Yesterday I met a woman who is participating in the Democracy Spring protest in Washington DC.
They are giving voice to the corruption of money in our political system.
It was the first I've heard of this group. Has anyone else been following it?
I hear Cenk Uygur of the Young Turks is planning to be there to participate. The way he phrased it was that it was strictly non-violent civil disobedience of some sort ... with the possibility of getting arrested ... which seemed to be fine with him! I imagine he'll be reporting from there. Maybe the TYT network will have something tomorrow.

Join us tomorrow for our live coverage of Democracy Spring, a sit-in at Capital Hill, where thousands of Americans will come together in an act of civil disobedience to demand that Congress take immediate action to end the corruption of big money in politics and ensure free and fair elections for all.
Due to the nature of the event we don't have an exact start time for our live coverage. We will post more info on our Facebook page and www.therealnews.com as soon as we know.

These folks started with a march in Philly to DC. They arrive tonight or tomorrow. They work all next week in DC occupying the Capitol.
The big push is to get money out of politics (repeal Citizens United), Bring back voting rights, and to have government by the people not the corporations.
I hope it is big. I couldn't swing the trip but sent money to help others. Last DC march for me was '73 , the Nixon inauguration and anti-war march.
