#IMWITHJANE

#IMWITHJANE

Jane Sanders, a truly heroic human being who worked as a social worker before her husband ever ran for President, is being viciously attacked by HRC supporters over her looks. This is the most disgraceful her supporters have ever been. There are about 100,000 people using the imwithher hashtag, and only 1000 using #IMWITHJANE. Let's come together, all 50,000 of us, and let the country know where we stand; on the side of decency. #IMWITHJANE

If we want this to have the Most Effect, share and post the hashtag on your pages, on your friends pages, on other Bernie pages. Let's really get the word out and blow imwithher out of the water with #IMWITHJANE. Let's show them that Hillary may own the MSM but it is Bernie Sanders that owns the internet. People like visuals, so here is a Great Pic of YOUNG LOVE to add to your all of your posts: The Future President Bernie Sanders and Future First Lady Jane Sanders.

[UPDATE]
Jane Sanders town hall in Cheyenne

...Jane Sanders, the wife of Bernie, held a town hall in Cheyenne, Wyo. More than 100 people gathered at the depot in Cheyenne to hear both Jane and and activist Jim Hightower speak.

Play one of the above videos for the one-on-one interview with Jane Sanders. Play the other video for a quick wrap of her town hall meeting and reaction from Cheyenne residents.

QUESTION FOR JANE SANDERS [@5min12secs]:
As First Lady, in Washington, if that happens, what do you think you can do that will have a positive impact here, for the people of Wyoming?

JANE:
Well, my hope is to focus on children and families. That’s what I’ve always done – improving the quality of life. The cost of child care, I hear in Wyoming is off-the-charts! And yet, child care workers are paid very very little. K-thu-12 education needs to be more relevant. We need to be to have connections to jobs after high school. And then we also have to have the ability for kids to be able to go to college without ending up bankrupting their future because of the cost, and that’s why Bernie is supporting a number of things ...[Free College Tuition]...
[snip]
My focus will be how will improve the quality of life, lessen the stress, and that takes many different ways of doing it and we did it in Burlington. That was my focus as the Director of the Mayors Youth Office, when I worked for Bernie, long before we were married. So, I think I would continue along those lines.

Being married to Bernie

* Jane O’Meara Driscoll Sanders *

Accomplished in her own right — she is, among other things, a former president of a Vermont college — she is the people person to his curmudgeon, the one who lives on the ground while he lives in his head. As her husband makes a strong national showing in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, she remains his closest adviser, and part of her advice, on debate night as always, was that he stay focused on why he decided to run this race in the first place.

Their meet-cute was also a meet-political. In 1981, Jane O’Meara Driscoll, a recently divorced transplanted New Yorker, went to a meeting where the then mayor of Burlington was discussing a proposed tax hike that many thought would hurt low-income residents. Jane took the floor to ask some pointed questions, and when she sat down the person next to her said, “You sound like Bernie Sanders.”

“Who’s Bernie Sanders?” she asked.

He was the candidate opposing this six-term incumbent mayor, she was told, and Jane was soon working to organize a debate between the two. “He was so inspiring,” she says of her now husband at that event. “He embodied everything I believed in.”

Her visit here to Arizona was mindblowing...meeting with the Apaches over Oak Flat, taking on Sheriff Joe in his own jail. She and Bernie complement each other so well.

I really identify with Jane. It's incredible to me that anyone who considers herself a Democrat would try to bodyshame this wonderful woman.

Well, Clinton supporters are just cementing their reputation as bullies. We just need to show them up for what they are.

Whew, glad I missed whatever was said that was a "bodyshame" of this magnificent woman. I ADORE her. What a team they make. Seriously, if I'd read anything negative about this wonderful woman, written by a supporter of "She-who-can-not-be named" expect would've said something awful about "piano legs" and "cankles" - and remember in the 1990's when she did wear dresses, and now you know why she only wears coverups, or something equally vulgar, probably even more vulgar!
See, glad I didn't read about anyone trying to "bodyshame" a woman as wonderful as Jane Sanders!

Calling HRC a hag or "shrillary" is sexist as hell.

Not telling anybody what to say. Just saying how it makes you look.

There is *so* much to work with, in critiquing HRC, that misogynist name-calling comes off as especially mentally lazy, and it gives women who support her a valid complaint against Sanders supporters. Why would we want to do that?

I don't think calling Clinton "shill" or "shrill" is sexist. I'm a straight, ERA, lefty female. If the shoe fits, let her wear it. The words are accurate descriptions even if they are negative. Rec'd.

since it's an equal-opportunity insult (and if anything, men are more often shills than women).

"Shrill" is on slightly more dubious ground, but men can certainly be "shrill" too. (Ugh - some tenors! Biggrin )

It's definitely sexist because it's only used to diss women.

I didn't say nuttin' 'bout "shill."

That calling Clinton "Shrillary" is really no different than calling Jane Sanders a fat slob. So if you don't like the latter, which you most certainly should not, you're in a bit of a glass house with the former.

But it seems to apply primarily to vocal music (boys' treble, high "bright" tenors, countertenors).

Historically speaking, Abraham Lincoln's(!) voice was often described as "shrill". (Sometimes even current historians use that description!) http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/ask-an-expert-what-did-abraham-lin...

Won't it be wonderful, when Jane & Bernie and their kids, and grandkids are photographed reading Winnie-the-Pooh under the sign of SANDERS at the White House.

To post a picture: Find a picture online, save it to your computer. Then, when you are typing a comment in the box, the first icon under the word "Comment" is to include a picture. When you click it, a little window opens, with several boxes. Click "Browse". That opens a bigger, File Browser window. Right under where it says "File Browser" is a box that says "Upload". Click on that, and a button appears below it that says "Browse" (again!) That will take you to the file system on your computer. Select the file, click "Upload" (the one BELOW the Browse button you just pushed...there are a lot of repeated buttons in this process), and it will put your picture into a library on the site here. Go back to the the Insert/edit image window. Click "Browse" (again!) and choose your image, by clicking on it, and it's file name pops into the "Image url" box. Hit "okay", and here it is: Bernie2K16.jpg

I don't have one damn thing in common with HRC. It's not just because she's a 1%er, but as a woman... I don't think she and I live in the same realm.

It's hard to meet eye to eye with another while they are looking down their noses at you.

Jane Sanders seem to be someone you could talk with, share experiences. I think we'd be on the same page or at least in the same book. Clinton, not even close - she's in the Reagan Library.
