You gotta win Ohio

Midwestern Democrats To DNC: Stop With The Collusion Narrative Already

“The DNC is doing a good job of winning New York and California,” said David Betras, the Democratic county party chair in Mahoning County, Ohio, home to Youngstown. “I’m not saying it’s not important — of course it’s important — but do they honestly think that people that we just laid off another shift at the car plant in my home county give a shit about Russia when they don’t have a frickin’ job?”

Trump and Russia, Betras said, is the “only piece they’ve been doing since 2016. [Trump] keeps talking about jobs and the economy, and we talk about Russia.”

“I’m going to be honest, I don’t understand why they’re doing it,” said one campaign strategist in the Midwest of the DNC’s suit. “My sense was it was a move meant to gin up the donor base, not our voters. But it was the biggest news they’ve made in a while.”

Though he doesn’t see it hurting his campaign now, the strategist said, “I wouldn’t want to see something like this coming out of the DNC in October.”

The suit is “politically unhelpful,” another strategist in the Midwest said. “I haven’t seen a single piece of data that says voters want Democrats to re-litigate 2016 … The only ones who want to do this are Democratic activists who are already voting Democratic.”

Just fly over it. They're all deplorables anyway. We took over the Coasts cause they flood and stuff and then the middle class Redstaters pay for us to rebuild our houses.

They don't care what it does in "the sticks."

And David Betras up there nailed 100% the reason the Dems lost and will continue to lose.

their pocketbook first. It seems obvious that the Democrats do not care about the voters. The Democrats only care about the donors. And from what I have read lately, it looks like the donor base has dried up. I really do not understand the Democratic party. They stand for nothing and appear to be proud of that position.

I'd buy. Certainly preferable to the HRC stickers I see around here in Southern California.

This guy nailed it.

“My sense was it was a move meant to gin up the donor base, not our voters."

This is how they have governed for some time and they are not going to change anything they do. They're the fake opposition party to the republicans. There are always just enough democrats who vote to get the legislation that people hate passed. This part of that play is usually the blue dogs job, but if more votes are needed, then the ones that can afford to take the hit step up.

Since net neutrality was removed there has been legislation in front of congress and it only needs one more vote for it to pass in the senate. I've gotten emails every day asking me to call congress and get that one more vote that is needed. How many months has this game been going on? If democrats wanted to protect net neutrality they would be making lots of noise. They aren't, they don't. This is just one more part of the government's plan to start censoring websites and eventually people who don't fall in line will be taking trips. The whereabouts to are still being discussed. It can happen here.

@snoopydawg An Internet Bill of Rights is being circulated, which contains among other things "right to be forgotten", i.e., no tracking. But the best part is the requirement that social media cannot censor content based upon political ideology. This term is often disguised as rules against "hate speech", racism, xenophobia--and, the best one in my opinion: "danger to the community". Thought police are here already, most of them live in dwellings provided by the Demonratic practiced in the art of virtue signaling.

Democrats main virtue signal is...."we're not Trump". Boy howdy, didn't that work well in 2016? What is the Demonratic platform today? Ah, don't even bother to guess: "we're not Trump".

Jobs? You don't need no effing jobs--just vote for us (Klinton Crime family).

With the Klinton Krime Family, your "You don't need no effing" phrases aren't used at all. The answer is always "just vote for us". Look at a modern Klinton platform some time (but not right after a meal). Lots of talk about "empowering", precious little details on how they're going to make that "empowering" happen.

And, of course, "peace is over-rated". Diablo

An Internet Bill of Rights

The war on anyone who doesn't buy the party line is non existent anymore. This is going to get much worse when the PTB wants to destroy our social security and other social programs as well as when they start their next war. Moon of Alabama had an incredible write up on the media war against anyone who doesn't believe the propaganda.

Did you see the hit job on Kucinich? He's apparently getting money from Assad's friends. The huff post had a huge headline and photo of them Sunday. Any progressive that threatens the status quo is being taken down. Can't have people thinking that things could be better for them now can we?

For busy people, it will indeed save you a lot of time:

Anything the media supports, I oppose.

Note that I don't say ignore them, rather just immediately assume the opposite position. These days, the odds are overwhelming that you have just taken the the position of veracity.

I often gauge the attitude of the American populace by my wife's attitude. She's no radical, although waaay smarter than me ... and highly educated. She no longer watches any television news other than a few local reports; gets the Houston Chronicle, but only the Wednesday and Sunday editions and those only for the coupons. The rest goes to recycling, unread ... in fact, not even opened. She doesn't do these things so as to mimic an ostrich, but because she's realized that the truth is not to be found in American mainstream media. She says the tipping point for her was watching Oliver Stone's Putin interviews on Showtime. (By the way, if you care to see Google's anti-truth algorithms in action, do a Google search using the terms: "Oliver Stone Putin.")

Wouldn't it be easier if the donors themselves just took their seats in Congress and get on with the pillaging? Their middlemen are such obvious phonies.

@Bollox Ref The pillagers just send their lackeys to do the drudgery, just like they send the young to fight their wars. They're too busy flying their jets, sailing their yachts, and grinding up serfs.

Look at an electorial map some time. New York looks like a red state with a big blue blotch on the bottom. I haven't seen CA, but I'll bet it's the same, SF, LA, and a sea of red.
It would be more accurate to say that the Democrats know how to win NYC and LA. What it is is an argument for the electoral college, if you really want to be honest for a change.
