Dubya "the constitution is only a piece of paper"
or empty suit "look forward, not back" that he
would've been hailed as a great learner or maybe
even been given the medal of freedom, but no he
choose to quote the wrong war criminals and for
that reason he is under scrutiny for bringing anti-semitic
unacceptable and offensive behavior to HP HS,
damn wtf was he thinking....

"This year, students brought to our attention that they found two quotations in the yearbook to be unacceptable and offensive. Senior quotations are reviewed and approved by a team, and we take full responsibility for having missed the quotations that should have never been published in the yearbook," Township High School District 113 said in a statement. "Any act that disrupts the learning environment or makes our students feel unsafe is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."

In a letter to parents, the school’s principal apologized and said no further yearbooks will be distributed "until we are able to rectify the situation."

"We apologize that we missed quotations that should not have been published in the yearbook…These quotations do not align with our mission and values and have no place in our learning community," the letter from Principal Debby Finn read. "We actively work to eliminate hate speech and anti-Semitism in all of our learning spaces."

Now htf this quote is anti-semitic or makes one unsafe is
beyond my comprehension, help me out here. Isn't it more of
a quote that speaks to misuse of power, sorta like Dubyas
WMD massive lie? teaching history is now taboo?

Students said they were shocked and disturbed to see the senior quote in their yearbook, saying it was particularly alarming given the largely Jewish student body.

"Promoting the speech of an evil person is not only wrong but vile. It amazes me that a kid could be raised in this community and espouse these words from such an animal and continue think it's okay," one student said in a statement.

It remains unclear if disciplinary actions will be taken against the students involved.

So if this doesn't capture all that is wrong with 21st
century amerikan empire, correct me.

Such accusations can only come about from gross ignorance

@ggersh of history, and the fact that while the "Big Lie" was what Hitler actively accused the Jews of doing, he himself was engaged in it.

The quote can very easily be meant to be a warning against people telling lies against Jews, as Hitler did. Assuming that the ONLY meaning can be that the student actively is engaging in Nazi era propaganda is a lost opportunity to educate the educators and students as to the machinations of Fascists in their attempts to rise to power.

But that also requires you to understand more than just "Nazis=Trump=Bad".

So the simple act of quoting is now 'promoting'?

And notice they didn't say 'promoting the evil person'. Just anything the guy said, regardless of context, irony, or application to current politics.

So congrats HPHS on your kneejerk censorship of historical speech based simply on impure attribution. I'm sure Hitler would have approved wholeheartedly of such methods.
