As I've written in the past, Manbij is the primary flashpoint in Syria.
Today that story took not one, but two twists.
The first twist is today's IED attack.
Two members of the United States-led coalition fighting in Syria were killed — one American soldier and one British — and five others were wounded by a bomb in a late-night attack, the military said on Friday.
The attack took place near Manbij in northern Syria, and is believed to have been carried out by remnants of the Islamic State fighting force, a senior American military official said.
Ah yes. "remnants of the Islamic State fighting force".
Suddenly ISIS, which got chased completely out of the area years ago, launches a successful attack on our forces.
By a curious "coincidence", Turkey just happens to be threatening military force to dislodge us from the Manbij area.
Also by "coincidence", many of the Turkish-backed jihadists looking to take back Manbij are former ISIS members.
What are the chances of all those things being coincidences?
It looks a whole lot more like Turkey is sending a message, because Turkey has big plans.
Turkey has started operations to clear northern Syria’s Ayn al-Arab, Ras al-Ain and Tel Abyad regions from militants up to the Iraqi border, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday, adding that it would also clear militants from Iraq.
I mean REALLY big plans.

The second twist is one that I never saw coming. Guess who is stepping in to block Turkey?
France’s president on Thursday assured the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) of Paris’ support to stabilise northeastern Syria against Islamic State, and Kurdish officials said he had committed to sending troops to the region.
Macron is setting up France to fail. This is a bad move.

Why are people so damn stupid? This will not and cannot end well. Especially for the innocent people caught in the middle of it.
Here in the USA arming and funding Israeli genocide and mass murder is perfectly OK, but objecting to it will get you expelled, arrested or deported.
Two faced reports from Turkey.
If Turkey invades Syria, it's legal. If France does it, it's illegal. Then again, the Turkish invasion is called "Operation Olive Branch" (they must have got their naming nomenclature from Israel or the US).
