Eddie Cochran speaks for me, for all of us
We all should have and still should, raise a fuss and a holler, as it were. Hell my family didn't even have a car to borrow for a chunk of my youth and I couldn't have borrowed it to go a riding on Sunday
because my dad needed it to work his second job and I was very possibly working 1+ jobs myself.
During high school, however, I saved enough for student memberships in the ACLU and, later, SNCC. Why? Because I really needed to, I really felt I had to. Today thanks to fortune, I am better off and better off than many. Despite the propaganda about full employment and all that, we all know that poverty, hunger and homelessness run rampant. Times are tight.
Nonetheless, this place cannot run on tunes and good will, it takes money, honey. Really, I mean
I mean really, up in the upper left are the donate buttons and some donate infor. We need to fund the place and provide at least a tiny bit of remuneration for the ship, captain and crew who created, built, funds and maintains it, JtC. So really let's see if we can get Johnny singing:
So, c'mon, folks, pony up
so, like, boogety, boogety, boogety shu.

Times are hard, and are going to be harder.
I expect more assaults on my pension, (Hell, I've been dealing for 3 years with people telling me that I NEED to get back to work, even though I'm a wreck. I live on maybe 23 dollars a day, and there are entire weeks I don't spend a penny. Somehow, that's LAZY to the PTB... after I've taken a fucking bullet for them.)
I'm not a prepper, YET, but I am absolutely not forcing my kids to believe in the American lie that if you do well in school and work hard you will be successful. Instead, I'm telling them to find the joy in what they love to do. Work and money are what you HAVE to do to survive. It is not your life.
If I could right now, I'd honestly be investing in a commune. My SO and I wish we could just homestead in a national park before the goddamn Corporations strip mine them.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
Even without a full blown commune, we can work on

I'm in on the commune
thing. And have been
for 3 or 4 years now, since the handwriting on the wall became crystal clear.
When it became crystal clear, circa 2014, that O'bummer had zero intentions of doing anything except serving the oligarchy. yes, massr.
Just need to find 10 acres somewhere and bring in the RVs, 53' boxcars.
one - 2 acres of garden should do it.

Well, there is a ton of planning and work, but you already
know that, I'm sure. The best of luck.

Rule of thumb
Is one acre per couple to survive.
Forget where I read it. But sounds about right in my experience growing a garden. Alot depends on climate. And, of course, that is continuesly changing everywhere.
It's becoming a crap shoot of where to go.
Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.
Cuba is a dead horse, stop beating it.
I'm sure they cost
a zillion dollars, but
Dylan Ratigan is part of a company that essentially puts a farm in a box that can grow crops 24/7/365 anywhere on the planet, except maybe the poles.
Less than I thought.... about $200K - $400K
Not cheap, but financed over 20 years it's doable.
These things are Global Hunger killers.

" I expect more assaults on my pension"
I hear ya there, DMW.
Eventually they will end it entirely I fear.
I wonder if they will stop deducting that money from workers paychecks?
Yeah, right.
And what are they gonna do with Social Security numbers as personal ID?
Tatoo PIN numbers to our forearm?

"I'd rather live in the wilderness that under a bridge".

Sometimes I could kick myself that I
didn’t learn Danish and join the Svanholm communal farming village in Denmark when I had the chance.

I was more of a Blue Cheer guy,
and yes, time tough.

We wanted decent healthcare, a living wage and free college.
The Democrats gave us Biden and war instead.
Great music, Az, thanks. Thanks for reading, too, Have
a truly good and cheerful day.

Can still play. I saw him and his current band not so long ago.
Ah, lucky you. Bet you had a good time.
