Majority of Democrats are thinking for themselves
Submitted by gjohnsit on Fri, 02/22/2019 - 5:06pm
This is beginning to be a problem.
The Little People need to understand what is acceptable to think, and what isn't acceptable to think. Their Betters spend billions of dollars every year shaping their opinions.
If people start thinking for themselves, who knows what craziness might come of it?
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 56% of Likely Democratic Voters think it’s at least Somewhat Likely that Sanders, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2016, will end up being the Democratic presidential nominee in 2020.
What is wrong with these people? They've clearly been told what to think and yet they go and commit thoughtcrimes anyway.

not sure your lede is true
minority of people think for themselves regardless of political affiliation
don't trust polls, all are slanted
can not follow the logic that the billions spent in shaping opinion
is not working to some degree or another, think about what you believe
about what you are told at your own risk
question everything
What's surprising is how often it doesn't work
For instance, it took Russiagate an insane amount of time (given the media saturation) to take hold. Over a year in, a majority of Americans still didn't think there was anything in it.
The problem is, eventually repetition will wear people down and they will make the assumptions that the powerful have set up for them to make, and eventually history will be rewritten and they won't even remember, really, that they thought something different once upon a time.
I've been watching this happening with the two Bush election frauds. People like Jimmy Dore and Ron Placone, who are reasonably reliable narrators with pretty good minds, talking about how the electoral college is the reason that Bush got into the White House instead of Gore, when Gore actually won. Not a mention of fraud in sight.
The only antidote to the power of repetition is to remove oneself from it. I firmly believe that what's responsible for the fairly wide political divide between most people over 60 and most people under 35 is the fact that few people under 35 get their media from conventional sources. There are, of course, people over 60 who also get their media from unconventional sources, but if you look at the median age for FOX, CNN, MSNBC, they're all 60 and up.

Bernie who?

Here's what's going to happen:
The Democrats are going to rig the primaries again. They won't even try to hide the fact that they're doing it. Sanders will play along because the choice has already been made by the party leadership and the capitalist pigs who control both parties.
The voters will go along with it too, because...anyone but Dipshit. Anyone. Even if their policies mirror his. Get used to seeing/hearing shit like this:
"We can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good."
"We can't afford purity tests."
"There is no alternative."
And when Sanders throws the primary:
"Socialism has failed."
I'm not going to expect anything with regards to Sanders' candidacy. I'll be disappointed otherwise.
Modern education is little more than toeing the line for the capitalist pigs.
Guerrilla Liberalism won't liberate the US or the world from the iron fist of capital.
Either that or they will use Bernie
Give him the nomination and make him the next Obama.
The person involved doesn't have to start out as a mercenary who likes the policies of Ronald Reagan. You could start out with a person who likes the (domestic) policies of Franklin Roosevelt. Doesn't matter. A puppet is a puppet is a puppet.
Let's hope they just do a reprise of the crap they did before. It would be less damaging that way.

it's interesting how TOP pushed earlier polls but not this
a bunch of news articles about Kamala Harris doing so well....not now. Chuck Todd (is that the guy's name) mentioned how Bernie did but then lied (probably was told this) and said Harris got a bump in that poll. She actually slid 12 points.
Shah, his name is
Chuck Toad. I’m almost sure of it.
Not surprised they buried this poll. What else would they do? But the next one... if the sanders vote drops off significantly, that will become big news. “Sanders support collapses in just two weeks!” Wait for it.
I’m thinking Bernie knows this and must have a game plan that doesn’t expect fairness this time. At least I’d hope so.
THANK YOU for that headline
It's just what I needed right now.
We've been trapped in a hellish avalanche of Orwellian Newtruth ever since 2014, and it's been making me absolutely miserable. This "woke progressive" counterfeit-left has been doing things even the Religious Right was never able to do. Look past the totally different vernacular and accessories, and it's essentially the same thing - the GOP, and "conservatism" in general, in fact, was fucking dead as far as my generation was concerned, but mark my words, THIS is going to bring it all roaring back if we can't dramatically correct course; thanks for less than nothing, Bush-ocrats!

I see it too.
Cold comfort, I know, but you're not alone.

I start to compare Markos with Bezos - I mean
why would anyone be interested to know who Markos favorite lovers are. Sigh.

Bernie is the original
The rest are at best clones. Why would anyone who wants his policy positions enacted support a candidate who later adopted them because they saw which way the wind was blowing?
This is what I don’t get about the MSM talking point that “he now has competition so why support him?”

To be fair, I don't think that could be said of Tulsi Gabbard.
Not that I'm her cheerleader, or anything, but she doesn't seem like she's bandwagoning.

Fair enough
But I was thinking about all the MSM articles saying he’s not unique any more. Those same articles also pretend Tulsi doesn’t even exist...

Well, I certainly agree with you there.
But I tend to assume that anything in the mainstream press will be bullshit.
Perhaps we should stop calling them mainstream and simply call them corporate...
