On 4/1, in response to my statement that I just wanted to bang on the drum all day, ggersh posted the long version of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. This started me thinking, well, why not?

ya gotta love drums! :)

~~Drums are hard to beat.~~ Oops, nevermind. Has to be the most primeval instrument, the way it tickles the lizard brain within. I love them in all manner and form. I have long loved all the Japanese drumming vids. Awesome drumming. A best friend in 74 in Hunt. Bch. (our gang had its own rock band) now is ocdrummingschool there in Org. Co. Keith later did national tours with an opening act band. I carried his drums. LOL Just to be able to stand right next to them during gigs.

After Krupa and Rich, there were so many good drummers in rock... Baker, Bonham, Mitchell, and Moon were my favorite earlier period guys. Mick Fleetwood was actually very good too. Might have been the first African Talking Drum through an echoplex I ever heard. WOW! Then came Carl Palmer. I probably posted this here before... I was pretty close for this one.

drummers, and, of course, the Kreutzman-Hart tag team a great many times from as close as I could get. For a while they had a custom cage that was drums everywhere in 3 dimensions, and when they hit their stride it was unbelievable.

Helping struggling kids by using drums

Davidson River School which is an alternative school for struggling students in Brevard NC has had a taiko drum group which has proved to be a great vehicle for these kids to channel their energy into a positive activity.

These Swiss guys are amazing... their stick handling is incredible... plus they have the coolest hats. They must get their timing from eating swiss watches. There was a vid of them with some lighted sticks I can't find...
