Friday night photos - OT

Hope I am not stepping on any toes here... but since I don't see anything up yet... I'll toss a few pix up but can't guarantee how much I can be around to be a good host.

An immature American Redstart visited the bath but I missed a good shot. Just a docushot.

Thanks for hosting tonight. I haven't taken a photo in ages, but fall is starting and I know where I'm going to get fall photos again. I love Aspens in all seasons, but especially in the fall.

Yes some of the cottonwoods have started turning as are the maples. This week was just absolutely perfect weatherwize but tomorrow it's turning cold and raining. The whole west part of the country is getting an Arctic blast. Snow in Montana and in our mountains. Hopefully it won't rain too hard and hurt the leaves before I get there.

The giraffes are such graceful animals. Enjoy the beauty and delicacy of Aspens in Autumn.

It's been awhile since you've been here. Are you still visiting with your mom and if so when do you return home? You will be going home to spring yes? Hope your mom is doing well?

Nice shot of the flowers.

and will be back home in two weeks, as Spring will make its entrance. My mom is thankfully fully recovered, and I expect to feel more settled once I am back in the comfort of home.

to be a bit scarce myself (lately), but, try to lurk as much as possible. And, was beginning to get concerned that either you, or, possibly your Mom (under the circumstances--her fall) weren't doing very well.

Anyhoo, very happy to hear that you're both fine. Pleasantry If I don't see you again soon, have a nice and safe trip home.

Have a lovely weekend.

to see you again, Mollie. I do miss our connection. Being with my mom through these changes have been challenging for both, but we've made it through pretty well.

I see that you and Mr. M and Katie are excitingly close to living your vision for the future. I trust that the move will be satisfying to you in many ways, and hopefully inspiring as well. I look forward to hearing about your experiences as you encounter them. Always wishing you the best.

@janis b

the past month has seen several changes to our plans, so, we're still making some decisions. (Believe it or not, Hurricane Dorian even entered into the mix, cancelling one plan we had.)

At any rate, we're very much looking forward to the new phase of life that we're about to embark upon. And, while I've been absent, Mr M and I celebrated our 42nd Wedding Anniversary. I must say--I am the 'lucky one.' Smile

Take care.

and, for hosting this evening.

Of course, as one of the few 'non-photographers' here, I rarely have anything much to contribute to this thread. Having said that, here's a photo from a Community blog of a pier in our neighborhood, in what is now our primary residence, until we leave for SA--the Eastern Shore of Talibama (as Joe would say). Wink

Again, thanks for this thread. Even if I don't always get to drop by and comment, absolutely luv your bird photos. After all, I'm a 'Cockatiel Mom,' as well as a dog lover!

in an adjoining county (for now).

Hey, so long as we don't talk politics with most folks around here, they're generally quite pleasant and accommodating. Now, one thing we do have in common with many of them, because I lived on the Eastern Shore for a couple of years as a kid--enthusiasm for College football. Smile Both 'Bama and Auburn. (But, we don't fall in the flat-out 'fanatic' category, as some folks down here do.)

Having said that, I cried when (Paul) Bear Bryant passed away, and watched his funeral from Fairbanks, Alaska. But, gotta understand - The Bear was 'an institution' in that State. Without a doubt, one of the most beloved, revered, and respected figures that it's ever produced.

As I recall, thousands and thousands of people lined the Interstate and overpasses to honor him and his funeral procession.

And, just like it was yesterday, remember seeing Joe Namath quarterbacking for 'Bama at (today's) Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile (when I was a kid). Hey, sorry--like Mr M would say, TMI. Biggrin

Have a nice weekend.
