome. It was a thing in early 70's to drop acid and go watch it. There was a neat old theater in Santa Ana, can't remember if it was a Fox or not... It had probably a Altec/Lansing Voice of the Theater P.A., big screen. And midnight Fantasia showings Friday and Saturday nights, so it didn't matter which night you were dropping. And they played it twice back to back. You could sit through two in a row if you wanted. It was a dollar or two. None of us had chairs like that at home anyway... or a snack bar. A bunch of our gang must have gone a dozen times. A couple times we went to it after we left Disneyland, drive straight there fryin' all the way... for a nice sit down outro... and so
that is how I got like this...
Leon Russell is favorite too. Mothers Day, 1973, Long Beach Arena. Leon and the Shelter People. OMG, blew my mind how great he was. As if Jose Feliciano running around the stage with a Strat playing Purple Haze hadn't done enough damage already! Then when you find out all the music Leon was on, WOW! That whole Concert for Bangladesh performance is incredible and a great example. What talent, what a pro, what an artist, what a voice.
There was seemingly getting traction a movement in socal, lots of bumper stickers etc., "Practice random acts of Kindness". Did that get bullied out of existence? Obviously not a thing in world politics and foreign relations.

as a senior in High School at a classic art deco theater.
The "random acts of kindness" bumper ticker was all over ca, SoCal, Bay Area, Mendo, and then faded away except where still present on various old beaters, as often as not Volvos.

We have a young local artist
producing painted smooth stones with the logo "Be Kind" which are
scattered all about the place, sometimes in unexpected locations.
She also does simple painted wood scraps with the 'be kind' logo
which similarily expose those *otherwise involved* with her simple message.
I always smile inside when seeing these humble reminders. It does not hurt
to feel joy. This kid has it right. Share and care. Does a world of good!

I do not think kindness is supposed to extend to numerous opposing attorneys. They are no good f'ers.

I attended a continuing legal education course
a few weeks ago. It was entitled, "The Scourge of Bullying in the Legal Profession".
Some attorneys use bullying as a way to market themselves.
Usually, it is coming from young attorneys, but some oldsters are using the tactic to make themselves seem like real hipsters.
The profession has degraded enormously in the past 40 years.
I wish I had a good copy of Fantasia.
