It is late but I am motivated to post this.

The upcoming election is a circus and there seems to be no alternative.
The MSM likes this as it is good for ratings and padding the bottom line and the majority of us are left behind.
Alternative choices are given the previous Bernie blacklist to maintain the status quo.
Cornel West is an alternative but he has more or less been shadow banned.
This video is an actual alternative what could be possible.
Worth a view!
None of this will be shown by the MSM as this is how they like it.

The video is not short but for me it is spot on.
There is an actual alternative choice that it being stifled by THTB!
Thank you Humphrey, definitely worth a listen.

Question from Smith: “Who’s worse for the country, republicans or democrats?"
Answer from West: “You have to look at it both, from the country and the world. There’s no doubt that Trump is leading us to the 2nd Civil War …. Biden is leading us to the 3rd world (nuclear) war.
Cornel West is the only religiously oriented. preacher-like public figure that attracts, rather than repels me.

Aint that the truth...
Quote 'Cornel West is the only religiously oriented. preacher-like public figure that attracts, rather than repels me.' This is so true for me too!

I watched that interview on the Sabby Sabs show,
although I don't recall the remark about civil war and WWIII.
I have three issues with Dr. West's campaign, meaning no disrespect to the man personally. The first is a generic observation that intellectuals are not good at governing.
The second, and please correct me if I am wrong, but what I have heard from him suggests to me that he is not at all anti-corporate. I wonder if he could be trusted on farm policy, for example. I suspect he still holds the view that corps are where the jobs are, and that so long as Black farmers get their fair share of subsidies, as indeed they should, he would be just fine with GMOs, corporate monopolies on seeds, and CAFOs.
Furthermore, I can't accept some of his love thy neighbor rhetoric. People who burn down libraries and trash the buses their grannies ride on are not my brothers. Wealthy families who deliberately conspire to push addictive drugs onto an unsuspecting public need to be in prison, not reached out to.

Sorry, but West's presentation and rhetorical style
will not appeal to more than a small subset of the US electorate, and also turns off a majority. "Love" as a political position is worse than useless because it diverts attention and action from real and solvable problems by overwhelming consensus if leaders would factually and truthfully inform the public. At this point too few understand the difference between the personal and private and the public and public good and when, where and why lines between the two are drawn.
Agree.
One thing I'd like to see Cornel do is accept a challenging interview once in a while, as he tends to talk only with friendlies. Steven Smith, Charlemagne, Briahna, Sabby, Hedges -- all are already on his side or on his team. It would be interesting to see an interviewer probe harder and see how much depth he has on some key issues. His usual Brother/Sister-ing the interviewer seems to be a game intended to keep the questions soft and manageable. But some indy interviewers seem reluctant to treat him with other than kid gloves.
