Mexico

Mexico City, Mar 25 (Prensa Latina) President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador today reminded the U.S. government that Mexico is an independent, free and sovereign country.

He made the statement at his morning press conference in the state of Morelos, in response to a question about comments by U.S. Northern Command chief Glen VanHerck saying that Russia has more intelligence agents in Mexico than in any other country.

AMLO has refused to put sanctions on Russia, therefore AMLO must be a Putin Puppet.

For example, members of Mexico's Congress drew a rebuke from U.S. Ambassador Ken Salazar this week when they formed a Mexico-Russia “friendship committee." The idea of Mexico drawing closer to Russia or splitting with the United States on the issue is something “that can never happen,” Salazar said.

A half dozen legislators from López Obrador’s Morena party joined almost 20 other allied Congress members Wednesday in creating the committee almost a month after Russian troops invaded Ukraine.

The group held a meeting in the Congress building with Russian Ambassador Viktor Koronelli, who told them, “For us this is a sign of support, of friendship, of solidarity in these complicated times in which my country is not just facing a special military operation in Ukraine, but a tremendous media war."

It appears as if all our Western governments are already fully committed to prolonging and intensifying the Ukraine war and the sanctions on Russia for as long as it takes — months, years, decades, as in Afghanistan and Iraq? — until Putin is removed and a new Yeltsin-type regime can be installed in Moscow…

This episode of World War 3: Season 1 has been brought to you by the Deep State “Blob,” the Democratic Party, the Five Eyes, the German Greens, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

were a big influence on me and the band I played with. Tommy spent some time in B'ham as a philosophy teacher. He sadly died years later of Alzheimer's. They were so talented, and I feel lucky to have spent some time with them.

Thanks for all your music postings!

EDIT to add: the fiddlers in the ramblers when I knew them were ...
Fiddler Bill Hicks left the band in 1981 and was replaced by Clay Buckner.

@Lookout

thanks to the link to the clip of your band, great tune!

sadly, i never got a chance to see the ramblers but i've been a fan since they mailed my station a record back in the 70's. i'll eventually post some more of their stuff when i get to it. "chuckin' the frizz" is my favorite of their albums but they have some other good ones.

have a great day!

@randtntx

you have probably heard hubert sumlin a bunch even though you haven't heard of him. hubert was the lead guitar player for howlin' wolf for a lot of years. post wolf he's been around and a featured guest on a lot of blues albums over the years.

the red clay ramblers are a great band that never rose to household name status, though a lot of bluegrass fans remember them fondly. they're worth looking up on youtube.

have a great day!
