I had a sneaking suspicion
Buddhists were radical terrorists! Between the smiles and the robes you know they gotta be hiding something.

Good morning, Feeesh. The funny there, beyond just that it
happened, is that Nichiren is itself a Buddhist sect, which you probably knew. This means that it is more like the genocidal Albigensian Crusade that Pope Innocent III declared against some insufficiently orthodox Christians than the assorted Catholic Crusades against Islam.

Ever more frequent occurrences: Toxic algae alert issued for Russian River
Ssh, don't say wine-grapes or cannabis. Or beer! omg beer. Here is a photo of one of three wells Bear Flag Brewery paid for public/private don't ya know. The cage is dented from winter tree fall last year many trees went down.
Russian River flowing in the background. Mmm, Racer 5. ICK. Our city water comes from the River mostly, it is chlorinated beyond belief. Tastes awful but I am used to it, makes me sicker what doesn't. I met a homeless guy who drinks from the "non-potable" faucet at the Boat Ramp. Once I told a city worker about a broken sprinkler head as I was walking downtown. He was wearing a hazmat suit, spraying weed killer everywhere. He blamed it on the homeless, they keep breaking the heads to get water. Those bastards! I won't say which, think for yourself.

Glyphosate Sprayed on GMO Crops Linked to Lake Erie’s Toxic Algae Bloom
No connections! None whatsoever. Nope. Correlation is not causation, blah blah blah. Until death do us part.

Good morning, eyo. Thanks for the addendum.
Domoic is from an algae, the other from cyanobacteria. Both likely spurred to more frequent blooms by chemicals in runoff and dumping, but also by warmer waters.
Thanks for reading.

"Managed" low river flows are the bummer.
Santa Rosa seeking alternatives to Glyphosate for landscaping
Nowadays, wtf doesn't cause cancer in California? Peace In Medicine dispensary is now labeling all medical cannabis with cancer warning, after merging with BIG Corp. to stay alive. Harshing my buzz bigly.

Huh! After centuries of medicinal use by peoples all over the world, cannabis smoke is now killing us too. Thanks Monsanto! "Forget it Jake, it's Chinatown." Can't wait to hear how the Landscape Industry responds, "something something can't afford to replace cheap poison with expensive labor. because profits. Wah wah wah, we're capitalists."
peace
Morning el...
Johnny Rivers, thanks for the memories.
Have a good day el and everyone!
edit to change music
Good morning, Smiley7. Thanks for reading, and for the video.

What did Opha May Johnson--
--IF Opha May Johnson is her real name--have that our poor Hills did not have? http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/11/politics/hillary-clinton-marine-army-recru...
A broadway musical, very loosely based on Annie Oakley, starring Ethel Merman was made into a film starring Betty Hutton. Music by Irving Berlin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Get_Your_Gun_(musical)

Good morning, Henry, thanks for dropping in.
Hillary's tale is highly as suspect, as is pretty much everything about her. Goldwaterite (war monger) to anti-war, yet trying to join the Marines, to rabid warmonger. Opportunism is the word that comes to mind. I don't think it ever happened.
Saw the movie, btw, but I'm not much on musicals. Thanks for Guantanamera.

I don't think it ever happened either. In fact, at the time
the story that I linked came out, I checked the dates in Hillary's story and they didn't even work out as far as the age Hillary claimed she was at the time she allegedly tried to enlist. I look at wikis a lot to check basic facts. I definitely noticed some changes in Hillary's over time, but they always spoke of being told women did not belong in leadership positions. (Not buying that, either.) But, then, when she faced running for President while in her sixties, age discrimination crept in as well. She is unbelievable, literally.
good morning el and c99ers
Still just a bit of morning left here in the central zone.
August in Alabama is normally miserable, but so far its has been rainy and cool (mid 80's for highs). The tomatoes haven't been thrilled, but we put up what we'll need for winter last month.
I can't keep up with mowing (actually bush hogging) this summer. My drive has been washed out four times so far too. It is my version of Sisyphus - rain washes road down hill...I pull road back up the hill with tractor and box scrape. Oddly there is a sense of satisfaction when done despite knowing it will happen again. Another natural cycle perhaps?
Hope all is good in your worlds!

Hiya, lookout, sorry about the tomatoes. Have a good one

57 days without rain
in Portland/Vancouver metro. Streak ended today. Not much, fraction of a inch, but enough to turn the ash on vehicles to slimey streaks down the fenders. At least the air is finally breathable.
Pulled all the Wally Wally onions today. Gottem curin' in garage. Yellow Yukons next.
Thanks for the tunes, just right for a rainy day.
Peace out.
Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.
Cuba is a dead horse, stop beating it.
Hiya, earthling1. Good news about the onions. I'm looking to
plant some as soon as I can.
