The True Purpose of Russiagate?

Then the Justice Democrats started issuing their list of incumbents to challenge, and the language took on a noticeable shift.

Further, Democrats are bristling at the meddling of the Ocasio-Cortez-aligned Justice Democrats—a progressive group looking to primary Democratic members, some of whom are a part of the CBC.

"Meddling" in an election? Where have I heard that before?
And where do Americans get off thinking that they can meddle in our elections?

Well, it's just one news article, right?

“The question that comes up all the time is, is there anybody internally assisting and abetting, encouraging people to run against incumbents?” Rep. Bill Pascrell, a Democrat from New Jersey, told Politico.

Putin! Putin did it!

Pelosi has no problems with "meddling" in elections when its done by party leadership.

And here comes the smears...from the right-wing.
Yes, Republican sources are attacking the JD for primarying corporate Democrats. Interesting.

The majority of the democratic party are zombies anyways.
That they're eating themselves is of no importance.
Thanks gjohn

@Pricknick amazing that some one is concerned about "increased smearing of progressives" over Russia when the smearing of Trump has been going full bore and continues to this day.

@Pricknick
It's how horrified the right wing is that their so call enemies in the center are being challenged by people on the left.
Why?
Is it because the JD candidate are honest?
Is it because the current dems are inauthentic opposition?
Or is it because a real leftist exposes how radical they are?

@gjohnsit
as you spend more time observing something, the more in depth you think.
That's why I respect you. You put in the time. I've given up on both parties generating any positive results in the time frame we need. So I've given up on the national front. I'll work locally to change what I think is possible and in the rural zones that's still doable.

Sorry to troll two threads with the same Hill article, but this seems appropriate here:

They are going after the wrong target. Instead of fighting Republicans and defeating Trump and holding on to our majority, they find it convenient to go after their own, which is to me a bunch of B.S.,” Clay told The Hill.

He likened Justice Democrats to “Russian trolls of 2016” trying to sow divisions in the Democratic Party.

“It does make you wonder what’s going on,” added another CBC member, Rep. Robin Kelly (D-Ill.). “Some names that have been mentioned all seem to be people of color, and more so CBC members.”

CBC members and some top Democratic aides have questioned who is pulling the strings at Justice Democrats. The group, which is targeting entrenched incumbent Democrats they view as insufficiently progressive and beholden to corporate donors, was founded in the wake of President Trump’s surprise 2016 victory by progressive media personalities Cenk Uygur and Kyle Kulinski, along with Bernie Sanders organizers Saikat Chakrabarti and Corbin Trent.

Uygur and Kulinski are no longer with the group. And after winning a seat in Congress, Ocasio-Cortez hired Chakrabarti as her chief of staff and Trent as her communications director.

I'm wasn't aware that racist commies were actually a thing, but apparently the Dem Leadership seems to think so.

...inside the Centrist-Right Democratic Party if they don't intend to fully occupy it? And to do that, they need to eject the Centrists at every opportunity and transform it into a Worker's Party — a People's Party — an authentic Left Wing Party for America.

That's the plan, right?

I hope these Left Wing candidates are not simply hanging out in the Democratic Party intending to stick the woke Left with another Neoliberal, more-of-the-same Presidential candidate. Another War Party candidate who wants to meet the Right Wing in the middle of the thin sliver that divides the Duopoly.

The Democrats will lose the 2020 election if they make that mistake again. The voters won't be there. Could they be that clueless? They can't beat Donald Trump with the Centrist slop they're dishing.

I don't know where the Centrist and Dembot sun-setters are going to go, but sharing a Party with the rising Left is not an option. Their shameless vacillation corrupts and contaminates the political will necessary to forcefully support New Deal policies that benefit the lives of the People, and give them a voice.

So, primary them all because they need to begone. Turn out the lights over their heads at the next convention. Chant "We will, we will Rock you." And when they leave, they can take the fake Progressives and their bloated identities with them, because those labels are obsolete.

Perhaps they can start a third party....

@Pluto's Republic for the response and for doing it for Assange. I figured it was some sort of distress signal.

@Pluto's Republic They can't beat Donald Trump with the Centrist slop they're dishing.

But the neo-libs don't care because they also know that's not their job right now.

This election cycle, the Dem establishment's only job is to torpedo Bernie.

That way they can whine about Trump for another four years while all the while blaming progressives for the loss.

In CorpoDem world, it's what's known as a 'win-win'.

@Pluto's Republic

I don't know where the Centrist and Dembot sun-setters are going to go, but sharing a Party with the rising Left is not an option.

Right back to the Republican Party where they belong. Instead of destroying the party of FDR, they need to drain their own swamp.

Besides, the GOP loves neocons. What they don't love is tea partiers.

Trump critic Justin Amash quits Republican Party

(CNN)Rep. Justin Amash, the only congressional Republican who publicly argues that President Donald Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct, announced Thursday he is quitting the GOP.

"Today, I am declaring my independence and leaving the Republican Party," Amash wrote in a Washington Post op-ed Thursday morning. "No matter your circumstance, I'm asking you to join me in rejecting the partisan loyalties and rhetoric that divide and dehumanize us. I'm asking you to believe that we can do better than this two-party system — and to work toward it. If we continue to take America for granted, we will lose it."
Amash didn't mention the President by name, but his decision to abandon the party comes after months of escalating criticism not just of the President but of his own colleagues for their failure to hold Trump to account, specifically for the actions detailed in special counsel Robert Mueller's report on the 2016 election and its aftermath.
Trump appeared to celebrate Amash's departure on Twitter, slamming him as a party defector who would not have been re-elected.
"Great news for the Republican Party as one of the dumbest & most disloyal men in Congress is 'quitting' the Party," the president tweeted. "No Collusion, No Obstruction! Knew he couldn't get the nomination to run again in the Great State of Michigan. Already being challenged for his seat. A total loser!"

I don't often agree with Amash, but he is principled. A rare commodity anywhere on the planet. The GOP was going to punish him for speaking his mind by running a challenger against him in the primary. So, he opted out and will run as an Independent. I hope his district sticks by him and gives Trump the finger.
