Just what is Bernie saying/doing now?

I don't understand this:

Is he doing it so he can leverage his delegates to get concessions from Biden? Should I post the article again on When Bernie endorses Biden? He got no actual concessions from Hillary last time which she proved to me when she chose Tim F. Kaine.

- What's the point of this? My hope is gone. Medicare for all is gone. We are just going to keep dying.

- you can still vote for him in the primary, and the delegates he wins there will give him a bit of leverage in the future. Basically he's saying, "you can still vote for me in the primary to help shape the party, but you should still vote for whoever the nominee will be (Biden).

This ain't going to work with Biden this time!

- I mean if you WANT another Republican supreme court justice, then... damn that's wild.
- Biden is a big reason we have Clarence Thomas and he voted to confirm and recently praised fucking SCALIA I do not trust him anywhere near the court.

There are lots of great responses to this tweet.

- Bullshit. Wast of time doing that.

- Same. I dont vote for rapists just because they're Democrat.

that the DNC will be deciding who they will nominate at the convention. We all know it won't be Biden. By that time he'll be wearing his name tag upside down so he can remember his name if someone calls it out.

Anyone want to place a bet? I'm giving odds 2 to 1 at this time.

@CB

If they decide to skip Biden and go with Cuomo or dawg forbid Herheinous he will have some leverage. You know what would give him even more leverage? Staying in the damn race.

This is just as bad as Biden's saying he would only be a one term president. Both are lame duck positions.

Here are a few more tweets.

They’re about to suddenly discover Biden has dementia

But remember Joe told us to.

Countdown till Alyssa Milano starts tweeting to beg for Sanders supporters to hop over to Biden

They want us to "fall in line", but I can't do that with someone who's policies have put us here to begun with. Joe Biden has always been a part of the problem. And I'm not compromising anymore.

@snoopydawg to win on the first ballot, he will be the nominee. It looks like he will have enough delegates, so he would have to withdraw to open up the convention. The leadership of the Democratic Party is completely screwed up so they could change the rules, but that might be a bridge too far.

when 23 states have not even voted yet in this primary? Bernie is 300 delegates behind Joe right now. But then I don't think it matters how many people vote for Bernie when they can count the votes anyway they want? And yes Bernie got robbed last time when he won certain states, but at the convention they were given to Hillary. Virginia is one of them.

As I said in another essay here states reported that Biden won the day before people even voted. Just like what happened in California when the media called it for Hillary the day before.

@snoopydawg campaign in earnest until after super Tuesday. He got handed that win on a silver platter. We all said the DNC was going to rig it. Outrage at Bernie I think is misplaced. We all criticize from a distance while Sanders is actually engaged in mosh pit politics.

I think on super Tuesday he had a good idea how this would play out. His ideas are still good, will still be popular, and the neolibtards still need the measly 30% of the vote we're part of. How bad? I guess we'll know for sure if there is another purge over at koskid land. Right now It looks like gloating and retribution.

Good luck with that.

And he's an accused rapist. These issues are why so many people will never vote for Biden. He's the reason why many people are so desperate today. Why would you give your permission for him to do even more damage to your life?

Neera is sweetly asking for us to bury the bone and unify behind Biden. I told her that millions of us warned her that if she kept on being a bitch towards us and Bernie that there's not a chance in hell that we would. She didn't listen. I'm sure she is listening now though.

Ruby just had to spike the ball.

while engaging in 3 email chats at once. Instead of dropping this in the thread, I sent it to an email, looked like I had changed the subject! Multi-tasking! Sucks!
So, Nick Brana was on TJDS, said, "I never thought I would see a candidate drop out of a race when his opponent had been accused of raping a woman."
But Bernie did.
I do not think Bernie was obligated to mention it. I just think he should have campaigned, let the rape accusation catch fire, and take Biden down.
It would have been effortless. As it stands, the accusation will be all the Republicans talk about, and Bernie will gain nothing from it, and likely disappoint a lot of women in the process.

@on the cusp have caught fire? There would have been no campaigning anyway until at least late May had he stayed in, and who would have carried that charge if it was too dicey for the candidate (and not in his nature at all to raise himself). And the MSM hasn't covered it -- just as they have largely not covered Joe's mental decline. They have the info, but are not touching it. So where would the allegations get traction? And how much would they be dismissed by most as a desperate last-minute card played by a losing candidate?

It does sound odd the way the JD guest put things, but there you are. Unusual circumstances. A MSM with a clear pro-Biden bias. One of the greatest political comebacks in primary history. A plague essentially freezing and ending the primary contest.

I don't think Bernie did the wrong thing by withdrawing, and after SupTues and JrTues there was no way to climb back ahead.

I doubt his absence is of a concerning or ominous nature, probably more like protecting himself and others, or at least I hope so.

@Wally comment here again. I suspected this was about the depressing political outcome, nothing else.

Turns out I was a bit more emotionally invested in the results than I had thought, judging by my angry reaction here at the humble hacienda as the SupTues results came in. But 24 hrs later, having gotten most of that out of my system, and after cleaning up some broken glass in the main room, I was back to my usual, cheerful, playful self. My two housemates have forgiven me or have laughed it off as a one-night instance of temporary insanity, and we are back to my explaining to them the byzantine rules of American electoral politics, and my boring them with more tales of Bigfoot in the woods, which they also find amusing.

Hope to see you here more often as we go on. Who knows what will happen next.

There's a subtle distinction - which apparently is completely lost on the obscenely corrupt New York political machine - between "suspended" (potentially resumable at some later time) and "withdrawn" (which Sanders has explicitly NOT done).

Kos wrote another anti Bernie scree and bitched about everyone who won't vote for ByeDone because of the Supreme Court appointment to replace Ginsberg. Huge, huge pie fight with the most comments saying screw anyone who won't support ByeDone. A few Russian comments of course, but I nominate this one for being the dumbest because it totally misses the reason Trump beat Hillary in the first place.

Right on, Markos. Agreed, 100%. Anyone—blue, green, or otherwise—who can’t see that Biden is far, far more progressive than Trump is no progressive at all.

Meanwhile Trump has said he'd have the government pick up the tab for uninsured people who get COVID while ByeDone is still against MFA.

Trump is a grade A asshole, but so far he hasn't ruined our lives as much as ByeDone has. So far only...

DCOTN is dumbest comment of the night.

@snoopydawg the party seems to be the most important thing in recent races. The whole DNC party uber alles thing is really disturbing. If the DNC thought what they really only needed was a figure head, they sure have the right candidate.

The republicans cast off the party to follow a leader. The democrats cast off the party to follow an unelected committee.

in answering your question.

I had set up a weekly contribution to Bernie's campaign, which Act Blue claimed to expire at the time of the convention. Now, the convention's been moved back, and my candidate is no longer viable for the nomination. So, will Bernie/Act Blue cancel my weekly donations? Or will they stretch them out as long as possible, hand them over to the DNC? By continuing to assemble delegates, does that still entitle Bernie to my donations?

I don't have answers, but may have to ask questions and possibly take action.

@jorogo Here's how I did it.

If you can, find an actblue email thanking you for your donation. Then follow the instructions on the bottom.

(I did this right after ST so I don't recall the exact details)
