More DNC shenanigans

The Finance Chair is the second most powerful person at the DNC, so it's important what he thinks.

The DNC's new finance chair Chris Korge, a longtime Florida lobbyist, was a major supporter of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016, and he has already given $2,700 this cycle to Kamala Harris's presidential campaign. On Twitter, he has made clear that he hasn't gotten over the party's struggle with Sanders in 2016, even retweeting a user urging him to stay out of the 2020 race, according to a Huffington Post report.
...The DNC went to great lengths to convince Sanders to sign a loyalty pledge earlier this year, making him vow not to run as a third-party candidate if he were to lose the primary.

Sounds fair and balanced to me, amirite?
The loyalty pledge looks like a trap.

Meanwhile the DCCC is proving to everyone that it is no better.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is refusing to work with vendors that also work with candidates mounting primary challenges against incumbents, but it appears happy to hire vendors whose corporate clients work to block popular Democratic policies like net neutrality and Medicare for All.
...“The DCCC is working against their own core mission by sidelining good consultants who want to both help flip red seats blue and help progressives in blue districts—and they are losing grassroots fundraising because of this unforced error,” said Marissa Barrow, spokesperson for Progressive Change Campaign Committee, an organization that has endorsed Democratic candidates running primaries from the left. “They hurt their mission even further by feeding the idea in the minds of swing voters or drop-off base voters that both parties are funded by the same corrupt special interests.”

The Democratic Party is not the friend of anyone on the left.
Fortunately, the DCCC isn't getting away with it.

After facing intense backlash from progressives for planning to star at a fundraiser for an anti-choice Democrat amid a wave of Republican attacks on abortion rights, DCCC chair Cheri Bustos announced late Wednesday that she has decided to back out of the high-dollar event.

But the McResistance will lead us to the promised land. Unless, of course, the McResistance was always a big scam.

The DCCC made the millions in payments to Onward Together, a nonprofit founded by Clinton following her loss to President Donald Trump, for its email lists. The payments from the DCCC to Onward Together began in December 2017. Since that time, the committee reported 25 transactions to Clinton's group totaling slightly more than $3 million, the filings show. The most recent payments from the DCCC to the committee were made in February.

In addition to the DCCC, the Democratic National Committee pushed $1.65 million to Clinton's group throughout 2018. The payments from the DNC, which were marked primarily as list acquisitions with one payment going towards direct mail, stopped in late October of last year.

Clinton launched Onward Together to allow her to be a "part of the resistance" against Trump and Republicans following the 2016 elections.

Well knock me over with a feather. Both the DNC and the DCCC still beholden to Hillary?
Gee, I wonder what she's doing with those millions of dirty dollars?

"The only Bern the middle class will feel from Bernie is the pain from all the tax increases," Korge wrote while attending one of the 2016 Clinton-Sanders primary debates.

Do I have to vote for stinking Trump for the Democratic Party to get the message?

I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.

I think hanging Maddow and Hannity side-by-side from a lamppost would send a better message.

@gjohnsit
Last time I was accused of voting for trump because I voted green.
Maybe I'll just cut to the chase and vote for him instead.

@Pricknick
"If you don't understand why voting Green is NOT the same as voting for Trump, then how about I just vote for Trump. Then, unless you are too stupid to do grade school math, you will see the difference."

Unfortunately, for people who CAN do grade school math, it sends the wrong message.

that those with hate in their hearts, are forever doomed to shiver from the ice in their blood.
May mistress Clinton, as that's all she is to her adulterer husband, enjoy the deep freeze before the inevitable return to the carbon chain.

Unfortunately though people really think that democrats are fighting against everything Trump stands for. Psst they're not.

After facing intense backlash from progressives for planning to star at a fundraiser for an anti-choice Democrat amid a wave of Republican attacks on abortion rights, DCCC chair Cheri Bustos announced late Wednesday that she has decided to back out of the high-dollar event.

After she worked so hard on getting it set up for Lipinsky she made a big sacrifice by not attending the event. Did anyone keep an eye on the back doors?

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

The Aspie Corner's picture

Step 1: Politician talks about policies most people support when there's no capitalist propaganda involved (Usually during primary season).

Step 2: Capitalist pig goes on TV screaming "WE CAN'T AFFORD IT! WORKERS WILL SUFFER! VENEZUELA! COMMUNISM!" and everything else they can throw out. Voters buy it en masse, voting against their own interests (And against those with decent ideas in the process) as the primaries go into full swing.

Step 3: Capitalist pig bribes chosen politician with 'campaign donation' near the end of the primary season. Said politician wins primary, immediately squelching any hopes of real, life-changing, positive policy even being considered. At all.

Step 4: General election, where chosen empty suit says "Vote for me. Or else." while pointing to the scary idiot saying what they both think of the electorate behind closed doors to scare them into voting for said chosen candidate who offers only to put a velvet glove over the iron fist of capital.

Step 5: Either one wins and it's back to the capitalist gang rape business model we've all been subjected to over the past 50 years because no other system has risen up to challenge the fuckers and put their heads on spikes, as they richly deserve.

Step 6: Repeat every 2 to four years, making choices progressively worse while large swaths of the electorate continue to lose everything to the point they have less than nothing while maintaining a small facade of excess and charity to bolster the 'positive' image of capital. A velvet glove over the iron fist of capital, if you will.

Voters will do this again and again, expecting a different result. Sorry to disappoint you, but if you think you can vote out the iron fist of capital, you aren't paying attention. So go ahead, kill Rosa again and see what that gets you.

Modern education is little more than toeing the line for the capitalist pigs.

Guerrilla Liberalism won't liberate the US or the world from the iron fist of capital.
