Train Wreck

Open Thread Image.jpg

The train wreck in Palestine Ohio seems emblematic of the state of the nation and collective west. We've come off the rails economically, politically, socially, militarily, ecologically... There was some good news this week in the Netherlands, as the farmer protest party (BBB) won the largest number of members of their upper senate. Xi heads to Moscow this week. He may have a concept for peace in Ukraine. If that's true, my bet is the US will oppose it. Much more below the fold...

ohio-east-palestine-train-wreck-fire-1880x1057-1635366799.jpg

Neil Oliver and I had the same notion of the symbolism of the the Palestine train wreck. (15 min)

However, Neil adds to the hypothesis with an interesting notion that capitalism is dependent on war...requires war to exist. On many levels capitalism, as practiced in the west, is a rigged game.

Neil also had an interesting interview with George Galloway this week (1 hour).

The best explanation of the bank collapses this week that I heard came from Micheal Hudson.
Why 3 US banks collapsed in 1 week: Economist Michael Hudson explains (1 hour)

As I understand, it the bottom line is that raising rates at the fed impact the value of the bonds banks hold. Michael goes into much greater detail.

Here's another excellent discussion with both Micheal and Dennis Kucinich.
Dennis Kucinich and Michael Hudson on the Anatomy of Bank Failures (42 min)

This is a wide-ranging discussion about the anatomy of bank failures. Dave Kelley, the moderator, is a pension actuarial expert, headquartered in Ohio. Chairman of the Domestic Policy subcommittee of the Govt Oversight Committee, Kucinich, as a senior member of Congress, investigated the subprime meltdown, grilling Wall Street titans. Michael Hudson is one of eight economists in the world who predicted the collapse of the financial system 2007-2008. He is a noted author on the corruption of the economy. Kucinich’s most recent book, The Division of Light and Power, explored corruption in the banking and private utilities industries.

Banking Crime Scene - The market is telling us something very bad is coming (12 min)

We now have an international banking crisis. The potential next phase is a global credit crunch, which could lead to another worldwide financial crisis, but regulators and central banks are pulling out all stops to prevent that from happening. The ructions began on Friday last week when Silicon Valley Bank was unable to satisfy its customers' demands for deposits. An old-fashioned bank run leading to collapse. New York's Signature Bank then failed over the weekend. The US federal government, the Federal Reserve and regulators then scrambled to prevent widespread bank runs across the United States.
Chris goes into great detail in an hour long discussion...
Banking Meltdown was INEVITABLE

Jimmy interviews venture capitalist David Sacks, who makes some interesting points.

The collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and subsequent depositor rescue by the Biden administration through the FDIC has launched a firehose of finger-pointing, ass covering and general controversy. Tech industry investor David Sacks tells Jimmy that government incompetence led to the debacle, which is why government intervention was necessary to save depositors from sustaining heavy losses and possibly inspiring a run on other banks.
Basically he makes the argument that businesses, to make payrolls and so on, have to keep a balance of more than $250,000. He suggests another FDIC guarantee for businesses. Interesting to hear the oligarch side.

Here's the other side of the coin, so to speak...
No, Silicon Valley Bank Shouldn’t Get a Bailout (5 min)

In fact, the economy would be far better off if the government bailed out the people instead of venture capital. Kei Pritsker explains why finance capital contributes nothing but holds the rest of us hostage.

To my mind the oligarchs should have, at least, been given a haircut. Here's an example of someone who should pay a price.
Gavin Newsom Lobbied For Bailout Of Bank HE’S Profiting From! (6.5 min)
As the Silicon Valley Bank crisis was unfolding, California Governor Gavin Newsom aggressively pressed for the federal government to intervene and guarantee that depositors would be made whole. One small point Newsom didn’t mention: that he and his wife both were financially involved with SVB, whether through the three wineries Newsom owns or his wife Jennifer’s non-profit. Jimmy and Kurt Metzger review just some of Newsom’s holdings that might have given him extra incentive to push for swift government action on Silicon Valley Bank.

U.S. Is Lying About China Being A “Threat!” – Says Fmr Australian Prime Minister

Former Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating for some reason is being allowed to tell the truth about the alleged “threat” posed by China to the United States and other western nations. China represents no military challenge to the U.S., Keating says, but is a legitimate rising economic power, and that’s why the U.S. feels the need to assert greater military control over the entire Pacific Rim.

The U.S. has not admitted this even though Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that the U.S. needs to be more transparent when reporting on civilian casualties and work harder to avoid them. Jimmy had several interesting discussions with RFK Jr this week.
RFK Jr. Says He Could Be The Donald Trump Of The Democratic Party (20 min)
Robert F. Kennedy jr. is mulling a run for the Presidency and challenging Joe Biden for the Democratic Party nomination. Kennedy admits that the United States no longer has a functioning democracy, and that the Democratic Party is already manipulating the 2024 primaries and refusing to hold debates — all in order to protect Biden. Jimmy talks to Kennedy about the 2024 race and why he believes he can break through despite the party’s rank corruption and win the nomination as an outsider like a 2024 Democratic version of 2016 Donald Trump.

Video Proves Joe Rogan WAS RIGHT About Bill Gates!
(17 min)
Bill Gates is not a medical doctor, not a virologist, not a scientist and not even a college graduate, yet we as a society hang on his every word when it comes to proper response to a viral pandemic. Why? It probably has something to do with the millions of dollars he’s “donated” to the World Health Organization and otherwise spent to become a go-to mouthpiece for a range of financial interests, from food to vaccines. Jimmy and guest Robert F. Kennedy jr. discuss how Gates made $500 million off of the COVID vaccines he was wildly promoting, then cashed out and started acknowledging that the vaccines aren’t actually all that great.

RFK Jr. VINDICATED Over Exposing Fauci’s Lab Leak Lies (18 min)
Former CDC Director Robert Redfield recently testified before a Congressional committee that NIAID Director Anthony Fauci had funded gain-of-function research into coronaviruses at the Wuhan lab that is suspected of being the source of COVID. Fauci of course famously testified under oath that he had NOT funded gain-of-function research, so SOMEONE is lying. Jimmy and guest Robert F. Kennedy jr. discuss Fauci’s sordid record of corruption, skirting the law and getting in bed with the Defense Department to research bioweaponry.

How Warren Buffett & Bill Gates PROFIT Off Childhood Obesity! (9.5 min)
There’s little question the United States has an obesity problem, and in particular a childhood obesity problem. Many place the blame for this societal ill on the propagation of processed foods, and in particular the injection of high fructose corn syrup into practically every food product on the market. But did you know that billionaires Warren Buffett and Bill Gates have profited handsomely off of the increased use of high fructose corn syrup? Jimmy and guest Robert F. Kennedy jr. discuss how Gates has ALSO made lots of money by impoverishing Africans.

Biden Approves Huge Oil Drilling Contract In Pristine Alaskan Wilderness!
Joe Biden rode into the presidency in part on the strength of his commitment to dealing with climate change and reining in the fossil fuel industry. Fast forward two plus years and the Biden administration has just announced approval of a massive oil drilling project in the Alaskan wilderness for ConocoPhillips. Jimmy and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. discuss whether anyone should be surprised that Joe Biden has gone back on his campaign pledge not to approve any additional drilling.

I want to conclude with another clip from Neil Oliver... (11 min)

Remember when we maintained a simple trust in our High Street banks? How young we were, how naïve... Many are speculating that a final and catastrophic crash is coming for the banks, and maybe it is...

Tomorrow is spring. Today is the last day of winter. The plants and flowers cycle in their natural way even as banks collapse and we wage war. The birds migrate in their usual patterns, and nature provides reassurance in a volatile world. The Cherry trees are past peak and are snowing down their pink petals leaving a carpet of color below them. I think we are in our last cold spell of winter here in this corner of Alabama. It is below freezing this morning, but just barely. The garden calls and we'll be busy the next few weeks answering. To me the garden is real wealth. We had collard greens this week that made it through the winter. The cold weather makes them sweet. That's an investment I can believe...from tiny seed to a large potful of greens. Dollar bills are just paper. Nature, friends, and family are where true value resides. Treasure the important things and manage your finances the best you can in these interesting times.

As always, I look forward to your thoughts, ideas, interesting links and so on in the comments below.

@QMS

In fact we are making efforts to sabotage the belt and road progress.
https://asiatimes.com/2020/12/belt-and-road-paranoia-will-rumble-on-unde...

The Chinese model allows all manner of parallel taxes, sales, rents, leases and profits. This means extra sources of income for host governments with an important corollary: freedom from the hardcore neoliberal diktats of IMF-World Bank. This is what is at the heart of the notorious Chinese win-win.
...
The Belt and Road is positioning vast swaths of the Global South to become completely independent from the Western-imposed debt trap. For scores of nations, this is a matter of national interest. In this sense, the Belt and Road should be regarded as the ultimate post-colonialist mechanism.

Too bad we can cooperate. Instead we'll do everything possible to hold on to power, as the majority of the world joins BRICS+. TPTB refuse to accept the writing on the wall.

Hope your weather is warming and you're doing well!

“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”

@QMS Great short article. It goes directly from China into Russia. Not through Mongolia. No sanctions can disrupt the rail line.

Speaking of travel routes, US airline carriers want the gummit to penalize any Asian airline that travels across Russian air space. Why? The shortest routes to Asia go over Russia but Moscow has closed off any US/EU fly overs in retaliation to them shutting out Russian airlines. The next effect is that Western airlines must fly around Russia and use a ton of extra fuel and transit time. Asian airlines allowed to fly over Russia.

Backlash Of Sanction On Russia Must Not Lead To Sanctions On Everyone

Russia closed its airspace for U.S. and European carriers not because of the war in Ukraine but because the U.S. and its NATO proxies closed their airspace for Russian carriers. To mislead about that, as the opener of NYT piece does, is a disservice to the reader.

Flights on U.S. carriers from the U.S. to India, which previously crossed Siberia, now have to take other routes:

Airlines for America estimated the lost annual market share of U.S. carriers at a collective $2 billion per year

.

From the NYtimes article quoted in the article.

Now airlines are pressing the White House and Congress to fix the problem by subjecting foreign carriers from nations not already banned from Russian airspace to the same restrictions applied to U.S. airlines, effectively forcing them to fly the same routes as their American competitors.
The Biden administration should “take action to ensure that foreign carriers overflying Russia do not depart, land or transit through U.S. airports,” said Marli Collier, an Airlines for America spokeswoman.

The proposal appears to have gained traction with the Transportation Department, which recently drafted an order that would ban Chinese carriers that fly passengers to the United States from flying through Russian airspace, according to three people who were briefed on the order.

To an airline like Finnish Finnair, the closing of Russian air space might bankrupt them.

are several videos and articles for me to get to today, so thanks to Lookout for posting them.

Recommend the linked Jimmy Dore - RFK Jr discussion. I can't disagree with JD that the DNC will be out to aggressively crush Kennedy, so his chances of getting the D nomination are in fact rather slim. 2% or so I should think, at this point. But if Biden blunders somewhere, or shows visible public signs of his creeping dementia, then things could get interesting.

In any case, at this early stage I am backing Bobby. He's as close to reflecting my views on a wide range of issues as there is, and his grasp of the issues is impressive. Strongly recommend the below video of a speech he gave a few weeks ago in NH. Spoke for an hour w/o notes, one of the best substantive speeches I've seen in a long while.

The replies to the original article on Twitter called out the article as BS. However, DailyKos pushed the article as posted by their staff (not some individual). I can only assume that dk is pushing the article out of very sick, very twisted partisanship as the derailment made Biden admin look bad so they try to marginalize the critics and seriousness of the spill using the old stand by of Russia.

In 2022, Hillary Clinton was fined by the Federal Election Commission after an investigation showed that she and the DNC "misreported payments made to a law firm during the 2016 campaign to obscure the spending," the AP reported last year.

The lawfirm was Perkins Coie, which hired research firm Fusion GPS, which then fabricated evidence, compiled in the Steele Dossier, which was later used by Congress to impeach Donald Trump.

The Clinton campaign classed these expenses paid to Perkins Coie for opposition research as "legal services," and for that misrepresentation, Clinton was made to pay a fine of $113,000.

Donald Trump is facing potential felony indictment over recording payments made to his attorney, which were then paid out to porn-star Stormy Daniels in alleged hush money, as legal fees.

Clinton was given a $113,000 fine, Trump is looking at the possibility of handcuffs, for the same charges—mischaracterizing payments to lawyers as legal fees when those lawyers were passing on the money for another purpose

Also too

Obama, Hillary Settled Nearly $500,000 In Campaign Finance Fines And Never Faced An Indictment, Proving Trump Investigation A Sham

Both former President Barack Obama and two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton were fined a collective total of $488,000 for campaign finance violations and didn’t face indictment or arrest unlike 45th President and leading 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump.

In 2013, Obama’s 2008 campaign was fined one of the largest fines in presidential campaign history with a $375,000 fine from the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for campaign reporting violations.

In 2022, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) settled an FEC investigation into whether they violated campaign finance laws by paying a $113,000 Steele dossier fine.

Despite adult film “star” Stormy Daniels being ordered to pay Trump $300,000 for losing a defamation case against him, Far-left Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) is attempting to bring charges against Trump over a $130,000 payment made by his former lawyer and now convicted liar, Michael Cohen, to Daniels.

Biden and his family received millions from a Chinese company and republicans have the bank receipts showing who in the family received the funds, but democrats and their shitlibs are saying that it’s just Russian propaganda. Now imagine their reaction if this was the Trump family instead.

Trump criticized some journalists for lying about him, but democrats actually attacked 2 journalists during hearings that showed how the government pressured social media to censor anyone who didn’t toe the government line on its messaging. The blindness to hypocrisy is astounding.

Then there’s the dueling classified files debacle. Trump had classified files at his estate and he was working with the agency to return them, but he was raided by the FBI and the media made a huge deal out of it. Biden also had classified files recovered at least 9 places and his attorneys were allowed to quietly scoop them up and return them to where they needed to be. Trump’s files were very secured whilst Biden’s were found in willey nilley places including in his garage.

Everyone involved lied about the SARS-CoV2 origins. Ecohealth got caught lying quite early on when DRASTIC was exposed; DARPA turned down their requested program to engineer and test modified coronaviruses in Chinese caves, and among the slams in that refusal was the fact that the population of the nation in question were effectively not being asked for their consent. That Ecohealth arrogated to itself the right to test a genetically-modified organism on someone else's soil without the informed consent of the people residing there was sufficient grounds to destroy the organization and jail every single person involved. DARPA has no authority to do that, but our DOJ does and didn't. The deception did not stop there; Fauci claimed that NIH wasn't actually funding said research when it was, and we now know he was lying. He didn't go to jail for that either, did he? That the virus was clearly engineered was known very early on because it contained a patented sequence and, in addition, had another sequence in it that never occurs in nature. The latter is routinely used by virus labs for this exact reason; if you put a virus through some process (e.g. through a cell line) and that sequence comes out the other end you know what you did worked because it can't occur naturally. That this was present in SARS-CoV2 was known within weeks of its alleged "arrival" in the US.

Everyone involved lied about when Covid was first "out" in the population. This was known too. When it first arrived in Washington State and NY, along with the outbreak in Italy, we knew that the strain in NY was not the same as the one on the west coast; it was instead essentially the same as that in Italy. We also knew at that point from the mutational rate it had to be in the wild no later than roughly the end of September of 2019. I posted on this at the time and we later proved this was correct because analysis of blood donated during the first week of December of 2019 detected antibodies specific to SARS-CoV2 which, at the time (there were no jabs of course) could have only occurred if the person who donated the blood had become previously infected and survived.

Plus there is this one that I posted a few days ago. You should watch the video that shows how this was a planned release after it was created here at the university of North Carolina and then the work was transferred to Wuhan after the moratorium. Fauci lied about gain of function…congress knows that he lied about it and all this‘lets get to the bottom of this crap by republicans is just kabuki theater and a limited hangout to keep the truth from coming out.

In September 2019 the WHO publication published a report that said that there In September 2019 the WHO publication published a report that said that there

Two days ago David Martin produced a YouTube video further establishing incontrovertible evidence that the entire COVID-19 operation was a criminal conspiracy years in the making.

His presentation is germane to today’s earlier article on the Republican COVID-19 declassification bill that is ultimately more of the same obfuscation blame game and further vilification of China; to wit:

…the Wuhan Institute of Virology was not merely funded by the CCP, but was for all intents and purposes created by the CIA, DoD, Pentagon, BigPharma and Fauci’s network of tax theft agencies and institutes. All of the Gain-of-Function technology that Wuhan was weaponizing came from Fauci’s bioweapons research point man Ralph Baric at the University of North Carolina. In other words, this is not a China operation, and the intentional lab leak was not ordered by the CCP.

Martin references a research paper published in early 2016 whereby the scientist team and their funders implicate themselves by their very own admissions. They confess to performing illegal Gain of Function (GoF) research during the GoF moratorium.

Every democrat and Republican in the house voted for the release of the Covid files so that they can get to the truth about this scam, but they already have the truth and they will do nothing about it because it was a deliberate release and run by factions of the government and military. But anyone who doesn’t help cover it up will be bounced from congress before their last check from big pharma clears the bank. Iran has already accused America of releasing the virus on their country as has Russia and they actually have the evidence of it from the bio weapons labs in Ukraine. They have made a claim to the security council, but our resident empire protector denied it.

Watch the video and see the truth.

Yes they did lie just about everything. And before they released the viruses they sent doctors a memo not to prescribe antibiotics for pneumonia. Why any doctor followed that is beyond comprehension. This wasn’t just in the states either, but worldwide. That shows premeditation right?

I posted a video that Jimmy did on the AIDS epidemic that had coverage of the people calling out Fauci for denying life saving drugs and going with AZT instead which was today’s remdisiver. It wasn’t AIDS that killed my brother and millions of people, but the drugs used. After that he continued to sell us out to big pharma. He’s made millions of our illnesses and deaths. George Galloway just said in his live stream that on the anniversary of the invasion of Iraq the ICC makes an arrest warrant for war crimes. Was it Bush...was it Blair... no it was Putin. I mean really you can't make it up.

Hope you and Sam are doing well!

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has favourably received an invitation from Saudi Arabia's King Salman to visit the kingdom following the reconciliation deal between the two countries, an Iranian official said Sunday.

"In a letter to President Raisi... the King of Saudi Arabia welcomed the deal between the two brotherly countries (and) invited him to Riyadh," tweeted Mohammad Jamshidi, the Iranian president's deputy chief of staff for political affairs, adding that "Raisi welcomed the invitation".

The two regional heavyweights announced on March 10 a Chinese-brokered deal to restore ties seven years after they were severed.

Riyadh cut relations after Iranian protesters attacked Saudi diplomatic missions in 2016 following the Saudi execution of Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr -- just one in a series of flashpoints between the two longstanding regional rivals.

The series of storms will give this year's massive snowpack yet another boost, as it closes in on a modern record. The statewide average reached 24 inches of water on Friday before dipping a bit to 23.8 inches Sunday morning, according to Natural Resources Conservation Service data. It's currently 0.8 inches above the previous record for this point in the snow collection season since 1980.

This beats the amount from 1983. Will we see rivers down state street again? The gusty winds are just now arriving….Ahh well…spring will come. In 1983 the year of the floods spring didn’t get here until August and it rained every weekend till then and when we finally got into the back country the wildflowers were just blooming. And boy did they bloom. It’s going to be June or even July before we can get back to Xmas meadows. I’ll be going just over the mountain for awhile. It’s the backside of the Paramount mountain you see in their movies.

We wanted this and I’m not complaining but the legislature bailed on making sure that the excess water makes it into the lake. They had the chance to do it, but the rich people who have water rights told them not to do it at this time!

We all have taxation without representation. The rich have representation without taxation.

This is cool.

...as you well know. We've plenty of water but the distribution over the year is erratic. The last few years we've gotten 70+ inches per year. Typical annual rainfall is less the 60 inches. The jet stream is in flux as the arctic warms.

Just as the pandemic was used to manipulate us, my thought is they plan to use climate change in a similar way. The sheeple herd more easily than the deer.

Now, onto the other reason for why they would issue this ruling against Putin now. The first as I said was to throw a shade over Xi’s coming state visit. Another likely and more significant possibility is to undercut any potential future peace talks between Putin and Zelensky.

The powers that be are watching Ukraine’s collapse and know the last big ‘hurrah’ hail mary throw of the vaunted ‘Spring Offensive’ will be the true beginning of the end, at which point Zelensky will be under great pressure from various sides to begin formal overtures of peace/compromise toward Putin/Russia.

By issuing this arrest warrant on Putin, the powers that be are effectively dousing him with a ‘black mark’, or perhaps a scarlet letter which throws great legal weight against any potential peace proceedings. After all, how do you formally and officially meet for legal peace agreements with a known, internationally recognized ‘criminal’? Would Slobodan Milosevic be allowed to hold ‘peace talks’ with anyone in a formal, legal format?

In fact, this is straight out of the standard CIA playbook. Here’s a Washington Post article from May 28, 1999 which says:

Russia vowed today to continue to try to mediate between NATO and Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic but said that his indictment on war crimes charges had complicated the effort and that the talks were not moving in a positive direction.

The indictment of Milosevic on the eve of Chernomyrdin's visit was denounced by Russia, and viewed by some Russian officials as a sign that the West is taking an uncompromising approach. The newspaper Izvestia noted that "it is impossible to come to terms with a wanted military criminal" and claimed the indictment would cancel out Chernomyrdin's diplomacy.

Read that last part again: “it is impossible to come to terms with a wanted criminal” and that this indictment would “cancel out…diplomacy.”

You see how conveniently it all works out? By branding a leader with the ‘black mark’ of international pariah status, you magically poison any possibility of his being allowed to hold formal, legal, internationally recognized diplomacy of any sort.

In short, this action is a ‘setting fire to the ships’ (rather than mere ‘show across the bow’) for Ukraine. The message is, no peace talks will be accepted—we need you to fight and die to the last Ukrainian.

Well then Russia has no other option than to continue with the special operation until they meet their objectives. Sadly more Ukrainians will die needless deaths.

and then a forecast that strongly suggests spring will have sprung. I welcome it, but always dread the extreme heat and humidity of summer.
It is time to stock up food and other basic necessities. I realize a couple of members, maybe more, equate practical preparation with hoarding.
Not everyone here lives within a close distance to grocery stores or hardware stores. Those of us who must drive a distance to buy food have to plan on high fuel costs, as well as empty shelves, as well as inflation. We will be shopping yard sales and resale stores for a bicycle. At least that would get us to the post office. It would get us to the lake to get water to purify for drinking.
Everyone has different concerns and different priorities, as well as different degrees of readiness if the poo hits the fan.
I do recommend that everyone take an assessment of there level of preparedness, and I wish you all well.

@Lookout Silver and gold are always the "go to" purchases.
When I was growing up, we were 30 miles from the nearest grocery store. When we went shopping, we bought at least a month's worth of food. A car trunk full, a back seat full of food and necessities. Nobody gave it a thought as being anything but practical.
I am extremely fortunate that I am 100% debt free, 20 years now. 3 pieces of real estate, a home, an office building, 4 autos. When you are self-employed, that is what you must strive to do. I will not lose anything if my clientele cannot hire me.
Any ideas you can pass along to help get us through a crash, we all want to hear them.

@QMS You would be surprised how many pro bono cases, and reduced fees (family discount) I quote. When my old high school pals come in, or clients I have been representing for decades need something, they always get the "family discount".
I think I am set for autos for this life. I can't imagine buying another one. I am pretty conscientious about maintenance.
I sold an 18 yr old 3/4 ton Ford diesel that had 69,000 miles on it. I keep them all in rotation, so none of them rack up high mileage.
It's been decades since I bought a new car every 3 or 4 years. I am a no kids, no debts, no stress, other than some pretty crazy clients, kinda gal!

...and everybody has their own unique challenges. Regardless, getting to know your local community is a valuable resource. You've told several stories related your neighborhood. My buddy once said to me, "I couldn't go somewhere else..I would lose my resource base. I know all the local mechanics, welders, carpenters, and so on." The other day you mentioned a local farmer that told you he had your back. Those are the sort of relationships all our friends need.

Sounds to me like you've got your bases covered. Take care and be well!

@Lookout The welder is my neighbor and high school pal. The auto mechanic is a friend of a judge who sent me to the mechanic. The home builder is my client and friend for 30 years. The insurance agent is my client. The plumber is my client as are his parents, whom I grew up with. I can add the convenience store owner, the manager of another, the vet, the manager of the local grocery store, the post master, the sheriff, the county judge, 3 ranchers, and so on. I would be totally nuts to move somewhere else. We will stick together. Nobody will be left behind.

and the media sycophants that spouted their lies and covered up massive war crimes and crimes against humanity. This is one of his most powerful essays and that’s saying something since he has written so many good ones.

Russia could have gone all shock and awe against Ukraine and taken Kiev quickly and saved a lot of Russian troop’s lives, but he has taken great pains to not unnecessarily destroy infrastructure or needlessly killed civilians.

Remember when George Bush 1 slaughtered over 10,000 Iraqi troops coming back from Kuwait in the convoy of trucks by bombing the ones at the front and rear so that they would have nowhere to escape to and then sent jet after jet to bomb those just sitting in their trucks. The journalists that Chris mentions here…where were they that day and what did they write about it?
