Imran Awan arrested at Dulles Airport

Debbie Wasserman Schultz's IT staffer, Imran Awan was arrested this afternoon at the Dulles Airport while trying to flee the country. Awan, his two brothers along with two wives and another Pakistani, have been under investigation by the Capitol Police since February. The Awans worked for twenty Democrats in the House since 2008 or thereabouts. Most House Reps fired them upon learning of the investigation, but Wasserman Schultz kep Imran Awan on her payroll until now.

Just a day after reports emerged that the FBI had seized a number of "smashed hard drives" and other computer equipment from the residence Imran Awan, the IT aide of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, we learn that Awan has been captured at the Dulles airport while attempted to flee the country. According to Fox News, Awan has been charged with bank fraud.

This story is just the tip of the iceberg of corruption within the Democratic party and hopefully the arrest of Imran Awan, who was supposedly the ring leader of the financial scam and what I believe to be a spy ring, will finally begin to blow apart the systemic corruption that permeates not only the Democratic party, but our entire government. Zero Hedge has more on this story.

It is time to shed a bright spotlight on just this one facet of the deeply embedded corruption that festers within our government. This is only the tip of the iceberg. There are far more heinous things going on involving the Clintons and many top government officials including human trafficking, pedophilia, and illegal weapons trafficking.

He was not trying to flee the country, that is fake news.
There was a misunderstanding about his long in advance travel plans. He was just going out for some family time, to get a sandwich, get some smokes, and he swore he'd be right back!
And really, he was on a fact finding mission about a potential lead on a trace which an unnamed source claims conclusively proves the dnc was hacked by Russia.

It means there's more than one power in DC.

@Cant Stop the Macedonian Signal There is said to be another Deep State faction by "they", whomever "they" are, which wants to re-industrialize Amerikkka. I suspect the reason is not altruistic in the least. The DS has factions that are not deluded by the DC bubble and know our country is in deep doo-doo. They know we cannot maintain our military with the current degree of critical outsourcing. They know that our military is a bloated, over-fed shell for today's modern war. Good point about the independent media

This is why they are pushing for net neutrality. Websites that help spread their propaganda will not be tampered with. Websites that spread the truth wil see their spread cut or done away altogether.
TPTB will not go gentlely into the night.
How many people are even aware of this happening? They are so busy just trying to survive by working more than one job and then having family responsibilities, there isn't any time left for them to dig out the truth.

They are the Deep State. The rank and file are not a part of the cabal from what I am gathering based upon reports I have read. As long as the moneyed interests control the media, they were safe. For the moment, they are not safe because we are still operating under net neutrality, soon to be disbanded. But I honestly believe that the popular undercurrent on line is empowering some segments of the rank and file in our government to do what is right.

What we are witnessing IMHO is the battle between the Deep State actors and the rank and file government who are loyal to the people, including many in the FBI. The acting head of the FBI (McCabe) has been called out by Trump on Twitter. How this ends is anyone's guess, but the information about the Awans and DWS is now out there and that is a good thing.

I have no idea if these types of website are reliable or not, but there are so many that cover the same things and have the same people and families who are part of the plan.

and we watched it really take off during Obama's presidency.
Income inequality skyrocketed under him and the wealthy saw more transfer of wealth than anytime before the great depression.

How and why people who are pining for him to still be their president can not see what is in front of the eye is something I can not understand. The only think he brought to his presidency was his smarmy charm which was only skin deep. No person could do the things that he did foreign policy wise could be a 'great family man'

Oh yes! There are certainly many more power

structures in DC. There is the Council for foreign relations, the trilateral commission, the bildeburg group and many others. This power structure isn't just in our government, but in most of the governments in other countries.

Look at the roaming austerity programs that are hitting country after country. Joe posted an article about the French president defunding the housing budget that helps the poor and gives more money to the rich.
This has been happening in this country every time the budget is up for review. The farm bill is looked at every 5 years. Last time the republicans wanted to cut $40 billion from it while giving more tax breaks to the big ag farms.
This year they want to cut it by $200 billion. This is just insane and beyond cruel.

I don't think that is going to happen

Remember that Trump ran on killing ISIS and their families. He has given control of the military over to the generals and has loosened the rules regarding civilian deaths during "war times"

He may have worked with Putin for the Syrian ceasefire, but he's going to let the generals decide on how many troops are going to Afghanistan and he's continuing to help the Saudis commit genocide in Yemen. We will continue to sell them weapons, including cluster bombs that the use of them are considered to be war crimes. He will continue to sell them jets and other equipment and who the hell knows what he will do with North Korea and Iran?

There may be multiple actors competing for the reins of power in what is now pretty much of a vacuum with a Congress that refuses to do its job and an idiot for President. @gulfgal98 Metro Police is under the purview of Washington D.C. as a city entity. It is thus allegedly responsible to a citizen police review board--you know, the one Tony Podesta's ex-wife was (and still may be) a member of. I'm sure that no political considerations would ever mar their devotion to enforce justice equally (s/).

The Capitol police are under the jurisdiction of some congressional committee, which one I do not know.

The difference is immediately obvious. Seth Rich investigation has been a cover-up from day 1. Debbie Dragonface's sedition and/or treason, is now being investigated re the Awans.

Credit union officials permitted the wire to go through, and his wife has already fled the country to Pakistan, after police confronted her at the airport and found $12,000 in cash hidden in her suitcase but did not stop her from boarding.

“On January 18, 2017 at 12:09 pm, an international wire transfer request form was submitted [at the Congressional Federal Credit Union] at the Longworth House Office Building in the District of Columbia, in the amount of $283,000.00, to two individuals in Faisalabad, Pakistan,” according to an affidavit obtained by TheDCNF.

Regarding the wire transfer that Awan made:

The affidavit also paints him as an overly confident con artist, saying he listed his House phone number when initiating the wire transfer, and pretended to be a woman — his wife — on the phone when a Congressional Federal Credit Union questioned the transfer. “The person answering the call, who was a male, pretended that he was Alvi. On the call, the [bank] representative asked the man to verify the address of where the wire was being sent and the purpose of the outgoing wire,” the document says.

“The CFCU representative then stated that ‘funeral arrangements’ may not be an acceptable reason for the wire. The male speaking to the representative then responded that he would look online for an acceptable reason for the wire. After a long pause, the male said that the reason for the wire was ‘buying property.’ The representative accepted that reason and initiated the wire transfer to Pakistan.”

@Cant Stop the Macedonian Signal but I believe these Pakistanis (the Awans) are part of a world wide arms smuggling cabal that is tied to the CLintons and other powerful people. This is based upon some information provided by several people whom I am following on twitter and elsewhere.

I still contend that DWS is perpetrator, not a victim in this scam.

The Awans were introduced to her by Florida Rep Ted Deutsch, another Dem from south Florida. I am not sure how he came to know them. But they were paid at a much higher salary than comparable staff. Through DWS, other Dems hired them until they worked for twenty Reps, all Democrats.

This is one summary that details what has been uncovered about the Awan family and the House of Reps. I cannot vouch for the correctness of all the facts in it as it differs from my own recollection, particularly the two wives and only three brothers. Also I originally read elsewhere that Ted Deutsch was the first Rep to use them, although the Gregory Meeks connection seems very probable.

They have not even disentangled themselves from the Bush crime family, much less publicly condemned them, much less changed their policy direction from the one put in place by that family and its chief associates (Cheney, Rumsfeld, the Carlyle group, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Likkud party in Israel, and others). In fact, a member of that crime family ran for their party's nomination and they allowed it. Sounds to me like they are still in support of that crime family and the crimes it committed to get in office, stay in office, and wreck the world while in office.

I see no need to keep repeating that the Republican politicians and their donors are criminals, like I see no need to repeat that we need air to breathe or that going to Mars requires a spaceship. I figured out by 2011 that the Democrats were of the same ilk, but there's a large contingent of people who did not realize that this organization and its leaders are actually criminals. And before you start talking about the Iraq War--there were a number of Democratic politicians who voted against the Iraq war, and though it's hard to remember, there even were some Democrats in opposition to Bush's expanded police state. So there was ample reason for many people to think there was a difference between the organizations.

Now people are confronting the fact that the Democratic Party is willing to do just about anything, up to and including election fraud and even murder, in order to preserve its status quo. That is a new realization for many. So it is news, unlike the fact that the largely Bush faction-controlled Republican party remains a criminal organization 14-17 years after most of us figured out that it was one.

Sorry there aren't enough criticisms of Republicans on here for your taste, but what the hell is there to say? Here they are, they're still shit, they're doing more extreme versions of the same shit we've seen them do twenty-five thousand times.
