'Scaramoochie' : 10 days and gone like my last pay check !!!!

Heh.

Just finished a windows 10 crappy update and they spammed me with a web page on their latest browser. There was an ad there 'breaking news trump fires #Scaramucci lol.'

.
Can't morn that, guess most were cringing at the thought of weeks listening to him.

What an absolute and total disaster this administration is. How could it ever get worse. Sadly, though it most probably will.

too many cocks cooks spoil the soup

The trajectory of the U.S. dollar is on the same trajectory as President Donald Trump’s approval rating. According to Gallup, the President’s approval rating has gone from 45 percent on January 23, 2017 to 38 percent on July 29, 2017.

A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.

@divineorder thanks, just noticed I biffed on the play of words in the other comment, distracted Save. I followed your link and the next, and was lmao but then it's really not funny, because there are more unbelievably awful things to come. Gong show, Survivor, which TV template next? Sopranos why not, except maybe the Ds have that matrix covered.

"The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president, not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kelly's request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge."

Traders want off the US dollar ride and sent it to the lows of the day against the euro and yen. What a mess.

Technially, USD/JPY is now further into the gap that opened in mid-June.

@eyo was smarter than Trump, in a minute. Soprano's fan here, guilty pleasure, I still love that show. At least he knew when to shut up, Trump doesn't have that skill no matter how supposedly mobbed up he is. Horribly, he's probably a Sopranos fan too, as is El Rushbo I believe. Whatever, I still love the show.

Sad to say, but Tony Soprano was smarter than Trump, in a minute. Soprano's fan here, guilty pleasure, I still love that show. Whatever, I still love the show.

James Gandolfini, the actor who played Tony Soprano, was a very noble soul. He was famous for his kindness and generosity.

Unfortunately, he is no longer with us (June 29, 2013) -- and the Chump and the Mooch still are. Sad

@lizzyh7 thanks, I finally saw Sopranos in 2013. That kind of crap is really damaging to society I think. Good writing and acting ruined by life-like gratuitous beatings, tortures, killings, whatever the most awful thing to shock an audience. People liked Breaking Bad too, not me. I am not desensitized to the violence, it looks really sick. I don't admire actors who spread that kind of garbage for profit, they are feeding the corporate hollywood beast, and perpetuating violent behavior. Whatever sells. I'm not buying it anymore but go on if it pleases you.

to violence.

As a child, I rose to my feet protesting the injustice/violence with knee-jerk righteous indignation at the movie 'Mutiny on the Bounty" My mom had difficulty quieting me.

That movie is mild by today's standards, and children are exposed to far more horrific images that they watch in complete passivity. That is actually a sea change.

...Sometimes I wonder if it hasn't been deliberate, like we know the dumbing down of America has been deliberate.

Yup, so that torture and the general brutalization of society by police and other public officials and of people in other countries by military and spy personnel becomes 'normalized'.

My roommates watch a couple of series where it sounds as though people are constantly being tortured, beaten and killed. I can't bear hearing this, fictional or not, yet they love and watch this stuff with zombie expressions showing whenever I stick my head in in passing to ask if anyone else wants coffee or whatever...

We just had a conversation following a stop where someone had asked us for a smoke, which I supplied. One said that he wouldn't have given her one, as she smelled of glue and he wouldn't give anything to a sniffer, with which my other roommate agreed, together with other criticisms.

I said something about having sympathy for anyone having a miserable enough life that they'd destroy their health and brain function by sniffing glue in order to get away from it for a while and tactfully made a few other points related to other issues raised (mainly wasting money it was being assumed that they had, although stuff happens) and eventually they went suddenly silent - having (unmentioned) family members with addiction and other issues, who they would not want to see treated with contempt or denied help on such grounds.

This is programmed brainwashing, where 'they' do not merit compassion and assistance which 'we' do. And it is sickening society and our souls.

@Ellen North lol, it would be so great if the press just started using those best words, like "Did Chief of Staff Kelly cockblock that old Independent Senator from proposing new legislation this session? Or was it that young cocksucker Paul Ryan? "Enquiring minds want to know" LOL moar swamp, chomp chomp! Gooo Trump.

Well, the Last Trump certainly isn't boring, at any rate, and the press may well modernize its language to the happy point of which you speak.

Of course if Pence or another rabid religious fanatic gets into the Hot Seat, we'll be bowdlerized with the use of stonings, and not in a good sense... Personally, I fight the repressive fundie influence by using the terms which ongoing obscenities demand, as you may have noticed.

ineptitude coming from the WH in it's history. Think about it, the "White House COMMUNICATIONS Director". Trump hires the guy to communicate for the WH, he goes out and communicates for a few days, then gets fired because he can't fucking communicate!
Did Trump pull his name out of a hat or what?

up

@Big Al I mean, it's possible to take things on face value, though these days I am very reluctant to do so. If I was looking to cause more chaos/loss of face for Trump, it seems like it would be easy enough to lead him down a path with someone like this. Just make him think it was his decision and you've got a two for one because it'll be tied around his neck too.

I'm probably overthinking it. I'm sure he needs no help digging his own holes. But the guy seems pretty easy to manipulate, if one was wanting to.

@Dr. John Carpenter start coming out. But you'd have to think Trump at least put some thot into it with him firing the guy before this one and the import of the so called leaks to him. Trump probably liked his no nonsense, "I'll fire those responsible" for the leaks approach but didn't understand he was also a supremo idiot.
Just total ineptitude as I said above. I worked for the fed govt for 30 years and can only imagine what a zoo this administration is and one way or another that goes to Trump.

@Dr. John Carpenter that perhaps the Mooch's job was to out Priebus so he could be fired. Maybe he didn't expect to stay long?

More likely, this is just a thought, an effort to impose order on chaos so my brain doesn't jump the rails.

he fired The Mooch, except maybe for the uncomfortable fact that the Mooch sounds just like him, albeit without the profanity. Trump doesn't need profanity as he himself is so profane to not really need it to get his point across. And I'd bet the Bible thumpers in his Admin didn't like the Mooch one little bit. All that nasty language, so unnecessary when you don't need to cuss people out to fuck with them mercilessly.
