Iowans Awake! (Caucus Info)

If anyone is here from the state of Iowa, please see the following page--especially if you are an interested caucus-goer. The Iowa Democratic Party has changed the rules significantly, and comment on some of the change proposals closes March 13, 2019. Yes, the page is in support of Tulsi, but it would apply equally to Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren supporters, or whomever you support.

Lots of info there. Take note of the virtual caucusing, with no way to ID the voters, representing 10% of the vote. Candidates who receive less than 15% of votes will not win delegates.

Looks to be something of a sh^tshow.

I support Tulsi, but other than support her with donations, I wouldn't even know what to do.
I feel too old and too far away to understand it.
I guess she and Sanders will be destroyed the old fashioned way, brutally, violently and disgustingly.

Yeah I am not making this stuff up, I'm not that sick:

Procedure

Historically, in the Democratic caucuses, Iowans divide into groups based on which candidate they support. Then, the voters are given a chance to switch groups, if they desire to do so. Once the groups are finalized, the chairman will decide how many representatives each group is entitled toh.[4]

In the Republican caucuses, there is a straw poll which indicates the group's preferences for delegates. With an incumbent President running for reelection, the Republican caucuses will not have a straw poll and delegates will just be appointed by state party officials.[citation needed]

gag me with a coin flip

I went to the wiki to try and find out who "counts" the "votes" in Iowa this time around. Nobody lol

"Whoever Wins Iowa!" is a meaningless headline now, except to the propagandists I guess. good luck

I don't live there anymore, but the reports were horrible. I remember reading a blog by an Iowan just after the caucus. He told about how some hillary bully stood up and just took over. Iowans, as I knew them, would be stunned and not know how to respond. Then the unfair appointing of how many delegates were given to each caucus group. It was determined by the previous election year, an off year with few in attendance. College towns had large groups voting in the caucus, but were given few delegates. And then the fact that they did not make the voting results public. And the coin toss thing. Damn. No doubt that Bernie actually won.

They're already at it again. Looks like they are not going to take Brad DeLong's advice.

Instead, they are doubling down on their 2016 primary election theft tactics. It's almost like they want progressives to start a third party.
