"This is a potential banking meltdown," says former bank director Alasdair MacLeod, head of research at Gold Money. There is a new emerging debt crisis in the Eurozone. The Euro is dropping to parity with the U.S. Dollar, and things are about to get much worse. The problem is not just going to impact Europe, though Eurozone banks are extremely leveraged. part 2 here

Sadly our media is so corrupt and complicit and most people are propagandized.
Max and Aaron try to explain to MSM sources at a meeting this week.

At the Collision tech conference in Toronto on 6/21/22, before a hostile audience filled with members of the corporate press, The Grayzone's Max Blumenthal and Aaron Mate explain how the mainstream media is the most prolific source of disinformation on the planet, working closely with the national security state to cultivate public support for war while deflecting scrutiny from the oligarchy that controls it.

When reporters do reveal uncomfortable truths they are persecuted. Think of Julian's torture, but punishing good reporters is common around the world.
Germany criminalizes journalist for exposing Ukrainian war crimes (40 min)
Independent Donetsk-based journalist Alina Lipp of Germany speaks to Max Blumenthal about being prosecuted by the German state for violating new speech codes through her reporting in the breakaway Donetsk Republic. As the only German reporter on the ground in Donetsk, Lipp has exposed Ukrainian forces shelling civilians, attacking a maternity ward, mining harbors, and bombing a granary filled with corn for export. She faces three years in prison if she returns to her home country.

So here we are in a collapsing system where truth is illegal, war is a celebrated tool of control, and the economies are based on a worthless currency. No wonder people are coming unglued. Well here's hoping you are all doing well and keeping it together as we experience this free falling collapse. I look forward to your thoughts and insights below.

There is a "deafening" media silence on protests around the world protesting against the elites, according to Webster University Assistant Professor Ralph Schoellhammer.

"They are significant protests – we're talking about 30,000 people in The Netherlands," Prof Schoellhammer said.

Prof Schoellhammer said the media and political campaign across the west against "disinformation" is part of a broader attempt to "undermine" organised protests against the agenda of the elites.

"That the best way to prevent the pushback from large numbers of people is if they don't know that anything is going on," he said.

"Think about the situation of the truckers in Canada when they pulled their bank accounts ... so this is undermining the possibility of those people to organise.

"It's what interest groups, what these players do – they see there is something coming that could be a threat to their power so they try to do something to undermine it."

Great roundup of the meltdown. We have a bunch of actual mad Bond villains fighting over who is going to run the world. All accusing a guy who is not, Putin, of being such. Of course the moronic mongers are grabbing for all the spoils they can on the way to angling to be the great decider. Or at least on the board of great deciders. The power attracts the crazed and deranged, the psycho- and sociopath, the Hillarys and Obamas, the Trumps, Shrubs, and so on. We are drowning evil, greed, and incompetence, starved and deprived of altruistic, much less intelligent, leadership. In a complete all-systems meltdown caused by idiots running things. When their shat finally hits the fan they will insist their pile of money means they are best qualified to be Captain of the ship and direct course.

@Lookout Hi LO! With most songbirds they breed two or three times per breeding season/cycle. As long as conditions are good (generally measured by food supply). They will continue singing as long as they have a territory to defend/mark. It is how they mark territory to others, by singing. When they quit singing, they are done nesting for the year/season. That is why there is a 'dawn chorus' every morning
during breeding season, to let all the neighbors know 'this is my patch'. Our dawn chorus is way way dialed back here already, lots has given up for the year here.

But a fair number are now on their third round if they are going again. For us here the two broods most got out (fledged) that we saw were of only one or two young per brood. When not in critical drought conditions and plenty of food it will be three or four young fledged per round. But many here are still trying again. When you go way far north most birds only get two rounds off at best. It is a short quick bug season up there.

Enjoy that Wood Thrush song!

The pentagon is giving Ukraine permission to blow up the Kersch bridge and there is more and more talk about threatening to do it. Russia has already put its nuclear forces on standby alert, but that hasn’t changed Biden’s mind on trying to end this conflict peacefully. Any attempt to take it down will meet over powering military force from Russia. Putin has warned them about it. All scenarios have already been plotted.

Shitlibs are saying that they are still anti war, BUT they want Biden to send troops into Ukraine and create a no fly zone and think that this would end the conflict there in a matter of weeks. Anyone who suggests that this could have been avoided is met by derision and called pro Putin loving puppets. For me there are no BUTS for being anti war. Most of us here know how easily this shit show could have been avoided. For one thing Obama and his neocon goons could have not done their brutal coup in Ukraine and let Ukraine and Russia work out the details of Ukraine’s debt problems.

Instead Biden’s willing to destroy the world economy and possibly the world itself. And for what? So America can have the biggest dick on the playground?

Dmitry Medvedev has threatened the Ukrainian leadership with a massive strike should Kiev attack Crimea.

The leadership of Ukraine would meet their maker should they attack Crimea, as Russia would retaliate with a massive strike, the country’s former president has warned.

Speaking with Second World War veterans on Sunday in the city of Volgograd, Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s president from 2008 to 2012 and currently deputy chairman of the country’s Security Council, issued a dire warning to the authorities in Kiev, who had earlier said that a strike against Crimea was on the cards.

“Some exalted bloody clowns that are periodically popping up over there with some statements, and are even trying to threaten us – I mean an attack on Crimea and so on,” should be aware that the consequences of such an action would be severe for them, the Russian official said.

According to Medvedev, “in case something like that happens, the Day of Judgement will come to them all simultaneously – a swift and hard one.”

Proposed Title: "The Asteroid Virus"
Genre: Hollywood Satire
Setting: Los Angeles
Time: 1976

Our protagonist is based loosely on filmmaker John Boorman in the 1970s. Shortly after making some money from writing and directing a Dystopian Movie -- like Zardoz, Soylent Green or The Omega Man -- our hero hits on another far-out creative premise. This is from his pitch letter to the Money People:
.

July 20, 1976

Some time in the future, a biotech project goes awry and a new malady is loose on the planet. Suddenly virtually every government in the world springs into unified action to prevent people from passing the infection to other people. Social interaction became anathema and people tried to adjust with fairly good humor, at first.

Dissent develops as contrarians doubt the necessity for such a drastic disruption of economic and social life. The authorities labor furiously to prevent the spread of this dissent. But even more dissent arises as the months roll on and new therapies are mandated, further changing previous social norms. This dispute boils over when a group of truck drivers refuse the mandated therapy and instead park their Big Rigs at very inconvenient locations. Great opportunity for action sequences as the cops are tasked with moving them out of the fricken way.

Here comes the switcheroo.

Just as the lid is about to blow on the trucker battle front -- a portion of the Soviet Union invades another portion of the Soviet Union. Suddenly all the obsession with the disease disappears and is replaced with non-stop "coverage" of the land war. The leaders of the Free World immediately join hands in solidarity with the smaller part of the USSR.

OK, so maybe we are stretching credibility here, but the Allies' idea is to stop buying products from the Bully Side in order to "punish" their citizenry and to tax their country's resources. So, you want to know about that illness thingee about now, right? That is what we call suspense in Hollywood, my friends.

This dispute between the Free World and the Bully Part of the Soviet Union is not based on ideology -- because there is no communism! Been gone for 30 years as our story begins. The screenplay allows the audience to guess as to why that happened. It's called the willing suspension of disbelief.

Climax: Turns out that we do not have to worry about the disease anyway because the payoff of the movie is that this bone of contention between those two parts of the Soviet Union gets out of hand and leads to the Button Being Pushed Down.

I'd like to buy the rights to the closing of Dr. Strangelove for our credit roll.

.

As it turns out our hero can't sell this story. My new movie tracks his humorously obsessed effort to convince The Suits that the story is not too utterly ridiculous for audiences to buy. No, no, no our hero keeps telling studio characters on golf courses, in strip clubs, on fishing boats -- this story will work!

Directing challenge is to show what our hero's weird tale would look like as a backdrop to his frantic salesmanship for his brain child.

All rights reserved.

Vice President Joe Biden enjoys swimming without a bathing suit, a new book claims.

Biden, who’s flirting with a run for president in 2016, gives Secret Service agents an eyeful both at his Delaware home and at the vice president’s official residence in Washington, D.C., according to “The First Family Detail” by Ronald Kessler.

The book relies on named and unnamed sources to describe life guarding prominent politicians including Biden, former President Ronald Reagan, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama.

“Agents say that, whether at the vice president’s residence or at his home in Delaware, Biden has a habit of swimming in his pool nude,” Kessler writes in the book – due for release Aug. 5.

“Female Secret Service agents find that offensive,” he writes.

“Biden likes to be revered as everyday Joe," an unnamed agent told Kessler. "But the reality is no agents want to go on his detail because Biden makes agents’ lives so tough.”

In addition to the alleged skinny-dipping, agents are reportedly irritated by frequent last-minute trips to Delaware.

A Biden spokeswoman would not address the claims on the record. A spokesperson for the Secret Service did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Actually, re Johnson, there were numerous instances in the literature of him either being nekkid or exposed in the vitals area, on purpose, when he was in the presence of what used to be called "mixed company". I think he enjoyed seeing the mostly shock reaction.

And then there was that one informal WH presser in 1965, in the Oval or upstairs in the living quarters, where he took questions from a smaller group of "mixed" journalists.

One foreign reporter (German iirc) asked him Why are you going into VN? Johnson, standing before the small group of m/f reporters, responded by unzipping his fly, pulling out and grabbing his thang as he exclaimed "THIS is why!"

The government has a stockpile of a FDA appraisal drug that can easily treat monkeypox. But instead of making it easy for people to get it is going to start giving people a vaccine that has been authorized under emergency control. Lots of doctors wrote about how dangerous it was to use the vaccine because of the risk of starting a smallpox epidemic in people whose immune systems are shot to hell from the ineffective mRNA shots.

First, the FDA could expand its approval of tecovirimat to include treatment of monkeypox. Even though the FDA approved the drug only for smallpox, the basis for that approval was a clinical trial in monkeys with monkeypox, showing a marked reduction in skin lesions and death. Notably, tecovirimat is approved in the European Union for treatment of both monkeypox and smallpox.
