OT WE 29 APR 26 ~ Nine Inch Nails
Just scratching the surface here. Art and I have a special relationship. Enjoyed a couple hours absorbing
collections in the Currier Museum in Manchester NH. Some amazing displays presented. A couple of
interactive screens reacting to motion with light and sound. Better than a psychedelic trip! Especially enjoyed
the furniture and sculptures. The Monet, Picasso, O’Keeffe and Hopper pieces were pretty cool as well.
Followed-up by tours of two Frank Lloyd Wright designed houses in town from the 50's in original condition.
Strong horizontal lines. Interplay of formed concrete blocks with glass mixing interior and exterior spaces.
Most of our group consisted of international architects so the observations and questions for the guides were
enlightening. I have studied his legacy enough to know the impracticalities of the structures for actual human
habitation in juxtaposition to how the structures related to the drawing board.

Another Wednesday in purgatory. Trying to figure out the
moves made by UAE abandoning OPEC. Some pundits are
claiming a 'win' for Trump, but that is a stretch. The goal is to release the chains
on their output quotas. At the same time, they are demanding a currency boost
of US$ (to pay US debt) while floating the idea of switching to yuan for payment of oil revenues.
It's all too complicated for my simple mind. What are your discoveries today?

Very familiar with both the band (Trent Reznor, anyone?), and now, that fascinating sculpture.
In fact, if you've visited 9" Nails' website recently, there are designs on there very close to imitating that piece. As far as Current Events, I skim 'em. Nothing exciting about the 12th century, nor the fact that the crappiest/slimiest members of Homo Sapiens always end up on top of the pyramid of power. Specie's flaw. Rec'd!!

The video is very similar to one of the interactive
displays at the Currier museum. You can stand in front of a 5' x 10' display
with a 'wallpaper' of numbers and the cameras pick-up your image and highlight
them, juxtaposed upon the little numbers. Almost like a life-sized Etch-A-Sketch!

We finally got some significant rain. Yesterday 1.5" and last night another 0.75". Now comes the rush to control all the growth here in the humid subtropical deciduous forests...already have limbs hanging down over the roadway, and grass jumping.
