Second Update: DNC States Tulsi Did Not Get 3rd Qualifying Poll

Second Update:

The DNC has said they are only counting the ABC/Washington Post results for All responders, and therefore Tulsi only got 1%, and that does not count as a qualifying poll.

Very convenient for them.

Edit to add source: here

--------------

Update to the original post below:

CBS/YouGov came out with their 4 early state polls, and Tulsi scores 1% in all of them: New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina, and Nevada.

Still, she should have 3 qualifying polls per the report below. Only 1 more needed for the 4th debates!

---------------

Today, the Washington Post in conjunction with ABC came out with a national poll showing Tulsi at 2%:

ABC/Washington Post Poll

The trick is this--ABC News is reporting Tulsi at 1% at this poll, which is true if you include All poll responders. Washington Post is reporting Tulsi at 2% for the *same poll*, which is true if you include only Registered Voter responders. Will the DNC split hairs and allow this as a qualifying poll for Tulsi? (Let me guess . . .)

Tomorrow, my understanding is that CBS/YouGov, another qualifying pollster, will release polls for all the early states. Tulsi already has a CBS/YouGov qualifying poll from July for New Hampshire at 2% (and if anything, she will likely increase her percentage there), so another one from that pollster in that state won't help her. However, Tulsi has shown some strength recently in Iowa in non-qualifying polls, and has potential to reach 2% there. If so, this would get her a 4th qualifying poll assuming the Washington Post poll stands above. We'll see.

Stay tuned!!!

. . . in so many ways. Deflects from Bernie now being ahead or in statistical tie in that poll with Biden in 3 of the 4 early primary states. WARren has reached her ceiling given her limited lily white professional class base.

@Wally @Wally EW's ability to broaden her base sufficiently to win. Apparently, according to one analysis I saw today, she is getting more of Kamala's defecting supporters than other candidates. Don't know how that breaks down as to IdPol categories.

And, iirc, a poll last week by Morning Consort asked about 2d choices. For those choosing Biden as their first pick, more chose Sanders (!) as their second.

Even more interesting from that same survey: the leading #2 pick for those selecting Bernie as their #1 candidate -- Biden. That's right. Biden is the 2d choice of more Bernie supporters. Go figure.

Lots of confused people out there apparently.

@wokkamile I saw that 34% of Warren voters supported her primarily because she has a vagina, whereas only 3% chose Sanders for havingca penis.
Expect the same mind numbingly shallow reasoning to be why Kamala voters shift to Warren.

@snoopydawg I wondered how the DNC would rig the nomination without counting superdelegates early. They've had almost 3 years to plot and scheme. First, manipulate the polls, then do a delegate estimation based on these questionable polls. Easy as 1-2-3. The media outlets are all on board and will report the desired results ad nauseam.

that she was running. And it gets worse. She did that and then continued giving speeches to the banks which should have disqualified her from running. If Comey had done his job and found her grossly negligent as he originally wrote she wouldn't have been able to run.

Using Correct the Record to pay people to go on websites and correct people's opinions of her was borderline election fraud. Money laundering was definitely against the law and yet I can't find anything about that lawsuit. $84 million was laundered from the DNC right into her campaign.

And using her party's intelligence agencies to spy on her opponent should definitely have been against the law. Getting the FBI to entrap people so that she could use the stories against them or get them prosecuted? How was that legal? This is why Rudy is in Ukraine to try to find out what their role was in setting up Russia Gate.

@snoopydawg Here's a link to the lawsuit regarding the $84 million. The lawsuit was filed Feb. 13, 2019.

This lawsuit seeks to compel the Federal Election Commission (“FEC”) to take action on an administrative complaint the Committee to Defend the President (“CDP”) filed with the FEC over a year ago—even excluding the period during which the federal government was shut down—disclosing the existence of an unprecedented nationwide scheme to violate federal campaign finance law in which $84 million was effectively laundered over more than a year by the Hillary Victory Fund (“HVF”) through dozens of state political party committees to the Democratic National Committee (“DNC”) and, ultimately, to Hillary for America (“HFA”).

@snoopydawg

I'm cautiously optimistic that they're resorting to this kind of lowlife bullshit so early in the cycle. Their internal polling must have them in a full throttle panic for the stenography pool to be trotting out delegate counts close to 6 months before Iowa.

Today, the Hill declared that Warren and Biden are neck and neck in delegate counts.

Funny how that goes since not a single vote has been cast in the primaries. What I am reading is that we peons do not need to vote since the DNC has decided who the nominee will be in advance. I HATE the Democratic party. And they have the nerve to say that Russia rigged our elections?

BTW, here is my tweet in response. And yes, I was very angry.

@karl pearson those little guys. LOL

I lost my full throwback pom, Willie Bear (my avatar), a year ago last July. He was just short of 16 years old and was 22 lbs which is about four times the size of what they are breeding for show purposes. People would look at him and ask me what he was because he looked just like pom but was too big to be one.

I searched for a long time to find either a full throwback or partial throwback. In March, I found Baci who was an owner surrender and is now about 13 lbs which makes him a partial throwback. He came to us extremely spoiled. His owner did now want to give him up but had to due to a change in her circumstances.

All poms are manipulative. Most are also little thieves. Baci is both to the extreme. I say he has an attitude and I love it.

I am glad to see another pom servant here. They say dogs have owners and cats have staff. The exception are poms because they also have staff.

@gulfgal98

Obviously, my eyes are getting as old as the rest of me. All through these several posts mentioning "POM," my eyes kept reading "PORN." In lower case, it really looks like it. You can't imagine how confusing it was trying to make sense of it all. Or maybe you can...

Anyway, y'all get to laugh along with me.

@gulfgal98 my Pom is 4 years old now and weighs 16 pounds
He is white and extremely hairy
He is very sweet and laidback but has his eccentricities
As a puppy he was a perpetual motion machine and I am still amazed I survived that period

@Will Rogers Guthrie If your pom is not overweight, then you are the lucky owner of a full throwback. White was the original color too. Now poms come in more colors than any other breed and the breeders are manipulating their head shape too. I find that sad. This is why I like the throwbacks. They are more like the original 30 pound sled dogs that were the first pomeranians. I love that pom attitude!

@gulfgal98 confusing, but that CBS/YouGov "Delegate Tracker" survey just seems to be taking the existing polling numbers in early primary states (16 or 18 states) and then translating the polling #s into delegates won, if the convention were held today. It doesn't mean delegates have already pledged to a candidate before voting even starts.

@wokkamile "manufacturing consent." The people have not voted and yet the media is telling us who is ahead in the delegate counts. It does have an effect upon voters.

@gulfgal98

when there are now none. The CBS/YouGov Delegate Tracker says Biden leads with 600!! When the total is, as we know, 0.

Both organizations should be ashamed for claiming it's tracking anything other than current polling. Extrapolating it to delegates really is shameful.

@Shahryar I said the story is confusing. You have to listen very carefully at the cbs site as the reporter reports his story. Somewhere in there he quickly drops the little fact that this is just a projection reflecting current preferences, not an actual delegate vote count that counts. This should have been enunciated clearly and repeated clearly, but he droned on with additional details. Some of the political news sites that picked it up also made the same mistake.

@snoopydawg Rahm Emanuel keeps turning up like a bad penny. What can one expect from a person who began their political career with the Bill Clinton campaign in 1992? Emanuel knew he would likely lose the Chicago mayor's race in 2019, so he did not run for reelection.

@karl pearson Bill for CD Rahm. Obama hired him as his first Chief of Staff. He left only b/c he wanted to begin running for mayor of Chicago. I'm not even sure the Rahm working for Bill was quite the same fierce corporate centrist that he obviously was working for Obama. But if he was, then it's all on Obama for hiring this guy knowing his political proclivities. I know it's thought wise to have a tough-as-nails CoS working in the WH, but that was meant in a more administrative toughness sense and not so much in a political one.

JFK for instance hired a tough, no-nonsense, proven competent guy (Ken O'Donnell) to be his CoS. But he had solid liberal (the acceptable term back then) and working class creds. But picking Rahm was consistent with the tenor of Obama's picks coming in -- choices for his staff and cabinet which signaled a continuation of Bill Clinton's economic policies, and a continuation (mostly) of GW Bush's FP.

@wokkamile When Obama hired Rahm that was a knife in the gut. I knew then that Hope and Change was a fraud.

@davidgmillsatty mostly wasted. A huge opportunity squandered. And how ironic for a guy who didn't "want to look backward" in investigating GOP crimes*, to then turn around and look backward for his cabinet and staff picks to set the table for another round of 90s Clintonian corporatism and incrementalism and 00s Bushwhacking abroad.

* good rant today from Thom Hartmann about how Trump is only the natural progression of Dems' failure to hold Repub presidents to account for their crimes against democracy, going back to the failure of Dems (LBJ etc) to hold Nixon accountable for the 1968 October Surprise illegal scheme.

Somebody mentioned this being invoked in an earlier Tulsi thread - not surprising (anymore; it sure would've been 4 years ago), but I haven't seen any such, and am frankly curious as to what that would even look like, particularly when peddled by "inclusive(TM)" Democrats. The closest thing I can even think of to Hinduphobia that I recall ever even seeing was that clip of FOXNEWS-era Glenn Beck dwelling on how the name "Ganges" sounded "like a disease" - simultaneously obvious and morally inexcusable race/religion-baiting (same thing, ultimately), and clumsy silliness unworthy of a calumniator-laureate like him.
