BUT, he does REAL journalism about important issues between slamming other journalists for also slamming other journalists.
I thought it was meant to be self-serving. It comes across as hypocritical bs.
I have ignored him thus far, and will continue to do so.
I hope he stops the bs, and does some straight reporting about the issues he deems important and rises a notch above what he so disdains in others.

they're all wasting our time while mining personal fame and fortune. Name one of these self proclaimed purveyors of truth who you trusted in the past 10-30 years who still has your attention, trust, and respect.
I can't. There are none. Rush created the industry to farm the rubes and it has only grown in sophistication and toxicity while spreading like herpes through the entire spectrum of mainline political thought in the US. I came to distrust every American news organization in the mid-'90S. It's been obvious to me that none of these folks have much useful to say except, maybe, gaining my occasional grudging and highly suspicious agreement. That I might agree with or gain some useful knowledge, always suspect, isn't enough for me to waste my time watching which only benefits the talking head. I don't.
It's at this point I hear my very good friend say, "But how do you get the news?" I usually reply, "Generally, I don't but how are you certain that you are?" The answer is always the same. They watch XXXXXX which is what they tend to agree with. My point exactly. They don't know.

There were problems with running a campaign of Joy while committing a genocide? Who could have guessed?
Anybody who describes this affair as leftist media "drama", and thus worthy of ignoring, is being disingenuous. There's no drama, and there's no feud. There was a McCarthyite smear campaign that got increasingly unhinged, no doubt abetted by people who refused to call it out.
The last part of Aaron's tweet is where I have a real issue with all this. A lot of people who, were this say MSNBC and Maddow claiming Aaron was paid by Russia, would have rushed in to call this out have been silent or dismissive of TYT's smear. A lot of these people have personal and professional relationships with TYT/Chenk and it's hard to feel like that's not clouding their takes on this.
For instance, I watched Kyle Kulinski's piece on this and he seems to agree with 95% of what Jimmy and Aaron are saying. But he also kind of brushes it aside as "Chenk always has had some cringey takes" and "I thought the claims were so absurd, there was no need to comment on them." I'm sorry, that's a bullshit take.
Yes, there is some stupid drama wrapped up in all this. Yes, there are two blowhard factions neither of whom will let the bullshit drop. But I also feel there's some people who are using the drama as a convenient excuse to not have to deal with some hard facts about friends and business associates too. the left needs red baiting, Russiagating and lying about Siria as much as they need this drama.

Jordan is great. I would have never found him if not for Jimmy having him on his show. Wouldn't have found Aaron or Anya either. Nor Max or Ben. Jimmy has given a broader platform to so many independent journalists.
I hated to see this skirmish go on so long. But I think Jimmy was right on. When Ana hinted at blackmail Jimmy needed to show how to defend yourself. I expect others will follow his lead.
