Rainy here, but we need it. Plus it cooled things off. Next week is called to be hot and dry, so get it while you can is my thought.

Off to run errands in town, and get something done during the rain. I buy non-ethanol gas for my small and older engines. However, I recently found out as long as there's less than 10% ethanol in gas it can be called non-ethanol...sounds about right.

We need to get rid of the ethanol anyway...a vestige of Iowa being the first to vote in the national primaries. After all it lowers mileage and increases pollution.

Well better get with it. Everyone have a good day!

@Lookout

it is hell on small engine carbs
unfortunately they do not sell ethanol free in
reasonable amounts around here
have to go the airport to get it, real hassle
otherwise it's $20 for a gallon can

enjoy the rains!

I woke up this morning determined to drink less, eat right, and exercise.
But that was four hours ago when I was younger and full of hope.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." ---- William Casey, CIA Director, 1981

Katie Halper is interviewing Medea Benjamin.

Katie Halper puts out this opinion which is not hers but which she says "expresses a commonly expressed opinion": "Stopping the flow of arms to Ukraine wold bring about a rapid peace, but on Russian terms. And Ukraine is helpless without a constant supply of Western arms."

This "commonly expressed opinion" is uninteresting and silly. All peace settlements will be on Russian terms. And the longer the war goes on, the more severe the Russians' terms will be. Moreover, Ukraine would be vastly empowered by not being compelled to go on "counter-offensives."

Medea Benjamin first says something on the order of "we have no way of saying 'don't get those or don't keep fighting' -- that's up to the Ukrainians to do." Really? Does Medea Benjamin really think the Ukrainians have any choice at all in the matter of what to do? Maybe the ones who stage mutinies have a choice.

She then recovers by asking "where is this going?" and mentioning a Republican initiative to ask Biden what his strategy is. All of that stuff is fine. But the bizarre moment remains.
