A clear majority of the world don't back Russian sanctions

I've pointed out before that most of Asia doesn't support our foreign policy.
But now we have a number because someone did the math.

Out of 195 countries, only 30 have honored the US sanctions on Russia. That means about 165 countries in the world have refused to join the sanctions. Those countries represent by far the majority of the world’s population. Most of Africa, Latin America (including Mexico and Brazil), East Asia (excepting Japan, South Korea, both occupied by US troops and hence not sovereign, Singapore and the renegade Chinese Province of Taiwan) have refused. (India and China alone represent 35% of humanity.)

Add to that fact that 40 different countries are now the targets of US sanctions and there is a powerful constituency to oppose the thuggish economic tactics of the US

Finally, at the recent G-20 Summit a walkout led by the US when the Russia delegate spoke was joined by the representatives of only 3 other G-20 countries, with 80% of these leading financial nations refusing to join! Similarly, a US attempt to bar a Russian delegate from a G-20 meeting later in the year in Bali was rebuffed by Indonesia which currently holds the G-20 Presidency.

...to say "thank god; we're losing."

Of course, there is always the question of "Who is WE?", and there's a reason I've become radicalized against the very concept....

Yes Virginia, there is a Global Banking Conspiracy!

The global world understands personally how dangerous the EU/US imperialists are. The trail of dead, maimed and economically starved people is enormous and has affected 86% of the nations and 90% of the global population. The expansion of NATO to the east is a red flag for the world. Given that most people/nations are against war the fact that almost no non-Western nations are supporting sanctions is a very strong signal. The US and the EU think that "the world" is against Russia. This is a case of extreme myopia. Russia is more than secure with her industrial economy and natural resources, which are needed by the global community. In return the global community will provide whatever commodities/products that Russia needs. As the Ruble increases in value and is tied to extracted energy, the Petro Ruble, now pegged to gold, will cause the word to start to use the Ruble as a global trading currency. Russia is an honest trader as so is China and this is an enormous relief for the global community, essentially the beginning of the end of Western Imperialism. It's amazing to me how the West has been able to market itself as a morally superior civilization. The evidence is overwhelmingly contrary to this.

The US = 330 Million
The EU = 448 Million
The World = 8,000 Million

"The West" = 9.7% of the world population

@The Wizard

This is for all the marbles isn’t it? A final stand against US imperialism and it looks like lots of the world is backing Russia. Unfortunately too many European countries are willing to back us and screw their own citizens just because we say so.

Americans don’t realize that their government has been sanctioning them by siphoning off money that should be going to them and given instead to the military industrial killing complex. We sit idly by and watch as a select few make tons of money off the killings. Pelosi appeared in Ukraine blue and swore fealty to more death and mayhem and boy are the shitlibs on their feet clapping their bloody hands. Dumb fcks don’t remember that just a few years ago the media was writing about the Nazis that they are now supporting.

@The Wizard Vladimir Putin now stands a very good chance of being remembered like Winston Churchill: A right-wing authoritarian with some pretty bigoted attitudes, for sure, but NOT a reckless psychopath or habitual aggressor, and THE Man For The Season when the forces of Ultimate Evil were beating down His People's gates.

Russians not only still remember Alexander Nevsky, they deem him their gold standard: https://www.upi.com/Top_News/2008/12/29/Alexander-Nevsky-voted-greatest-...

This is practically their element: Rome fell; Constantinople fell; the Holy Roman Trainwreck fell; Vienna wandered into a bad neighborhood in Sarajevo; Moscow still stands.

Both China and Russia were very big on giving access to their vaccines to non-Western countries either free or very low cost. Russia and Sputnik V people have worked with many countries for them to manufacture the Sputnik V line of vaccines themselves. And Western pharma has refused to allow their vaccines to be manufactured outside the West--with the exception being Oxford-AstraZeneca in India I believe.

In fact, Pfizer basically wanted protections that amounted to extortion just for distributing their vaccine. I know that Pfizer wanted emergency approval by India but Indian government refused as they wanted a full testing of the vaccine--which they require of all vaccines (including Russian one). Last I read Pfizer would not distribute unless given blanket emergency approval. I wonder why. And now it appears the 2-shot Sputnik V regime is effective against the newest Omicron variant which looks to be causing an increase in infection rates. Also, just checking the twitter account for Sputnik V they have come up a nasal spray for their vaccines.

I'm also 100% certain that the rest of the world outside of the U.S./UK see this purely in terms of imperialism.

@gjohnsit Western capitalist pharma demanding concessions that amount to national extortion or else no vital drugs is not Western imperialism? Western capitalist strangulation of developing economies is not imperialism? Pfizer is not part of the imperialist project?

@gjohnsit @MrWebster

so of course there's imperialism coming from Russia, the United States and China. It's a good question which imperialism caused this Ukraine crisis. Either the US or Russia? Both?

Ugly American out of affection. Hey, we hate our government and much of the world agrees with us. Snap your fingers and like magic there's 33 Billion dollars for the Ukraine. Ask for a fraction of that for homeless kids or the mentally ill and too bad, we just can't afford to prop up those losers. That's where both siderism really resides. Hold up a mirror to our politicians and there's a little bit of Donald Trump peeking back out of each and every one.

Biden has kept in place many of Trump’s worse plans and has deported more immigrants in his 1st year than Trump did in 4 years and the shitlibs went to brunch so they could bitch about Trump still and the republicans. They never seem to look at what their beloved democrats are doing. Or not doing.

Obama promised on day one he’d pass legislation for women to keep abortion legal. 4 years later he said it wasn’t a priority for him and here we are. Pelosi is backing anti abortion Cueller of Texas instead of the pro life candidate. But sure it’s my fault that Hillary lost to Trump because she wasn’t perfect.

I took the real war budget, about 1.2 Trillion dollars, and proportioned it to the population of my city, 42,000. We could increase our city budget by a factor of three. Can you imagine the problems we could solve in infrastructure, social well being, health, education, etc? That's the real cost of maintaining an enormous war machine. Somehow people imagine that the cost of the MIC is not real. Who is educating the people on this and do the people get any say on how their money is being spent? There is no secondary good to spending money on war. It's all money down the toilet or into the pockets of the war profiteers. We used to prosecute these bastards. Now we make them fabulously rich, and give them prestigious positions in the government.
