This tie of neoliberalism to fascism and political repression comes courtesy of Italian fascist Benito Mussolini. Mr. Mussolini defined fascism, following from Giovanni Gentile, as ‘as merger of corporate and state power.’ The Patriot Act gives the Federal government— not just the FBI as is generally reported, access to all of the information being gathered by ISPs (Internet Service Providers) and social media platforms. Whatever else it is, social media is an information warehouse for political repression. And the tie of state to corporate power defines the relationship as fascism.
While Mussolini’s definition may read as too generic and bloodless to be of much value, two points. The 1994 Crime Bill that Mr. Biden authored produced massive political violence against mostly poor people. Given racial composition by class, through the identitarian lens favored by neoliberal Democrats, the Crime Bill makes Mr. Biden one of the most ardent racists of the twentieth century. And while the merger of corporate and state power might read like a definition of ordinary industrial policy, it gives motive to a preponderance of the Nazi’s military expansionism.

Bill Gates is my favorite Doctor of All Knowledge (DOAK) both known and unknown. He actually calculated how much money he can make from building Solar Wind sails and selling them as "sustainable" power to spin the planet faster. All the lightweights and other useless eaters will be cast off into space as earth's rotational impetus exceeds earth's gravitational attraction. Only those secure bound to Terra Firma by their chains will remain planetary to thus supports the whims of their Betters (aka Bettahs).

The corporations will invest ‘contribute’ $3 billion over the next ten years in Tanzania, Ghana and Ethiopia; more sub-Saharan nations are apparently lining up to be ‘helped’ by this quasi-clone of Bill Gates’ Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), which spawned a site called Agra-watch which discovered that the Gates Foundation bought 500,000 shares of Monsanto while touting their grand zombie-seeds. But like AGRA, this one is business profiteering that will cause more poverty, disease, dependence on seed purchase from Monsanto and others every year, herbicide and pesticide use increase, and water and land lost to multinationals.

While US mainstream media act as stenographers to the makers of genetically modified foods as virtual miracles in solving the world’s hunger crisis, and point to increased yields from the little DNA traits they’ve spliced into plant (and now salmon and mosquitoes, egad), the evidence shows something quite different.

The Round-up Ready crops soon developed a tolerance to Round-up causing a new generation of ‘superweeds’…so that more and stronger herbicides were required to kill weeds. But even those haven’t solved the problem, of course, and poison soil and water and beneficial soil microbes. The geniuses at Dow Chemical are proposing creating Agent Orange constituent 2, 4-D resistant strains for which the Obama administration is fast-tracking permits. Its use will trigger the need for the supremely potent toxic herbicide use. Thanks, Prez.

The gen-modified strains of Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) corn turn the corn kernels into little pesticide producing machines, and there seems to be evidence that contrary to industry claims, it’s showing up in human blood and creating all sort of possible havoc. Bt-modified cotton crops yields are dropping significantly, especially in India. Farmers there were massively hoodwinked into the GM programs, can’t afford to get out of it, and ruined farmers have even been committing suicide over their resultant indebtedness; industry flaks deny the fact, of course.

Thank you for your very kind and encouraging words! I’ve missed blogging. The problem is time. I have a full-time job I like, and one has to acknowledge family and friends occasionally since I need and appreciate their company and support. Since about the time I lapsed from publishing on this blog I have been doing research and some writing for Food Sovereignty Ghana, http://foodsovereigntyghana.org/

You can read some of my work in the articles on their website. Pretty much all of the articles are collaborative. So I can’t claim credit for any one, But my work has been part of quite a few of them. They are trying to fight the great GMO con in Ghana, which is a target country. They have managed to focus a lot of attention on the subject particularly the Plant Breeders Bill, a UPOV law currently before Ghana’s Parliament. They have presented such strong arguments and aroused such a lot of popular sentiment, that Vandana Shiva is even visiting Ghana soon, June 8-10, visiting 3 African countries.

Gates 'failing green revolution in Africa'

"....The AGRA package, he notes, has been “imposed with a heavy hand,” with the Rwandan Government even “reportedly banning cultivation of some staple crops in some areas.” Although opposition from Rwandan farmers forced the government to relax some crop restrictions and allow more diversity, maize and other commodity crops remain heavily subsidized and supported.

Sundaram wrote: “The AGRA model imposed on previously relatively diverse Rwanda farming almost certainly undermined its more nutritious and sustainable traditional agricultural cropping patterns." He said “hidden hunger” involving micronutrient deficiencies “is best addressed by dietary diversity, supported by crop diversity in farming, rather than the Green Revolution’s exclusive focus on raising caloric intake.”

AGRA’s Kalibata sees it differently: “The bottom line is, people need to meet their caloric needs,” she said in a July discussion about Covid-19 and the hunger crisis. Until their caloric needs are met, Kalibata said, “it’s a luxury” for starving people to think about dietary diversity.

The debate over the merits of starchy commodity crops and calories versus more nutrition diverse and locally controlled cropping systems is headed for a showdown at the UN World Food Summit in 2021.

Hundreds of groups are on record opposing Kalibata’s appointment. In a letter to the UN Secretary-General, 174 civil society organizations and farmer groups from 83 countries called for the appointment to be revoked. Given AGRA’s history, they said, it will “result in another forum that advances the interests of agribusiness at the expense of farmers and our planet.”
