Hi, all: Long time, no essay. And please forgive me in advance, because 1) this barely qualifies as an essay; b) it's a drive-by -- I want to publish it but am running out and won't be able to respond in real-time; and 3) someone may already have covered it.
Anyway:
I read here, somewhere in the last few days, speculation about whether the whole #MeToo astro-turfed "movement," including the (rightful) disgracing of prominent Democrats and their sycophants, might actually be a deliberate and coordinated means to get rid of Trump. And here's my fourth apology: I don't remember, and can't find, the reference to give due credit. (So much good stuff to read on C99! Was this an essay? An erudite comment on an essay? If the latter, which essay? Etc.)
Well, here's some very good evidence that this speculation is correct:

That's right -- Nikki Haley.
If this isn't a tell, I don't know what is.

The possibility that this might be some kind of psyop
with the end game of getting Trump was discussed. Who knows for sure. Relative to Haley, kind of weasel words, politically if she wants to keep her career alive she has to react somewhat positively. "Dealt with" sounds like she's saying let them have their say, deal with them and move on.
Who knows, pressure could mount on Trump. A U.S. Senator resigned over this, that's actually a pretty big deal.
More is coming and not just the Dumbocrats are falling
Rep. Trent Franks is gone after a $5M proposition to a staffer. More Repugnants are going to fall, even though most of the fallouts so far have been Dumbocrats.
