The Dose - 1-22-22

A few articles of interest.

United States Covid policies are effecting future relationships with Allies. The myth of America as a competent, caring country continues to erode. I am seeing the public numbers for Covid infections and deaths mentioned in more and more articles in the foreign press when discussing non-covid related issues.

Citizens in other countries do care when US military and civilians brings Covid to their communities.

US forces in Japan were a ‘Trojan tank’ for Covid 1-20-2022 Asia Times

TOKYO – As the number of daily Covid-19 infections across Japan soars from less than 100 per day at the end of last year to more than 30,000 per day at present, increasing anger is being aimed at … the US military.

While Japan and the United States may be linked at the hip when it comes to big-picture defense issues, lax measures taken at US military bases in Japan are being blamed for contributing to Japan’s sixth Covid wave.
...
The first major outbreak of Omicron took place in Okinawa – the island which houses 70% of the US military bases in Japan.

Infection numbers started soaring in the prefecture after a large cluster was reported in the US Marine Corps’ Camp Hansen in mid-December. The next loci of infection were in areas around military bases.
...
Uncomfortable SOFA

As is the case with its alliances in other parts of the world, the US military enjoys a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) in Japan, under which its personnel are exempt from domestic laws.

As those laws and regulations include entry, exit and quarantine measures, the Japanese and US governments agreed last summer that US forces in Japan would take measures “consistent” with Japan’s border control measures.

However, it has emerged that the US military canceled PCR inspections on departures from the US mainland to Japan from September to December 25 last year.

This was done without notifying the Japanese side. It appears that Tokyo did not grasp the actual situation until it was too late.
...
Dr Yasuharu Tokuda, an expert in clinical epidemiology who lives in Okinawa, wrote a scathing online essay, noting that last November, all across Japan infections had drastically diminished. He was particularly angered by the failure of the US to institute PCR tests at a time when Covid was running rampant across the US.

He wrote: “On New Year’s Day 2022, 235 US military personnel were infected in a single day. Despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of people were infected daily in the US, at that time, it was announced that the US did not conduct PCR testing or strict quarantine of soldiers moving from the US to Okinawa before and after their arrival.

“US bases in South Korea and Australia continued to conduct testing and quarantine, but it is clear that Japan and Okinawa were being neglected.”

His conclusion was harsh. “Clearly, it was the US military bases that triggered the rapid spread of the disease,” he wrote.
,,,
The situation is proving a political embarrassment for the Japan-US alliance.

The US military finally announced measures to prevent the spread of the disease – such as a curfew – on January 9.

The following week Kishida told a press conference: “We will discuss health and hygiene issues related to the stationing of US forces in Japan at the Japan-US Joint Commission under the Status of Forces Agreement.”
...
Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi also held a teleconference with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and requested that measures be strengthened, including restrictions on US military personnel from leaving their homes.

Hayashi’s suggestion is the same measure that Tamaki – an outsider in Tokyo’s corridors of power – had requested in December.

And Tamaki is not keeping quiet. He and other prefectural leaders are calling for revisions to the SOFA. Tamaki has argued repeatedly that a clause pertaining to quarantine should be added. Members of the main opposition party in the Diet have also requested such an amendment.

But revisions to SOFA are both highly sensitive and bureaucratically irksome. Despite what Kishida said about SOFA discussions during his press conference, Asia Times has learned that the Japanese bureaucracy is, in fact, not considering it.

“Revising the Status of Forces Agreement is a non-starter,” a source in Tokyo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Asia Times. “Once we start making requests, the US is going to come back with twice as many – it’s a vicious circle. We just hope that next time, the US will treat Japan with the same consideration they do South Korea, and test their soldiers before letting them come here.”

Lock downs, mandates and masks are loosing effectiveness of refocusing our attention away from questions regarding safety and effectiveness of mRNA vaccines. The question of where Covid came from and who is hiding information is popping up in the press again.

ZeroHedge was first to report their belief in a Lab Leak Theory with names in early Feb 2020 and was quickly banned from Twitter. At the time 11 reported cases were confirmed in the United Stated. This week the lab Leak Theory was brought up again in relation to e-mail communication by Fauci.

New Emails Expose Fauci's Role In Shaping Highly Influential Paper That Established COVID "Natural Origin" Narrative ZeroHedge Jan 20, 2022

New evidence has emerged that suggests that Dr. Anthony Fauci not only initiated efforts to cover up evidence pointing to a lab origin of SARS-CoV-2 but actively shaped a highly influential academic paper that excluded the possibility of a lab leak.

List articles by Larry Romanoff on Covid His working theory since March 2020 is a lab created virus from the United States.

As readers will recall from the earlier article (above), Japanese and Taiwanese epidemiologists and pharmacologists have determined that the new coronavirus could have originated in the US since that country is the only one known to have all five types – from which all others must have descended. Wuhan in China has only one of those types, rendering it in analogy as a kind of “branch” which cannot exist by itself but must have grown from a “tree”.

The Covid BioWeapon: Made in the USA, Aimed at China June 2021, The Unz Review

Question 1– What makes your theory about the origins of SARS-CoV-2 so controversial, is not that it suggests that the pathogen was created in a lab, but that it is, in fact, a bioweapon that was deliberately released by US agents prosecuting a secret war on presumed enemies of the United States. Here’s the “money quote” from your article titled, “American Pravda: George Orwell’s Virus Lab-Leak”:

“…..we are left with the strong likelihood that Covid came from a laboratory along with a good possibility that it was designed as a bioweapon, yet we lack serious indications that any lab-leak occurred. So if the original Wuhan outbreak was due to the deployment of a powerful bioweapon but not one that had accidentally leaked from any lab, then surely China was the intended target, the victim rather than the perpetrator….

Unjabbed against Covid shouldn’t be discriminated, Amnesty warns EU state

Amnesty International has issued a statement calling on Italy to change its strict anti-Covid-19 policies to prevent possible discrimination against unvaccinated people after a recent government decree.
...
Earlier this month, the Italian government declared the Covid-19 vaccination mandatory for everyone over the age of 50. The jab is also required for access to public transportation and a range of other services. Italy was one of the few European countries to take such measures, aiming to ease pressure on the health services and reduce possible fatalities.

Before that, Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s government had made vaccination mandatory for teachers and health workers, and all employees were obliged to be vaccinated or provide negative Covid-19 test results in order to access their workplace. Refusal would lead to suspension from work without pay.

Inmates sue Arkansas doc, jail after unknowingly taking dangerous doses of ivermectin

Detainees at an Arkansas jail were given ivermectin without their knowledge or consent, a new lawsuit alleges. As early as November 2020, Dr. Robert Karas, the jail’s doctor, told inmates who had contracted COVID that he was giving them a cocktail of vitamins, antibiotics, and steroids when in fact he was administering dangerously high doses of the dewormer.

from these COVID infected inmates which were given IVM. The side effects mentioned do suggest very high doses. And I agree there should have been informed consent, just like with the risk and benefits of vaccination. I wonder if your outrage would be the same if they were given an experimental vaccine without consent?

There are undeniable studies out now which definitively prove IVM is an effective treatment. Lots of lives could have been saved.

Civil Liberties and Vaccine Mandates: Here’s Our Take

Far from compromising civil liberties, vaccine mandates actually further them. They protect the most vulnerable among us, including people with disabilities and fragile immune systems, children too young to be vaccinated, and communities of color hit hard by the disease.

Do vaccine mandates violate civil liberties? Some who have refused vaccination claim as much.

We disagree.

At the ACLU, we are not shy about defending civil liberties, even when they are very unpopular. But we see no civil liberties problem with requiring Covid-19 vaccines in most circumstances.

While the permissibility of requiring vaccines for particular diseases depends on several factors, when it comes to Covid-19, all considerations point in the same direction. The disease is highly transmissible, serious and often lethal; the vaccines are safe and effective; and crucially there is no equally effective alternative available to protect public health.
...
Vaccines are a justifiable intrusion on autonomy and bodily integrity. That may sound ominous, because we all have the fundamental right to bodily integrity and to make our own health care decisions. But these rights are not absolute. They do not include the right to inflict harm on others.
...
Even though the F.D.A. and independent medical experts have found Covid-19 vaccines to be extremely safe and highly effective, a sizable portion of the eligible population has chosen not to be vaccinated. In this context, Covid-19 vaccine mandates — much like mask mandates — are public health measures necessary to protect people from severe illness and death. They are therefore permissible in many settings where the unvaccinated pose a risk to others, including schools and universities, hospitals, restaurants and bars, workplaces and businesses open to the public.

- Due to the large numbers of spontaneous adverse event reports received for the product, the MAH has prioritised the processing of serious cases, in order to meet expedited regulatory reporting timelines and ensure these reports are available for signal detection and evaluation activity. The increased volume of reports has not impacted case processing for serious reports, and compliance metrics continue to be monitored weekly with prompt action taken as needed to maintain compliance with expedited reporting obligations

- As shown in Figure 1, the System Organ Classes (SOCs) that contained the greatest number (≥2%) of events, in the overall dataset, were General disorders and administration site conditions (51,335 AEs), Nervous system disorders (25,957), Musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders (17,283), Gastrointestinal disorders (14,096), Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders (8,476), Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders (8,848), Infections and infestations (4,610), Injury, poisoning and procedural complications (5,590), and Investigations (3,693).

I’m having problems with copy and paste so I’ll just say that if you’re interested in seeing the adverse effects you can browse this yourself. We know that Maddie DeGrey was seriously injured during the trial but her case wasn’t followed up except that Pfizer reported her injuries as gastrointestinal pain when it was much more serious and she needs a feeding tube and has numerous problems. The most heinous thing about her case is lack of concern from the health agencies.

Many people got Guilline Barre (sp) from the swine flu shot and at 50 deaths it was shutdown. As we know VAERS is only for an early warning sign that something is going wrong and from the number of deaths that have been reported it’s obvious that there is something dangerously wrong with the vaccines for Covid. That we still aren’t being told about this but told that they are totally safe should concern everyone regardless if they are pro or against getting one. There has been enough information reported to it that all of us should be asking about what the goals are.

@snoopydawg This would not have happened if Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency had not been pushing for the Pfizer data.

Covid-19 vaccines and treatments: we must have raw data, now Jan 19. 2022

Underlying data for covid-19 therapeutics are similarly hard to find. Published reports of Regeneron’s phase III trial of its monoclonal antibody therapy REGEN-COV flatly state that participant level data will not be made available to others.21 Should the drug be approved (and not just emergency authorised), sharing “will be considered.” For remdesivir, the US National Institutes of Health, which funded the trial, created a new portal to share data (https://accessclinicaldata.niaid.nih.gov/), but the dataset on offer is limited. An accompanying document explains: “The longitudinal data set only contains a small subset of the protocol and statistical analysis plan objectives.”

We are left with publications but no access to the underlying data on reasonable request. This is worrying for trial participants, researchers, clinicians, journal editors, policy makers, and the public. The journals that have published these primary studies may argue that they faced an awkward dilemma, caught between making the summary findings available quickly and upholding the best ethical values that support timely access to underlying data. In our view, there is no dilemma; the anonymised individual participant data from clinical trials must be made available for independent scrutiny.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on the project. Unfortunately worst concerns are being validated.

by the NIH for people that originally contract SARS-CoV-2?

Answer: Sweet Fuck All. Stay at home, isolate. If conditions get worse to the point you can't breath and your O2 level drops below 85-90% go to a hospital that has an ICU for evaluation. If you are lucky they will just administer O2. But gawd help you if they start to administer "Run, death is near" (as Fauci's personal favourite, Remdesivir, is affectionately known by thousands of nurses throughout the country).

Maybe you should reconsider ivermectin for humans? In case you didn't know this, over 4 1/2 billion doses have been given to people around the world proving it's safety. Would you also refuse penicillin given for a bacterial infection in a horses leg? After all they give these horse shots to other mammals as well - cows, sheep, pigs.

Perhaps you didn't know that humans are also mammals? Here's how to check: (you may want to skip the neocortex - that's the part of the brain that figures out how to make and use horse de-wormer, and the three middle ear bones - that can be messy without the right tools.)

Mammals (from Latin mamma, 'breast') are a group of vertebrate animals constituting the class Mammalia ( / məˈmeɪliə / ), and characterized by the presence of mammary glands which in females produce milk for feeding (nursing) their young, a neocortex (a region of the brain), fur or hair, and three middle ear bones.

U.S. Stockpiled 63 Million Now-Useless Doses of Hydroxychloroquine

The government started stockpiling donated supplies of the drug in late March after President Trump touted it as "very encouraging" and "very powerful" and a "game-changer," despite no proof that it benefited COVID-19 patients.

In revoking its emergency use authorization of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19, the FDA said Monday that there was "no reason to believe" it was effective against the new coronavirus, and that it increased the risk of heart problems and other side effects, CNN reported.

World’s Second Largest Hydroxychloroquine Plant in Taiwan Blows Up
...
News sources in Taiwan (thanks to Dr. Meryl Nass for breaking this story here in the U.S.) are reporting that the world’s second largest supplier of raw materials to make HCQ blew up earlier this week, which will most certainly put a strain on the world’s supply of HCQ.
...

...
But a final batch of 1,118kg of hydroxychloroquine sulfate, the equivalent of about 5m doses, arrived in Melbourne airport on 14 August last year, leading to a standoff between the billionaire and the Therapeutic Goods Administration over who should have to deal with it.
...
In April this year the hydroxychloroquine was sent for destruction, Guardian Australia understands. It is also understood that regulations on the handling of medicines prevented the freight handler from either selling or donating the hydroxychloroquine elsewhere.

“No one—including incarcerated individuals—should be deceived and subject to medical experimentation...” Gary Sullivan, legal director of the ACLU of Arkansas, said in a statement.

No one - unless it's the global population and Big Pharma can profit, I guess. Then it must be OK.

Those do seem like somewhat high doses. But note that that 'X number of times the approved dose' that the article cites as being excessive is what is recommended for an altogether different condition - which may or may not bear any relation to what is really indicated for dealing with an active Covid infection.

FWIW - I (at a little on the north side of 100K) have taken 24Mg in three days with no adverse effects at all.

Covid aside, there's this:

Ivermectin has a good safety profile since onlyin-vivo-dnTCF-sensitive cancer xenografts are responsive to Ivermectin treatment, and we have not detected side effects in Ivermectin-treated mice at the doses used. Whereas it remains likely that higher doses may begin to show non-specific toxicity, previous work has shown that side effects from systemic treatments with clinically relevant doses in humans are rare (Yang, 2012), that birth defects were not observed after exposure of pregnant mothers (Pacquéet al, 1990) and that this drug does not cross the blood–brain barrier (Kokozet al, 1999). Similarly, only dogs with mutantABCB1 (MDR1) alleles leading to a broken blood–brain barrier show Ivermectin neurotoxicity (Mealeyet al, 2001; Orzechowskiet al, 2012).

Oral Ivermectin is already used by millions of people to combat multiple parasite infections, notably through the Mectizan donation program against river blindness (Thylefors, 2008). Given our present data, this drug could therefore be additionally used as a WNT-TCF blocker against different diseases, including multiple WNT-TCF-dependent human cancer types. In this case, this will likely involve a combinatorial approach with standard chemotherapeutics as debulking agents. Indications may include treatment for incurable β-CATENIN/TCF-dependent advanced and metastatic human tumors of the lung, colon, endometrium, and other organs. Ivermectin, Selamectin, or related macrocyclic lactones could also serve as topical agents for WNT-TCF-dependent skin lesions and tumors such as basal cell carcinomas. Moreover, they might also be useful as routine prophylactic agents, for instance against nascent TCF-dependent intestinal tumors in patients with familial polyposis and against nascent sporadic colon tumors in the general aging population. Formulations of Ivermectin and other hydrophobic macrocyclic lactones with agents that enhance tissue penetration may improve their efficacy.

The river blindness drug Ivermectin and related macrocyclic lactones inhibit WNT-TCF pathway responses in human cancer (August, 2014)

@jbob of actual contracts to provide drugs to a facility, plus one which includes financial benefits of such services. The profitability is increased by legal methods to purchase the same drugs at different price. This would be considered an institutional pharmacy, purchasing power in between hospital and retail. For example (from memory of cost about 20 years ago) bottle 100 acetaminophen (Tylenol) retail $2, institutional $0.75 and hospital $0.01. Patient would purchase bottle from retail and by the script in institutional (may be 30 pills repackaged) and individual dose in hospital.

The scope of the lawsuit is disturbing. At minimum it would effect medication administration in any medical facility and dispensary in the country.

This argument is the one I find most concerning.

“It is both customary and legally required in all medical settings, both within Arkansas and beyond, that patients be given complete, accurate, and truthful information to enable them to make an informed decision as to whether to proceed with medical treatments,”

When was the last time in an emergency room, hospital or school nurse were you required to acknowledge understanding the drug might be given for a non FDA approved use and outside normal dosing range for the FDA approved indication. If a court ruled in favor of informed consent for any treatment without FDA approved use or enrollment in a research project it could dramatically change medicine in the USA.

Wonder if the blanket permission to participate or have your medical included in a research project on many new patient forms would still be valid.

A significant number of scripts are dispensed for off label use. Numerous pain therapies are off label. The opioid crisis was created by dispensing drugs with FDA approved use instead of off label alternatives. Also, wonder if this is a backdoor path to kill the supplement industry or at least not allow use in a medical facility.

The widespread misuse of the drug has led to spikes in demand, and, according to a new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association, a surge in insurance reimbursements, too. Despite the fact that they should be incentivized not to cover ineffective treatments, private health insurers are spending around $130 million a year, the study’s authors estimate.

Each segment of health care is incentivized for profit in different manners, sometimes it benefits the patient and sometimes not. Insurance companies paying the $130 million are increasing profit if the treatment prevents hospitalizations and long term medical complications.

The daily dose reported appears to be in the 0.166 to 0.3mg/kg range, within recommended dose of some FDA approved indication. It is the frequency of dosing would be in dispute. When used for parasite control dosing may be spaced to avoid complications due to fast die off of parasite or lifecycle to kill those hatched from eggs before they start reproducing.

I’m impressed with the Rona virus that can tell time and knows that anyone exposed to it before a certain time will not get infected until that time period is up. It’s so smart it also knows that when a person removes their mask to do certain activities it’s not supposed to infect them.

People have to social distance and wear masks when they walk through the airport, but then they are packed close together when they board the plane and can even take the masks off to eat and drink. Tell me how any of this makes sense?

In fact about time for another 3 day water fast...probably next month. Already did a January fast. What the Dr. added to my understanding was using Vitamins (particularly the water soluble C, B complex and so on) to augment the fast. I did use vitamins in my earliest iterations of longer term fasts, but have not in awhile. Plan to resume next month.
