When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.

Gandhi is absolutely correct. I have given witness to those words. All one needs is patience, which is the challenge.

Have a beautiful day and weekend, folks! Pleasantry

@Raggedy Ann Rumble, grumble. Brings me back to the the Triumph Trident 750 which carried me and my pack around the country several times. I never found the top end of that machine. Tried to bring it up once on a mostly empty freeway in San Diego. Started to lift off the seat, only thing holding me down was the handle bars. About as close to flying as I cared to get at the time. Fuinkin ya ya.

@QMS the top end on neither the Ducati Scrambler, nor the BMW R1200. Things start happening too fast. I'll take the 1982 BMW R65 to The Rumble. It tops @105. It gets there efficiently. I put a Siebenrock kit on it.

I got to discuss velocity modulation with a Colorado Highway patrolman. As soon as I crested Wolf Creek Pass, I saw him sitting in a gravel spot, looked down at the GPS and saw I was 10 over. He gave me a written warning. Works for me.

Modern education is little more than toeing the line for the capitalist pigs.

Guerrilla Liberalism won't liberate the US or the world from the iron fist of capital.

I like your Gandhi quote. Tyrants do fall. However seems they are usually replaced with another eventually. Best to forget the tyrants and live our own lives on our own terms as much as you can within the system.

We finally dried out. I must admit I enjoyed our wet summer. So did the garden, although the tomatoes got the fungus among us and have already played out. We usually have tomatoes till November. The fall lettuce is in and time to plant the greens - collards, swiss chard, and kale. Always something to do in the garden.

Have a good day everyone and enjoy the rumble Tim!

@Lookout is causing peppers and tomatoes to split. A friend, from the brew pub, gave me a bag full of garlic. Yum.

Online, so many quotes are misattributed on thousands of websites, especially to Gandhi and Eisenstein, it seems. I don't know if the one in your OP is Gandhi or not. Some of the misattributed Gandhi quotes begin "First, they laugh at you," and "I like your Christ." However, if the quote resonates, who cares who said it first?

Have a great week, Tim.

busy here, which is good for the body and spirit (except to the extent that some of it is "busy on the computer", fine for the spirit, but not so much for the body.) The main thing is to keep the music playing in your mind and making sure that it is good music.

For grins, today I'm thinking of revisiting Gabor Szabo:

What is the irony of Aretha Franklin and John McCain dying around the same time and having headline funerals at the same time. I am cracking up. Lol
