Italian study shows ventilation can cut school COVID cases by 82% Reuters 3-22-2022

An experiment overseen by the Hume foundation think-tank compared coronavirus contagion in 10,441 classrooms in Italy's central Marche region.

COVID infections were steeply lower in the 316 classrooms that had mechanical ventilation systems, with the reduction in cases more marked according to the strength of the systems.

With applications guaranteeing a complete replacement of the air in a classroom 2.4 times in an hour, infections were reduced by 40%. They were lowered by 66.8% with four air replacements per hour and by 82.5% with six air replacements, the study showed.

The experiment was carried out between September 2021 and January this year.

The advent of evidence based medicine was a paradigm shift intended to provide a solid scientific foundation for medicine. The validity of this new paradigm, however, depends on reliable data from clinical trials, most of which are conducted by the pharmaceutical industry and reported in the names of senior academics. The release into the public domain of previously confidential pharmaceutical industry documents has given the medical community valuable insight into the degree to which industry sponsored clinical trials are misrepresented.1234 Until this problem is corrected, evidence based medicine will remain an illusion.

The pharmaceutical industry’s responsibility to its shareholders means that priority must be given to their hierarchical power structures, product loyalty, and public relations propaganda over scientific integrity. Although universities have always been elite institutions prone to influence through endowments, they have long laid claim to being guardians of truth and the moral conscience of society. But in the face of inadequate government funding, they have adopted a neo-liberal market approach, actively seeking pharmaceutical funding on commercial terms. As a result, university departments become instruments of industry: through company control of the research agenda and ghostwriting of medical journal articles and continuing medical education, academics become agents for the promotion of commercial products. When scandals involving industry-academe partnership are exposed in the mainstream media, trust in academic institutions is weakened and the vision of an open society is betrayed.

Our proposals for reforms include: liberation of regulators from drug company funding; taxation imposed on pharmaceutical companies to allow public funding of independent trials; and, perhaps most importantly, anonymised individual patient level trial data posted, along with study protocols, on suitably accessible websites so that third parties, self-nominated or commissioned by health technology agencies, could rigorously evaluate the methodology and trial results. With the necessary changes to trial consent forms, participants could require trialists to make the data freely available. The open and transparent publication of data are in keeping with our moral obligation to trial participants—real people who have been involved in risky treatment and have a right to expect that the results of their participation will be used in keeping with principles of scientific rigour. Industry concerns about privacy and intellectual property rights should not hold sway.

Ren TV links Coronavirus to US laboratories Myth Detector Jan 27, 2020 (not a typo)

More than 2000 people infected with Coronavirus, while Russian Kremlin Media claims USA fault. According to Ren TV story “Mutation, secret laboratory or provocation: where did Coronavirus start? (Мутация, тайная лаборатория или провокация: откуда пришел коронавирус) aired on 27th of January, the virus is considered as a “bacteriological weapon”, “biotechnology” and “diversion”.

Based on Nikulin’s opinions, there are several conspiracy narratives developed in the report:

They (Americans) want to exterminate Chinese people from inside;
Coronavirus was created artificially;
Spreading Coronavirus is the interest of American pharmaceutical corporations;
Spreading Coronavirus is the interest of the USA, because American laboratories are operating not only around Russia but in the surroundings of Asian countries;

In the context of conspiracy narrative, the story author names Tbilisi-based Lugar Laboratory of biological research, making an unreasonable parallel between virus found in China and Tbilisi Laboratory. Moreover, the story features the archive material from 2018, in which former Georgian Minister of Security Igor Giorgadze talks about the threats coming from the Lugar Lab.

The Lugar Center, a $161 million Pentagon-funded biolaboratory in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi, discovered coronaviruses in bats with presumably pandemic potential as early as 2014, documents have revealed.

“Based on our research, we can say that bats in Georgia are reservoirs of such bacterial and viral pathogens as Bartonella, Coronavirus, Leptospira and Brucella, which are likely to have pandemic potential”, according to Lela Urushadze. She explains: “In total we have captured 450 bats using nets and hand nets from eight different roosts. The experimental materials were collected twice in 2012 and 2014. They were transported in a field laboratory or BSL 3 Laboratory for further processing and research for presence of the above mentioned pathogens”.

According to the study, three samples tested positive for beta coronaviruses and were closely related to the MERS-beta coronavirus isolated in an infected patient in Saudi Arabia who died, as well as to MERS coronaviruses in camels in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

The Georgian coronaviruses were similar to beta coronaviruses discovered in bats in Spain, Italy, Bulgaria and to the pandemic SARS coronavirus with lethal outcome in Amsterdam, China, Florida and Colorado. The Lugar Center scientists also discovered SARS-like coronaviruses similar to those in bats in China and Thailand.

Hunter Biden Accused by Russia of Helping Finance Ukraine Biolabs Newsweek March 24, 2022

The Russian government on Thursday accused Hunter Biden's investment fund of helping bankroll the Pentagon's alleged biolabs in Ukraine.

Igor Kirillov, the head of Russia's Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defence Troops, said the investment firm Biden is connected to, Rosemont Seneca, has been implicated in financing the biological program in Ukraine, Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik reported.

"Incoming materials have allowed us to trace the scheme of interaction between U.S. government bodies and Ukraine's biolabs," Kirillov said. He added that Rosemont Seneca attracted attention due to an alleged "close relationship" between the fund and key suppliers for "Pentagon biolaboratories around the world." According to the Ministry of Defense's information, the fund has at least $2.4 billion in investment capital, Sputnik reported.

However, the U.S. government has previously investigated Sputnik as a propaganda outlet. The U.S. Department of State said in its January report that the Kremlin uses the organization, along with the state-funded Russia Today outlet, to try and spread disinformation and propaganda to audiences outside of Russia in order to "influence the public opinion and foreign policy in favor of the Kremlin's political goals."

Sputnik said U.S. officials and Western media initially denied that the biolabs existed but that a senior official in President Joe Biden's administration later confirmed their presence. Meanwhile, Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard had previously said that the U.S. funds biolabs in Ukraine, not bioweapons labs.

Hunter Biden did fund Ukraine biolabs, emails published by media suggest Russia Times March 26, 2022

Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop has reared its ugly head again, as it reportedly contains emails that appear to back up Russian military claims that the US president’s son was involved in financing military research into dangerous pathogens at biolabs in Ukraine.

Biden helped arrange millions of dollars in financing for Metabiota, a Pentagon contractor that specialized in researching pandemic-causing pathogens that could be used as bioweapons, the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper reported on Friday, citing newly obtained emails and letters from the laptop. President Joe Biden’s son and his partners in a firm called Rosemont Seneca also invested $500,000 in the contractor.

I have read multiple places after the second UN Security Counsel Russia, China, Brazil, India, and Kenya want investigations into the Biolabs. Did not find a definitive source to confirm statement.
